* The Whole Enchilada Fresh Mexican Grill.

Lucy, can you splain to me as to exactly what “…for about 55 bucks” means?

Does it mean $55.01, or does it mean $54.23, or does it mean $58.97, or does it mean $53.34?

Jeff Eats has yet to try this small-Mexican fast-fast food chain out. Maybe you guys know, do I negotiate my bill when I order or when I get my food?

* 28th Annual Boca Fest.

Great way to kill a couple of hours…

Nothing beats- beautiful weather and getting to see the same paintings, sculptures, chazari- that you already saw and will undoubtedly see again- at street-fairs in Delray Beach, Jupiter, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Coral Springs- so on and so forth.

For what it’s worth, Cynic Jeff Eats and She Thinks She’s The Boss Of The Family Mrs. Jeff Eats will be at the 28th Annual Boca Fest on Sunday, January 11, 2015 around 2:30pm. I’ll be the one wearing the sandals with black mid-calf socks!

The Wise Guys of Comedy (Meatball Room-Boca Raton)

* The Wise Guys of Comedy.

You know and Jeff Eats knows, that Meatball Room’s game is to get you to eat & drink…with that in mind, the joint has a real good- “FREE” comedy show set for Friday Night, January 9, 2015 at 8pm…so do the right thing!

How do I know that the show is gonna be “real good”?…

Jeff Eats has seen all 3-comedians and they are all-strong…

To give you some idea as to what to expect…Jeff Eats dug-up a 9/15/12 “story” I did on comedian Peter J. Fogel who is on the bill…

***** PETER J. FOGEL *****

Last night Mrs. Jeff Eats and I saw the “Coco Burlesque Cabaret Show” at The Pavilion located in the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino in Coconut Creek (www.seminolecoconutcreekcasino.com)…it’s a terrific variety show priced at 25 bucks and currently “plays” Friday nights at 9pm.

The shows’ “master of ceremonies” is Delray resident—Peter J. Fogel who has to be one of the funniest comics that Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats have seen in a very-very long time. Last night Fogel’s “clean” act had the crowd of 1,250 literally in stitches and screaming for more.

I’ve found in life, that many times, some of the best things are right in your own backyard. Over the past 5 years or so, Jeff Eats has seen Fogel live-something like 7 times in local South Florida comedy clubs (such as the New York Comedy Club in Deerfield Beach)…I’ve also seen him a number of times on local South Florida television programs.
The interesting thing about Fogel, every-time I’ve caught him he has had new material—and the “old stuff” is so funny that I often find myself wiping tears from my eyes even though I already know the punchlines…this guy cracks me up.

Trust me on this one, Peter J. Fogel is good–real good.

Here are two suggestions for you guys…

Catch Fogel in the Coco Burlesque Cabaret Show–or catch his “full” 45-60 minute set at a local comedy club. In any event- if you like to laugh—make it your business to see Peter J. Fogel.

Fogel’s website is www.peterfogel.com.

***** KFC- Chicken Pot Pie.

Now, be nice- and don’t bust Jeff Eats’ balls here (and yes, I know this is a family-type-blog site!) but yesterday, I ate lunch at KFC (360 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach) and I “ordered” one of “its”- Chicken Pot Pie $5 FILL UPS and the chicken pot pie was off the chart…delicious!

Now, you can do whatever you’d like with the info…all I know, is that I had “me” (you’all do know, that we’all be living down here in the South!) a terrific pot pie, fountain soda and pretty decent chocolate cookie for 5 bucks plus tax.

The Amerigo Vespuccis out there, can check kfc.com for a location near you.

* For Crying Out Loud- It’s The Freaking Three Stooges, Man!

Look at how the clowns at Comcast describe the On-Demand movie, The Three Stooges.

No wonder “our” service is always screwed-up!

Bet you a buck, Comcast would “describe” The Beatles as Ringo, George, Paul and John!

* Rolling Stones Tribute The U.S. Stones Play The Hits Live.

