Got a real good full service table/booth/counter seating “mom & pop” diner for you guys…Rocky’s Philly Cheeseteaks and Hoagies in Newport Richey. For what it’s worth, the joint’s name is a bit deceiving- in that Rocky’s menu has a load of other stuff like burgers and wings that have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with cheesesteaks or hoagies!

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats recently did lunch and I gotta tell you- Rocky’s killed it! The food was absolute dynamite! I do have one big problem with Rocky’s- that being, that it’s way too far from Jeff Eats’ Boca Raton abode for me to be a real steady customer- c’est la vie!

Rocky’s Philly Cheesesteaks and Hoagies is open Monday-Saturday 11am-9pm, closed Sunday.

Real simple tale to tell you guys, last week Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats attended a private party for 250 people in Parkland…the host & hostess “had” CACHET a 4-piece band that absolutely blew the crowd away! No bs here- this band played some of the best 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s 90’s and Top 40 covers that we’ve heard in a very-very long time!

How it happened, I don’t know- but until last week, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats had never seen CACHET in action- although the South Florida based band has been around for something like 20 years and has literally played every country club, bar, restaurant, casino, fair, festival, catering hall, in Florida! Like I just said, can’t figure out for the life of me, how Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats missed them!

With that in mind, even though “they”” aren’t your-so called gourmet-donuts…Walmart’s Glazed Donuts at $3.98 for a baker’s dozen are welcome in Jeff Eats’ kitchen -anytime day or night!

Trust me on this one, at roughly 30 cents a piece this is “good stuff.”
