Posted on August 4th, 2016 · Chinese Fast Food · 3 Comments »

***** Pagoda Pork Egg Rolls.

Break out the Clearasil, ’cause Jeff Eats got a real good one for you guys…Pagoda Pork Egg Rolls.

image

Bought a package yesterday in Walmart for $2.97, “cooked” the egg rolls in a microwave for 75 seconds and I gotta tell you, Pagoda’s Pork Egg Rolls were as good if not better than most of the Chinese joints’ pork egg rolls that I’ve been telling you about for the past 10 or so years! Trust Jeff Eats on this one, off the chart delicious!

Just so you know, Pagoda’s frozen egg roll/wonton/potsticker/rangoon lineup is only available in Florida at Walmart and Winn Dixie stores!

Pepperidge Farm Garlic Texas Toast (Walmart- Delray Beach)

***** Pepperidge Farm Garlic Texas Toast.

Real simple tale to tell you guys, last night at 8pm Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats while shopping at Walmart for- lemon pepper rotisserie chicken and fresh ears of corn also purchased (for the first time) a $2.34 package of Pepperidge Farm Garlic Texas Toast. When we got home- Jeff Eats threw 4-frozen slices into the pop-up toaster and I gotta tell you that 2 minutes later- the piping hot Garlic Texas Toast was absolute dynamite!- as were the chicken and corn!

imageimageimage

Like I said 2-seconds ago, a real simple tale to tell…

If you like garlic bread, Jeff Eats can’t even imagine- your not enjoying Pepperidge Farm Garlic Texas Toast!

You can check pepperidgefarmcom for retail outlets/info.

For you non-math majors out there, last night’s meal cost a grand total of $4.33 (chicken $2.50, 2 ears of corn $.66, 4 slices of toast $1.17)!

__________

* $2.50 Walmart Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Chickens.

Way-back on February 11, 2016 Jeff Eats told you guys about-how delicious Walmart’s Rotisserie Chickens were. That tale is reprinted down-below!

Long story short, since that tale appeared, I have literally been telling anyone and everyone who would listen about these slices of toastchickens.

Anyway, a few days ago a Walmart cashier (Linton Boulevard & Military Trail- Delray Beach store) told me that every day at 8pm the $4.99 rotisserie chickens are marked down to $2.50 a piece. When those chickens are sold, the next freshly made batch are priced at the “regular” $4.99 price. Just so you know, last night at 8:02pm Jeff Eats purchased 4- Walmart lemon paper rotisserie chickens and the cashier charged me 10 bucks- so I know the lady (cashier) spoke the truth…interestingly, nowhere in the store is this “markdown” advertised in print, this is simply a “word of mouth” situation! The one caveat to the $2.50 “tale”- Jeff Eats isnt sure if this markdown is a company-wide policy or just limited to the store I mentioned- the bet here, it’s in all-stores, but like I just said, I’m not sure!

Let’s close this one out by telling you that Walmart’s lemon pepper and tradional rotisserie chickens are dynamite!

As for the $2.50 “tip”- don’t say that Jeff Eats never gave you nothing!

Posted February 11, 2016
* Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Rotisserie Chickens.

Got a real simple story to tell you guys…

For years, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy has been telling me that Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotisserie Chickens were sensationally delicious- and for years Jeff Eats has paid his very dear friend Roy no mind!- That is until yesterday at 3:46pm when Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats just happened to notice a 7 person line waiting at the deli-counter in the Walmart located on Military Road & Linton Avenue in Delray Beach for Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens which were coming-off 2- huge rotisserie grills. To make a long story short, in the span of 4 minutes Jeff Eats counted 12 1 lb. 13 oz. $4.99 birds being “snatched up” -with two (1 Lemon, 1 Traditional) of them finding their way into Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ shopping cart!

Let me wrap this one up for you guys, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy was absolutely right Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens were sensationally delicious. For you guys “into” Costco, Publix, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Boston Market trust Jeff Eats when I tell you that “their” rotisserie chickens are no match for Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens. Now you guys and Jeff Eats both know that “taste” is a subjective thing- what you like -I may hate and vice versa, so do what you’d like with the above Walmart Chicken Information!-and those of you with any sense of good taste can thank Jeff Eats later!

The Show

“Found at Sea” is a hilarious comedy show starring comedian Rick Corso.