This is a personal note to the folks- who own Jazziz Nightlife (jazziz.com) in Boca Raton…

This morning…

Jeff Eats “got” the below goldstar.com offer- for The U.S. Stones’ Sunday- January 18, 2015 at 7:30pm appearance.

Seriously…

Do you guys honestly believe- that the “demand” to see Florida based TRIBUTE BAND-The U.S. Stones is so huge- that you can charge 50 bucks or even 25 bucks a head? If you do, Jeff Eats got a Bridge in Brooklyn that I’d like to sell you!- I’ll bet you a buck, that you ain’t gonna be happy campers with the “paying” turnout on this event.

Like I said 2.1 seconds ago, The U.S. Stones- is a TRIBUTE BAND- better you should have “them” for FREE and make your money at the bar…or maybe charge “something to get in” and throw a couple of drinks or some type of food-into the mix!

Just for the record, Jeff Eats isn’t picking on The U.S. Stones- they are a good act, the picking is directed at Jazziz Nightlife for trying to make something- out of basically nothing!

Look!

Jeff Eats knows that your Mizner Park location- means a killer overhead- but trust me, bringing in tribute acts like this and TRYING TO CHARGE THE NUMBERS ADVERTISED tells me that Jazziz’s future_______________ (I’ll let you guys fill in the blanks).

* Elvis Presley’s Jets For Sale.

Jeff Eats just read the below-story on dailyfinance.com.

Nothing for nothing, Jeff Eats is “still” a big-fan…but don’t you think that THIS is really-pissing money away?

I could-see maybe springing for a guitar, or maybe a cape, or maybe even a jumpsuit or two…but this!

Thank you very much.

Got Lots of Money, Honey? You Can Buy Elvis’ Jets.

Elvis Presley’s pair of personal jets, one complete with gilded wash basin and plush sleeping quarters, will go under the hammer in a sealed-bid auction, Julien’s Auctions, of Beverly Hills, California, said on Friday.

Jets “Lisa Marie” and “Hound Dog II” that the late King of Rock and Roll designed himself will be offered together to bidders and are expected to fetch between $10 million and $15 million. They are no longer airworthy, but have been on view for visitors at Graceland — Presley’s Memphis, Tennessee, estate — for the past three decades. Presley bought the Convair 880 jet from Delta Air Lines in 1975, two years before his death at age 42, for $250,000. He named it “Lisa Marie” after his daughter. Presley spent more than $300,000 refurbishing the jet with a penthouse bedroom, executive conference room, bar and videotape system linked to four TVs. He had the plane painted red, white and blue with his motto “TCB” — “Takin’ Care of Business” — on the tail.

He purchased the eight-to-10 passenger “Hound Dog II,” a Lockheed Jetstar, also in 1975 for about $900,000 while waiting on the refurbishment of the “Lisa Marie.” The four-engine 28-passenger Convair could fly Presley, who preferred to travel at night, up to 3,000 miles. Only 65 of the Convair 880 model jets were produced from 1959 to 1962.

The buyer also has the option to purchase several acres adjacent to Graceland to display the jets, independent of the Presley museum. An agreement between Graceland and the jets’ current owners, whose identity wasn’t disclosed, is set to expire at the end of April.

Lavell Crawford (Palm Beach Improv- West Palm Beach)

Posted on January 5th, 2015 · American Music/Events/Other West Palm Beach · 4 Comments »

* Lavell Crawford.

One of the hippest-funniest comedians currently working the comedy club/casino/event circuit.

Crawford works “blue”- but trust Jeff Eats, unless you’re a- nun-or something, you’ll be able to handle him. Crawford always has a “twinkle” in his eyes-that tell- you that he’s just playing with you…by the way, no insult intended to Jeff Eats’ readers who just happen to be nuns!

Lavell Crawford is scheduled to appear at the Palm Beach Improv, Januray 9-11, 2015. You can catch tickets at palmbeachimprov.com.

Guaranteed this is a SRO thing! This guy is huge (pun intended).
