Simple tale to tell…
DiBitetto, Minervini and Rubino are three of the funniest “clean” comedians currently working America’s comedy club/casino/convention/country club circuit!
Trust Jeff Eats on this one, I’ve seen all three of these national headlining comedians’ acts and they all kill!

Vic DiBitetto
An incredibly powerful performer, comedian Vic DiBitetto churns energy, honesty and humanity into nonstop laughter. His pace is frenetic. His material vivid and true. He’s been called a cross between Rodney Dangerfield and Ralph Kramden. The bottom line is, DiBitetto leaves his audiences breathless with laughter.
Referred to by most other comics as a “killer”, it means you just can’t follow Vic onstage. And that has been uttered by many very famous stand-ups over the years.
Vic is currently:
Featured in Kevin James’ new movie Mall Cop: Blart 2 coming out in April 2015
Writing and Producing his Ticked Off Vic segment for WPLJ in New York City (reaches 3 million people) an Internet Sensation with over 20 million YouTube views and his now famous Bread and Milk rant
Featured in a video roll-in segment in the play Italian Bred currently in LA and coming to Broadway (Fall 2014)
Starring in an untitled prime time Hulu Original scripted sit-com Fall 2014
Featured performer on the online Funny For Money site (Comedy Central and YouTube venture)
Vic has appeared on television’s America’s Funniest People (ABC) where he was a $10,000 Grand Prize winner as well as Stand-Up Spotlight (VH1) and Last Laugh at Pips and acted in a pilot with Woody Allen and Danny Aiello. In addition, he has warmed-up hundreds of audiences for hit shows such as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and The Ricki Lake Show.
Richie Minervini
Richie Minervini knows how to keep an audience laughing. Richie is well known for his rapid-fire style delivery of good, clean comedy. Richie is the former owner of Long Island’s premier comedy club, The East Side Comedy Club, where celebrities such as Rosie O’Donnell, Jay Leno, Eddie Murphy, Kevin James and Ray Romano started their stand-up careers. Having been “dubbed” The Cameleon of Comedy” by his peers, Richie Minervini adapts easily to any audience or venue.
Fred Rubino
In 2005 Fred became a published author with the release of his conspiracy driven book Nazi Princess: The Final Deception which actually isn’t funny at all!!!
Three years later, Fred turned his interest to writing and performing stand up comedy. Opening up for comics such as Nick Dipaolo and Vic Dibitetto, Fred quickly became the featured comic everyone wanted to use! He has also appeared on Radio Opie and Anthony’s top ten funniest listeners radio show, recently had his performance broadcast live on the internet via Action Audio and has made many appearances on local cable talk shows where he has performed his hilarious standup.
In 2013 he co-starred in a TV pilot with YouTube sensation, movie and TV actor and major comedy headliner Vic Dibitetto. Soon after he signed with Best Entertainment, Fred has been performing at prestigious East Coast clubs and theatres such as Stress Factory , Governors , Bananas and Broadway Comedy Club to name a few. He also has recently been signed to perform at Resorts World Casinos as well as the Tarrytown Music Hall, two very large, important and exclusive venues.
Fred has now successfully transitioned from Featured Comic to Star and Headlining Comedian in his own right!
You can watch him in Vic’s Vignettes on Youtube!

In 1982, after founding “Governor’s Comedy Shop” in Levittown on Long Island and touring as a national headliner, on a suggestion from a Washington DC comedy club owner, he blindly sent his three LP’s to Howard Stern upon Howard’s arrival at WNBC-AM in New York City. Howard called him to make a guest appearance on his radio show. In 1986, Jackie became a full-time cast member and the head writer of Stern’s show, and as they say, the rest is history. Remarkable radio as well as show business history.
Jackie left the Stern show in 2001 after fifteen-year run as head writer of the radio show, four television series, and three Pay-Per-Views. He’s released six dirty joke CD’s … “The Joke Man,” “Sgt. Pecker,” “Hot Dogs & Donuts,” Come Again?!,” F. jackie,” and “snart,” as well as three videos, five joke books and countless joke gadgets of all kinds, for children as well as adults.
In 2006 he released a CD of his original music entitled “Happy Endings,” that he co-produced with guitar legend Frank Vignola.
From 2007-2014, Jackie wrote and performed his own radio show on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, “Jackie’s Joke Hunt,” and he wrote the joke page for Penthouse magazine for 17 years.
Jackie is featured in the red-hot comedy documentary, “The Aristocrats,” over a dozen other independent films, and has appeared on many television shows.
He still works all around the country performing his solo act of rapid-fire filthy jokes and the classic finale, “Stump The Joke Man.” and guests on many of the top national radio shows and podcasts.

