“We’re proud to announce Billy Gardell will be coming to Boca Black Box on May 11th @ 8pm and May 12th @ 7 pm and 9 pm!

Emmy nominated actor and comedian Billy Gardell starred in the CBS Hit television series, MIKE & MOLLY as Officer Mike Biggs from 2010-2016. MIKE & MOLLY continues to air in syndication to this day.

As a followup to the hit CBS series, Billy has taken a dramatic turn in the CMT series Sun Records as Colonel Tom Parker, the infamous manager of Elvis Presley. The drama series was inspired by the Broadway musical.

In 2016 he received a Daytime Emmy nomination as Best Gameshow Host for Monopoly Millionaires Club.

Before Mike and Molly, Gardell co-starred in the critically acclaimed television series Lucky. His other television credits include Yes Dear and Judging Amy, on the Network, My Name is Earl, The Practice, Monk and Gary the Rat.

He made his major motion picture debut alongside Anthony Quinn and Sylvester Stallone in Avenging Angelo, and had a memorable scene with Billy Bob Thornton in the Cohen Brother’s film Bad Santa. He also appeared in You, Me & Dupree.

As a standup comic, Gardell took the long road to Hollywood, stopping at every small town lounge, military base and comedy club along the way. His comedy act took him to Los Angeles where his dedication to acting, along with touring as a stand-up comedian, allowed him to grow consistently in both arenas. His stand-up show is a powerhouse. His grounded, down-to-earth point of view strikes a strong chord with American audiences. Stories about his rough childhood, wild adolescence and new family life are executed with the skill of a master craftsman. His comedy specials, Billy Gardell: Halftime, premiered on Comedy Central and Billy Gardell Presents Road Dogs premiered on Showtime.”

From 1957 to 1962, The Everly brothers sold more than 35 million records and had 35 Billboard Hot 100 singles (including 26 in the top 40), and still to this day, carry the record for most billboard charting hits of any American duo. Their success at the time was only rivaled by Elvis. In January of 2016, brothers Zachary & Dylan Zmed and their partner Burleigh Drummond launched The Everly Brothers Experience. Since then, they have celebrated the pivotal sounds of The Everly Brothers music with enthusiastic crowds all across the US and overseas in iconic clubs, theaters, performing arts centers, casinos, ballrooms, and coliseums. Growing up with a father, (Adrian Zmed) as a traveling singer/dancer/actor (Grease 2, Bachelor Party, T.J. Hooker), and a mother (Barbara) as a second grade teacher in a suburb of Los Angeles, the Zmed Brothers continually strive to pay homage to their roots by always infusing an instinctual blend of entertainment (a la The Smothers Brothers) and contextual education in their performance. The Zmeds say, “We are not impersonators. I’m a big fan of White Castle Cheeseburgers but cant find a White Castle any place in or near Jupiter.

Take a look Jeff Eats’ White Castle Cheeseburgers- from 9/9/14 re-printed down below.

Just so you know, there are no White Castle restaurants in Florida. So- like me, you’re gonna have to make do with frozen White Castle sliders which you’ll have to heat-up at home!

You can check whitecastle.com for a list of retailers in Florida. That said- from what I can tell- for right now Walmart seems to be the best retailer price-wise around, getting $9.97 for a box of 16 cheeseburger sliders.

* White Castle Cheeseburgers.

There are no White Castle restaurants in the State of Florida.

Thus the only way to “get” White Castle sliders is to -1. Travel to a White Castle in another state, 2. Have someone in another state ship you sliders, 3. Have someone in another state personally bring sliders to you in Florida, 4. Buy “frozen” White Castle sliders at Florida joints like Publix or Sam’s Club.

To make a long story short, yesterday-right out of nowhere, Jeff Eats was craving White Castle Cheeseburger-sliders. Knowing that only #4 above would work-I drove over to Publix and bought “me” 2 boxes of 6-White Castle Cheeseburgers for $3.49 per box.

Just wanted you guys to know, that Jeff Eats -still got it…between 6:46pm and 7:09pm I downed 9 of the little suckers. Now nothing for nothing, when I was 25 years old, I could easily do 15 sliders if not more in 23 minutes…but hey (God be willing) I’m gonna be 65 next month-so let’s give credit where credit is due!

Finally, the frozen microwavable/or pan heated White Castle sliders came “close” to tasting like the real deal, but nothing and I mean nothing beats the hot-right-off-the-grill sliders that White Castle restaurants turn out.

Consider “this” story a public service announcement -if one day -you finding yourself craving White Castle SLIDERS.
