For years- Jeff Eats has been hearing about Tasty Home Cookin a Sarasota “mom & pop” breakfast/lunch/dinner diner that supposedly makes absolutely amazing delicious hamburger sliders- long story short, yesterday Jeff Eats finally “got” to Tasty Home Cookin and yes!-the joint makes absolutely amazing delicious hamburger sliders!

Can’t leave Mrs. Jeff Eats out of this tale- while I was devouring 3- sliders ($5.50 with french fries and a fountain drink), Mrs. Jeff Eats gave Tasty Home Cookin’s meatloaf dinner ($9.95 entree & 3 sides) a shot- and I gotta tell you, like the sliders and fries, absolutely delicious!

Let me wrap Tasty Home Cookin up for you guys by saying, this joint is an absolute home-run! Nothing fancy going on here- table/booth seating, delicious food, cheap prices (I mean inexpensive), terrific staff…and no matter what you do- you gotta order the joint’s hamburger sliders!

Tasty Home Cookin is open Monday-Friday 7am-8pm, Saturday 7am-3pm, Sunday 8am-3pm.

According to reports, customers make 60% of their decisions based on colour of the product alone and there are multiple reasons for using different colours.

Think about the advertising panels and logos of McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut. What do you find common among all these? One major similarity is the colour that they use. The science behind using these colours is called ketchup and mustard theory.

Scientists believe that both these colours have the ability to encourage viewers to eat. Also, colours are the fastest mode of communication for our brain. Yellow is a symbol of happiness, excitement, and cheer and red is an attention seeker causing triggers of appetite and hunger. Red makes us feel warm, loved and comfortable which is necessary for a good long meal. Yellow grabs our attention from a long distance and it also increases the speed of our metabolism.
Experts believe that combination of these 2 colours create the perfect combination of emotions and feelings to make people feel hungry and spend more time while having a meal.

Even if this theory is not 100 percent correct, companies do believe that there is something special about red and yellow which makes them use these colours. It is clear from the results that there is definitely a connection of colours in making us feel hungry. In the age of competing, brands use every possible tactic to attract customer and there is nothing bad about using the same colours if it effective for increasing sales.

Just between us, if Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats had but-one event to attend- it definitely would be to see The Beach Buoys (thebeachbuoys.com) on Saturday, July 21st (8pm)- hearing some really terrific things about this Michigan based band’s tribute to The Beach Boys. Like I just said, keep this between us-as I don’t want to piss-off the other scheduled bands!

All of these concerts/movies are complimentary- all you gotta do is bring yourself!

Jeff Eats is kinda thinking that the Broward Center’s booking of the Jersey Boys- On Tour is a case of “Going To The Well Once Too Often”…

Just between you guys and me, I seriously doubt that there is a single person in America who hasn’t either seen the Jersey Boys Broadway Show- or Jersey Boys Movie!😀

Great Value Fudge Graham Cookies.

Real simple tale for you guys, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats bought a package of Walmart’s house brand- Great Value Fudge Graham Cookies (13oz- $1.28) at the Walmart Supercenter, 16205 South Military Trail, Delray Beach, Florida 33484- and all I can tell you guys is that these cookies are Lousy and that’s Lousy with a capital “L”…

Look, I know I’m making a subjective call here- but in my day I’ve eaten my fair share of fudge graham cookies and I’m just telling you guys- L O U S Y is being kind! This may sound nuts, but the chocolate literally had no taste- at least to my tastebuds it didn’t!