***** Nick’s 50’s Diner, 1900 Okeechobee, West Palm Beach, Florida 33409, (561) 471-3155.
For our purposes we’re gonna call Nick’s 50’s Diner an “out of sight, out of mind” diner joint!
Jeff Eats first told you guys about Nick’s 50’s Diner way-back on December 8, 2008- that “story” is reprinted down below…until yesterday morning, Jeff Eats hadn’t been back to Nick’s. Why the hiatus?- (back in 2008, I loved the joint’s food/service/prices, table/booth/counter seating, 50’s decor), like I said a few seconds ago, I’m kinda thinking “out of sight out of mind.”- Something like, I live in Boca Raton and Nick’s in West Palm Beach!
Anyway…
Yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats did breakfast- and the joint totally killed! Delicious western omelette and scrambled eggs/bacon toasted sandwich. Super pleasant service. Constantly filled coffee cups (for what it’s worth, Mrs Jeff Eats said that I should tell you guys- that the coffee was absolutely delicious).

Long story short,
If you’re into top-notch “mom & pop” diners- then you gotta try Nick’s 50’s Diner!

***** Nick’s 50’s Diner, 1900 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida 33409 (561) 471-3155.
Nick’s name says it all…50’s diner…well almost, Nick’s has been around something like 25 years, so you do the math.
Anyway…check Nick’s website at www.nicks50diner.com for menu/loads of pictures and you’ll know exactly what this joint is all about.
Nick’s is a great place for a “diner” breakfast or lunch. Nothing fancy…good food-good prices-pleasant wait-staff. The menu is loaded with breakfast-stuff, salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, meat/seafood/chicken entrees, shakes/malts/ice cream/desserts. My personal favorites, grilled cheese with bacon, chicken fried steak, double cheeseburger and the meatloaf.
If 50’s-diner “look and food” is your bag (it’s mine)…you will really enjoy this joint. Nick’s is open for breakfast-lunch… Monday-Saturday 7am-3pm and Sunday 8am-2pm.

The Amp, The Pompano Beach Amphitheatre, is proud to present one of the world’s finest singers, Aaron Neville, who will be live in concert on Friday, April 8th along with a special set by his brother Art Neville’s band, funky METERS and South Florida band Spred the Dub. Tickets are available January 29th at 10 am at Ticketmaster.
The Grammy-Award winning artist is revisiting the music he grew up with and adding a few spins along the way. His current CD, MY TRUE STORY, is a collection of twelve classic doo-wop numbers, performed in his utterly inimitable vocal style, and co-produced by Blue Note President Don Was and Keith Richards.
The selections on the album include classics by such vocal-group giants as Little Anthony and the Imperials (“Tears on My Pillow”), Hank Ballard and the Midnighters (“Work With Me, Annie”), and the Drifters (“Money Honey,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “This Magic Moment”). To Neville, though, these songs weren’t just the soundtrack to his youth; they became the underpinning for all of the remarkable music he has created across five decades.
“I attended the university of doo-wop-ology,” he says. “Anything I do has got some doo-wop in it. It’s just part of me—it’s the texture that I’m singing in, it’s the endings, it’s the harmonies. At 3 o’clock in the morning, I wake up with a doo-wop song going in my head and I can’t go back to sleep because I’m singing it over and over.”
MY TRUE STORY represents a culmination of Aaron Neville’s incredible career, which has seen him move seamlessly back and forth between solo work and his role in the first family of New Orleans music, the Neville Brothers. His first hit single was the landmark “Tell It Like It Is,” which held the Number One spot on the R&B charts for five weeks in 1967. He went on to win Grammy Awards for his triple-platinum 1989 collaboration with Linda Ronstadt “Cry Like a Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind,” and reached the Country charts with the title track of 1993’s “The Grand Tour.” A member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, his most recent project was the gospel album “I Know I’ve Been Changed” in 2010.
funky METERS:
Formed during an informal jam during the 1989 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Art Neville and George Porter, Jr., founded what would be the core of the funky METERS. The history of founding members Art Neville and George Porter Jr. dates back to 1967, when keyboardist, Art recruited bass player, George, drummer Joseph (Zigaboo) Modeliste and guitarist Leo Nocentelli to form The Meters. In their 31-year history, The Meters have grooved their way around the globe. They have toured with such talents as The Rolling Stones, and have been a studio band for such diverse artists as Dr. John, Paul McCartney, Robert Palmer, and Patti Labelle. The original Meters disbanded in the late 70’s. Today founding members Art Neville and George Porter Jr., are joined by New Orleans native Brian Stoltz on guitar and Terrence Houston on drums and are known officially as the funky METERS. funky METERS tap into the roots of The Meters musical heritage while taking the sound well into the future. Their trademark sound blends funk, blues, and dance grooves with a New Orleans vibe.
Spred the Dub:
Formed in 2007, Spred The Dub has been keeping crowds dancing all over South Florida with their own brand of “Good Time Reggae” music – infusing elements of soul, funk and R&B with a foundation of rocksteady, ska and roots reggae to create sonic landscapes and massive drum & bass rhythms. They have been hard at work making a name for themselves, playing stages all over the state…from local beach bars to club venues, opening for national touring acts like Dirty Heads, The Green, Passafire, and The Movement, as well as reggae legends like The Skatalites, Eek-A-Mouse, Black Uhuru and Yellowman. Their sound is perfect blend of “new style” and “old school” that is sure to get people in the party mood.