Plenty of jokes, stories, impressions and music about life on land and cruise ships. Rick constantly performs on nearly every cruise line including the world’s largest ships where he is currently a huge favorite. He’s rarely on land so we took this opportunity to have him bring his comedy along with his friends and other ship favorites Comedy Juggler Billy Prudhomme and Comedian Carl Guerra to the Boca Black Box for one night only.

Bio

Originally from New Jersey, now a South Florida Resident, Rick Corso spent twenty-two years as a Los Angels comedian. He’s made over thirty national television appearances, was selected as one of Showtime’s Comedy Club All-stars and also picked to be a member of Comedy Central’s “The A-List. ” He moves smoothly in and out of characters and some lively impressions. His excellent use of his voice and his body combined with well-written material make his stage personalities freshly funny and a far cry from the stale stereotypes employed by many stand-ups.

29th Annual Dancin’ in the Streets (Stuart)

Posted on August 2nd, 2016 · Fast Food Music/Events/Other Stuart · No Comments »

* 29th Annual Dancin’ in the Streets.

Not exactly sure as to why Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats have never “done” Dancin’ in the Streets before…

Just purchased 2-General Admission Tickets and 2-Tickets to see The Outlaws at The Lyric Theatre.

image

from StuartDancinInTheStreets.com

The Downtown Stuart Business Association has announced the 2016 lineup of musical acts for the 29th Annual Dancin’ in the Streets! The largest street party and music festival on the Treasure Coast will take place on six stages with over twenty bands from 3 p.m. — midnight on Sat., Aug. 20 in Downtown Stuart.

Anchoring the festival will be national headliners The Outlaws in a limited seating special performance at The Lyric Theatre. Rounding out this year’s lineup will be Ben Prestage, Public Sounds Collective, Nouveaux Honkies, The Humdingers and JessLee on stage one. Stage two includes The Sierra Band, Sister Baby, Nashville recording artist Raquel Renner and the Ramblers, Ladies of Soul and Relapse Band. Bryce Allyn Band, Smoking Section, Morning Fatty and Moska Project will perform on stage three. Tony Solomon and Fullhouse Entertainment present local amateurs and up and comers on stage four. And stage five includes performers Cassidy Diana, Chris King, 10k Hours, Deal James and Summer Gill, Sting Assassins and Ryan & Friends.

“Every year Dancin’ in the Streets brings incredible energy and fun to Historic Downtown Stuart,” said event chair Bill Moore. “This year promises to continue the tradition and deliver an amazing evening of live music, dancing, talent and community spirit.”

Limited tickets for this special indoor performance by headliner The Outlaws will be available starting in July at The Lyric Theatre box office and online at www.lyrictheatre.com. General admission tickets will be available starting in July at Seacoast Bank locations in Martin, St. Lucie, Palm Beach and Indian River Counties, at Sneaky Tiki, and at Kilwin’s Chocolate and Ice Cream in Downtown Stuart.

Every year, the streets of Downtown Stuart shut down and the community comes out for a day of live musical performances, food, drinks, vendors, kids activities and of course – dancing in the streets! It all began in the Summer of 1987, when a call was made to community leaders from the Stuart/Martin Chamber of Commerce to brainstorm a fundraising event that would keep the newly established Stuart Main Street program alive. Twenty-nine years later, Downtown Stuart is still Dancin’ in the Streets! Today, the event is presented by the Downtown Business Association of Stuart and Stuart Main Street. It continues to be Downtown Stuart’s biggest fundraising event, drawing thousands of people to the area each year. Funds from Dancin’ in the Streets support downtown revitalization efforts like outdoor dining, the Riverwalk expansion, and free community events including Hobgoblins on Main Street, Rock’n Riverwalk and Christmas on Main Street. In the past decade alone, Dancin’ has brought nearly 65,000 people downtown and raised almost a half-million dollars.

The event also supports volunteer groups from community non-profits. In 2015 contributions were made to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, the Stuart Police Explorers Program, Road to Victory Military Museum, House of Hope and Martin Volunteers.

Dancin’ in the Streets is sponsored by Coast 101.3, Courthouse Commons, LLC, Bud Light, Seacoast Bank, The Boat House, and Mulligan’s Beach House. For more information, visit StuartDancinIntheStreets.com or facebook.com/stuartdancininthestreets.
