You probably know Angel Salazar from his role in the 1983 classic film Scarface as Chi-Chi, one of Tony Montana’s closest confidants; little did you know he got his start in the during the comedy boom of the 1980s, and he remains one of the most popular comics on the stand-up circuit today. Salazar describes his act as a hurricane a hilarity, and the pop culture icon certainly has the energy of a Category 5 storm. Using a combination of stand-up, improvisation, props and costumes, Salazar is an onstage whirlwind, bouncing his trademark catchphrase “sheck it out!” amid a flurry of hilarious jokes and pop culture references. You’ve seen him in movies, you’ve seen him on Last Comic Standing — now see him live and in person at the Boca Black Box. Read more

* Cucumber Orient Express.

Just what Jeff Eats needs -a cucumber bush so I can grow my own cucumbers.

It’s absolutely amazing what “crap” some people will try to sell to other people…even more amazing, some people actually buy the “crap”…as P.T. Barnum may or may not have said, “There is a sucker born every minute.”

***** DISH OF THE WEEK (Sunday 4/3/16).

One of Jeff Eats’ favorite menu items…

THE ORIGINAL CHICAGO PIZZA (8″)
$13.99

Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria
12715 South Dixie Highway
Pinecrest

mcrealpizza.com
Latest Review: 7/9/13

Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria makes outrageously delicious Chicago deep dish pizza. The joint’s New York Style pizza and subs ain’t no slouches either.

Just so you know, Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria is basically a “takeout” so don’t- be planning on throwing a wedding party, graduation party or bar mitzvah party there!

***** Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria, 12715 South Dixie Highway, Pinecrest, Florida 33156, (786) 581-9240.

Don’t plan on eating at Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria…for sure its got three tables outside, but that’s about it…

This “hole in the wall” pizza joint does—pizzas, subs. wings, wraps, salads, calzones and strombolis.

Jeff Eats is kinda thinking that you guys by now- have figured out-that…Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria makes 2-kinds of pizza—namely, Chicago Deep Dish and New York Style. The reason I say this- is that the joint after-all is named Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria. Now I could be wrong, but Jeff Eats’ money is on you guys!

A recent outing had me taking-out an 8″ “original” Chicago pizza ($13.99–ground beef & sausage/tomato sauce/mozzarella cheese) and a 12″ plain New York pizza ($8.99) and I gotta tell you that both were delicious. For our purposes- that Chicago pizza was amazing-delicious. Jeff Eats also did a meatball sub ($7.99) and a sausage & peppers sub ($7.99)- like the pizzas, delicious.

As I mentioned 4 1/2 seconds ago, Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria is basically a take-out joint—so if you don’t live or work in the area, have someplace where you can eat its stuff- before it gets cold.

No fooling around here, Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria is an absolutely dynamite takeout— with that Chicago pizza-alone being worth a car-trip.

Check Manhattan’s menu at www.mcrealpizza.com for menu/prices.

Manhattan and Chicago Pizzeria is open Monday-Thursday 11am-10pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-midnight, Sunday 11am-9pm.

Finally, if any of you are wondering where Jeff Eats “ate” his food since he neither lives or works in the area…

What happens in Pinecrest stays in Pinecrest!

* New York Comedy Night presents Esther Ku.

Right up front, comedian Esther Ku isn’t for everyone!

That said, if you can handle seeing one of America’s funniest, raunchiest (and I do mean raunchy), wittiest comedians currently working the comedy club/event circuit- you go see Esther Ku! Trust Jeff Eats when I tell you, Ku is so off the chart, that she would- even have made the late great legendary comedian Annabelle Salzman (better known as Belle Barth) blush!

Like I just said, not for everyone, but I’m telling you this KU is something else!

The Skinny:

New York Comedy Night presents Esther Ku
Thursday, April 7, 2016 (8pm)
Boca Black Box
8221 Glades Road, Boca Raton, Florida 33434
Box Office: (561) 483-9036
Tickets: bocablackbox.com goldstar.com (discount tickets)

from bocablackbox.com

Call it a Ku-d’état: Esther Ku has gone from growing up the daughter of Christian missionaries to ruling the stand-up circuit as one of the raunchiest, wittiest comics working today. A finalist on the sixth season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Ku has an edgy, explicit style that is often compared to Sarah Silverman. But as she’s proven on MTV’s Girl Code and Wild ‘N Out — and on Howard Stern and Opie and Anthony — she has a sharp comedic sensibility that’s entirely her own. Experience it yourself when Ku headlines NY Comedy Night at Boca Black Box.

$2.50 Walmart Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Rotisserie Chickens

Posted on April 2nd, 2016 · American Deals Fast Food · 14 Comments »

* $2.50 Walmart Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Chickens.

Way-back on February 11, 2016 Jeff Eats told you guys about-how delicious Walmart’s Rotisserie Chickens were. That tale is reprinted down-below!

Long story short, since that tale appeared, I have literally been telling anyone and everyone who would listen about these chickens.

Anyway, a few days ago a Walmart cashier (Linton Boulevard & Military Trail- Delray Beach store) told me that every day at 8pm the $4.99 rotisserie chickens are marked down to $2.50 a piece. When those chickens are sold, the next freshly made batch are priced at the “regular” $4.99 price. Just so you know, last night at 8:02pm Jeff Eats purchased 4- Walmart lemon paper rotisserie chickens and the cashier charged me 10 bucks- so I know the lady (cashier) spoke the truth…interestingly, nowhere in the store is this “markdown” advertised in print, this is simply a “word of mouth” situation! The one caveat to the $2.50 “tale”- Jeff Eats isnt sure if this markdown is a company-wide policy or just limited to the store I mentioned- the bet here, it’s in all-stores, but like I just said, I’m not sure!

Let’s close this one out by telling you that Walmart’s lemon pepper and tradional rotisserie chickens are dynamite!

As for the $2.50 “tip”- don’t say that Jeff Eats never gave you nothing!

* Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Rotisserie Chickens.

Got a real simple story to tell you guys…

For years, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy has been telling me that Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotisserie Chickens were sensationally delicious- and for years Jeff Eats has paid his very dear friend Roy no mind!- That is until yesterday at 3:46pm when Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats just happened to notice a 7 person line waiting at the deli-counter in the Walmart located on Military Road & Linton Avenue in Delray Beach for Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens which were coming-off 2- huge rotisserie grills. To make a long story short, in the span of 4 minutes Jeff Eats counted 12 1 lb. 13 oz. $4.99 birds being “snatched up” -with two (1 Lemon, 1 Traditional) of them finding their way into Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ shopping cart!

Let me wrap this one up for you guys, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy was absolutely right Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens were sensationally delicious. For you guys “into” Costco, Publix, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Boston Market trust Jeff Eats when I tell you that “their” rotisserie chickens are no match for Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens. Now you guys and Jeff Eats both know that “taste” is a subjective thing- what you like -I may hate and vice versa, so do what you’d like with the above Walmart Chicken Information!-and those of you with any sense of good taste can thank Jeff Eats later!