***** Miller’s Ale House, 1200 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, Florida 33431, (561) 988-9142.
Jeff Eats is gonna take a shot here and “think” that you guys know what Miller’s Ale House is! If not- sports bar chain that currently has 51 joints in Florida, 1 in Georgia, 2 in Illinois, 1 in Maryland, 1 in Massachusetts, 2 in Nevada, 3 in New Jersey, 6 in New York, 1 in Ohio, 4 in Pennsylvania. You can check millersalehouse.com for locations/menu/prices/operating hours/info.

Way-back on July 12, 2008 Jeff Eats told you-about the Miller’s Ale House in Jupiter, Florida. In 2008 I described the joint’s food as being okay and perfectly priced! That tale is reprinted down-below.
If you guys can keep a secret, since that 7/12/2008 tale printed (until this past Monday) Jeff Eats hadn’t been back “to” a Miller’s Ale House. No particular reason, just hadn’t been back!
Long story short, this past Monday- Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Son Jeff Eats and Daughter Jeff Eats ate dinner at the Miller’s Ale House on Yamato Road in Boca Raton- and I gotta tell you, we had an absolutely great-time. Rather than bother you guys telling you -that this location has a separate bar area/booth/table seating, more flat screen tvs than you can count, a covered out door patio with its own bar, a menu loaded with appetizers- burgers- salads-wings- entrees- desserts- beers- booze…let me tell you that the fried calamari, chicken Caesar salad, chicken nachos, breaded boneless garlic wings, grilled teriyaki wings, bbq baby back ribs, bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, French fries that we ordered were all delicious.

Look! I don’t know about your family, but getting the members of Jeff Eats’ immediate family to agree on virtually anything- is a monumental task. With that in mind, last night-all four of us agreed that the food killed, that the prices were super reasonable and that the service was as competent/pleasant as could be!

As I mentioned a few seconds ago, Jeff Eats hadn’t been to a Miller’s Ale House in something like 7 1/2 years! All I can tell you guys- the joint was absolute dynamite! If the other 71 Miller’s are like the Yamato Road outpost- you now know about a sports bar “chain” that really has its act together- and is an absolute must try!

Miller’s Ale House is open Sunday 11am-midnight, Monday-Saturday 11am-2am.

***** Miller’s Jupiter Ale House, 126 Center Street, Jupiter, Florida 33458 (561) 746-7620
Miller’s owns and operates a “ton” and I do mean a “ton” of sports-bars/ale houses in South Florida. Check millersalehouse.com for locations/menu/prices/hours.
Miller’s joints all take on a local name…in Boca Raton, the joint is the Boca Ale House…in Jupiter the joint is the Jupiter Ale House…in Coral Springs the joint is the Coral Springs Ale House…so on and so forth.
Over the years, I have eaten in a number of Miller’s South Florida locations…my most recent meal being in the Jupiter Ale House 3 weeks ago. All of the Ale Houses look alike…big bar area, tvs galore, small game room, wood booths. The menus are the same…tons of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and entrees…something for everybody. Just so you know, the food is okay- not great…(operative word) OKAY… The prices are cheap…that’s the game…like a 20 oz. bone-in porterhouse steak with french fries for something like 10 bucks.
I have to tell you, that every so often, I really enjoy a grizzly-steak covered in grilled onions and french fries drenched in ketchup that costs $9.99…Sort of reminds me of Tad’s Broiled Steaks (you- New Yorkers know what I am talking about) circa 1960.
The Ale Houses are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Like I said, okay food priced perfectly.
By the way…some of you may not know, but Tad’s Broiled Steaks currently has a location at 152 West 34th Street, New York, New York 10001 (212) 630-0318…those were the days.
* Dreams Crystal Visions of Fleetwood Mac.
A recent e-mail received by Jeff Eats…
Jeff,
Maybe you could help my North Miami community’s Men’s Club out. We are planning a large Sunday afternoon bbq for November, 2016 and would like to have a Fleetwood Mac tribute band play for 90 minutes or so. Can you recommend a band?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
