***** White Castle Cheeseburgers.

A recent e-mail received by Jeff Eats.

Hey Jeff,

My wife and I just retired to Jupiter after living in Commack, Long Island for 46 years.

I’m a big fan of White Castle Cheeseburgers but cant find a White Castle any place in or near Jupiter.

Can you help me out on locations?

Take a look Jeff Eats’ White Castle Cheeseburgers- from 9/9/14 re-printed down below.

Just so you know, there are no White Castle restaurants in Florida. So- like me, you’re gonna have to make do with frozen White Castle sliders which you’ll have to heat-up at home!

You can check whitecastle.com for a list of retailers in Florida. That said- from what I can tell- for right now Walmart seems to be the best retailer price-wise around, getting $9.97 for a box of 16 cheeseburger sliders.

* White Castle Cheeseburgers.

There are no White Castle restaurants in the State of Florida.

Thus the only way to “get” White Castle sliders is to -1. Travel to a White Castle in another state, 2. Have someone in another state ship you sliders, 3. Have someone in another state personally bring sliders to you in Florida, 4. Buy “frozen” White Castle sliders at Florida joints like Publix or Sam’s Club.

To make a long story short, yesterday-right out of nowhere, Jeff Eats was craving White Castle Cheeseburger-sliders. Knowing that only #4 above would work-I drove over to Publix and bought “me” 2 boxes of 6-White Castle Cheeseburgers for $3.49 per box.

Just wanted you guys to know, that Jeff Eats -still got it…between 6:46pm and 7:09pm I downed 9 of the little suckers. Now nothing for nothing, when I was 25 years old, I could easily do 15 sliders if not more in 23 minutes…but hey (God be willing) I’m gonna be 65 next month-so let’s give credit where credit is due!

Finally, the frozen microwavable/or pan heated White Castle sliders came “close” to tasting like the real deal, but nothing and I mean nothing beats the hot-right-off-the-grill sliders that White Castle restaurants turn out.

Consider “this” story a public service announcement -if one day -you finding yourself craving White Castle SLIDERS.

Banana Chocolate Chip Nut Bread.

Earlier this morning while shopping at The Fresh Market, 5540 North Military Trail, Boca Raton, Florida 33496, (561) 994-2221 I came across The Fresh Market’s (house brand)- Banana Chocolate Chip Bread and I gotta tell you guys- it looked amazingly delicious and its $4.49 BOGO price seemed like a no- brainer- buy of a lifetime!

Au contraire!

You guys and Jeff Eats both know that this food reviewing “gig” is purely a subjective call- you know, what I like, you might hate and vice versa!

Let’s just say that-after one bite, both Banana Chocolate Chip Nut Breads ended-up in the old garbage can! I really can’t explain it, but the bread had absolutely and I do mean absolutely- no taste whatsoever! No bs- it was literally like eating a mushy cottonball!

Stand-up comedian Mike Marino – affectionately known to fans as “New Jersey’s Bad Boy” – brings his hysterical take on the Italian-American experience to The RRazz Room at Mizner Park Cultural Center!

A native of Jersey City, Mike’s material is largely inspired by his own life, from his Italian family roots to his edgy observations about everyday life. Just checked the box-office (bocablackbox.com) and goldstar.com (discount tickets) and there are a handful of tickets still available…Look! I know that Dice is a very controversial fellow- that said, if you haven’t yet seen him live, do yourself a big favor and go see him! Just between you guys and Jeff Eats, Andrew Dice Clay is a living legend and will go down in history as one America’s most famous comedians of all time! Jeff Eats has seen Dice many times and I absolutely love the guy! For you guys who are still on the fence, try him, you may like him!- and like I just said he’s a living legend!
