Four Seasons Restaurant (Boca Raton)

* Four Seasons Reastaurant.

Jeff Eats recently caught this Four Seasons Restaurant advertisement in the Sun Sentinel.

image

Nothing for nothing, I’m thinking that this restaurant isn’t “connected” to the Four Seasons Hotels’ chain, nor Manhattan’s legendary The Four Seasons Restaurant, nor Frankie’s singing group…could be wrong, but I don’t think so!

Know absolutely nothing about this new- Four Seasons Restaurant now located in a center along with Home Goods and Marshalls…

Just a drop leery when I see guys using- A NAME LIKE THIS, but that’s just Jeff Eats’ take on things!

We’ll see…

Real simple story,

This hole in the wall- deli has been in the exact same spot since 1974. If you want delicious-humongous-reasonably priced sandwiches, you now know where to go!

By the way, Jeff Eats mentioned the Large Turkey Off The Frame Sandwich-just to get your attention…everything is good at this joint!

Jeff Eats has been “hearing” about the Footlighters Club for years…

I understand, that past Footlighters’ “EVENTS” have been off the chart- amazing!

Now-I ask you, seriously, how can this luncheon not be a great event with the likes of…Neil Sedaka, Connie Francis, Freddie Roman, Dick Capri, Joni James, Rodi Alexander, Trini Lopez, Jay Black, Ann Anello, Pat Cooper, Ben E. King, Gianni Russo and The Platters all in attendance!

Trust Jeff Eats on this one, based on the “talent” involved- this Tribute to Neil Sedaka- is gonna play-at the same level as many of the awards shows- that you normally only get to watch on TV!!!

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats are gonna be at the Neil Sedaka Tribute-on Thursday, February 12, 2015.

A suggestion for you-guys out there…put the tee shirt/shorts/flip flops away for the afternoon- throw on a pair of pants, maybe even a sports jacket-and come have a great afternoon! As for you ladies, I know that you know what to wear, so Jeff Eats-got nothing to say!

Jersey Dawg (Food Truck)

Posted on January 17th, 2015 · American Fast Food Fort Lauderdale · No Comments »

***** Jersey Dawg.

You know when something just hits the spot!

Well, Jeff Eats recently caught-up with food-truck… Jersey Dawg and I gotta tell you that its deep fried hot dog, flat top grilled cheeseburger smothered in grilled onions and French fries were absolutely delicious.

Just that simple, a food truck that I spotted “parked” in a Shell Gas Station at 6201 North Powerline Road, Fort Lauderdale -really came through for me!

From what I understand, Jersey Dawg is at the Shell Gas Station…Monday-Friday 11am-3:30pm.

You can check Jersey Dawg’s full Dade/Broward/Palm Beach schedule at jerseydawg.com.

While Jeff Eats is on the subject of deep-fried-hot dogs…the last time (before Jersey Dawg)- I had one of these suckers- was about a year ago at the legendary Rutt’s Hut in Clifton, New Jersey (ruttshut.com)…if you’ve never eaten “one” you now know about two “joints”- namely Jersey Dawg and Rutt’s Hut- that really make them right!

* Motown Tribute.

The “advertisement” makes it sound or is it look- a whole lot bigger than it really is!

Jeff Eats has seen the “show” and it’s entertaining…that said It Is A Motown Tribute Show- operative word here, TRIBUTE- so don’t be expecting to be seeing no-David Ruffin, Obie Benson, Gladys Horton, Levi Stubbs there!- by the way all of the named artists are unfortunately no longer with us, Jeff Eats is just trying to make a point!

Like I said a few seconds ago, I’ve seen the show and it is entertaining…

Toa Toa Chinese Restaurant (Sunrise)

***** Toa Toa Chinese Restaurant.

Here’s a terrific “out of sight, out of mind” Chinese joint for you…Toa Toa Chinese Restaurant.

The truth be told, Jeff Eats hadn’t been back to Toa Toa since I “reviewed” the joint on 11/13/2008- that is until last night…

Had dinner with Mrs. Jeff Eats and two other couples and Toa Toa blew all 6-of us-away. The beautiful thing about this joint is that it “does” delicious dim sum, delicious Authentic Chinese Food and delicious American Chinese Food. Ordered stuff included- baked bbq pork buns, deep fried shrimp dumplings, steam chicken buns, wonton soup, Peking pork chops, kung pao chicken, beef congee, General Tso’s chicken, beef chow fun, roast pork fried rice…like I said 1.4 seconds ago, the food was delicious.

Toa Toa is a huge winner- really kicking myself for not getting back-there sooner!

You can check menu/prices at toatoachineserestaurant.com.

Printed below is Jeff Eats’ 11/13/2008-review.

***** Toa Toa Chinese Restaurant, 4145 NW 88th Avenue, Sunrise, Florida 33351 (954) 746-8833.

If dim sum is your game, I got a real good joint for you…Toa Toa located in Sunrise, Florida. This is a real “hole-in-the-wall” but the food is outrageously good and cheap. For sure, Toa Toa has tons of the old Brooklyn “standards” but most folks who eat here are into dim sum…loads of dumplings and pot stickers to choose from and the bbq pork stuffed buns are worth the trip alone.

Nothing fancy here…but all of the Chinese folks eating there should be telling you something.

This joint is open every day 11am-10pm, except Wednesday when it is closed. This one, is worth a special trip.
