Ten Simple Ways to Score Free Food From Your Favorite Restaurants

* Ten Simple Ways to Score Free Food From Your Favorite Restaurants.

Just in case you didn’t know…

________
Ten Simple Ways to Score Free Food From Your Favorite Restaurants
June 27, 2017 resourcefinder.info Staff

Everyone loves getting free things. Unfortunately, sometimes the old adage that nothing in life is for free often seems to be true. However, one area where it’s not true is when it comes to food as all of the following ways can allow you to score some free or heavily discounted grub.

1. Sign Up for Restaurant Newsletters and Alerts

Numerous restaurants and fast food chains offer special incentives to people who sign up to receive emails from the company. Although these are usually one-time deals, many companies also offer special deals and discounts to their newsletter subscribers as a way to ensure that you continue to receive and read their emails.

2. Download Restaurants Apps for the Latest Deals and Offers

The same way as many restaurants offer special deals for signing up with their newsletter, many larger chain restaurants also offer the same type of incentives to people who download their app. In most cases you’ll receive freebies and discounts just for signing up, while you’ll also receive alerts about any special offers to ensure the savings keep on coming.

3. Sign Up for Loyalty Programs to Earn Free Rewards

Loyalty programs are a growing trend in the restaurant industry, which gives companies a way to reward repeat customers. Some restaurants use basic stamp cards that reward you with a free meal after the purchase of a specified number, while others provide coupons and discounts after you spend a certain amount of money. Either way, these are great ways to score some free food at your favorite restaurant, which makes them well worth signing up for. Even eating at the same place a few times a year could be enough to see you earn free rewards.

4. Like and Follow Your Favorite Restaurants on Social Media

Social media is incredibly important in helping brands stay connected and engage with their customers. Although some restaurants primarily use Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms to promote their daily specials, you will also find many restaurants that hold giveaways and special competitions that reward those who like and share their posts. Should you happen to win one of these competitions, you might just be rewarded with a free meal or two.

5. Find Restaurants Offering Free Food on Your Birthday

This one is simple. Numerous establishments like to reward their customers by offering them free food on their birthday. All you need to do is find out which restaurants in your area offer this type of deal and then wait for your next birthday to roll around.

6. Buy Discounted Gift Certificate Vouchers Online

Another way to score yourself some free food is to buy gift certificates online. Sites like Groupon and Restaurant.com allow you to buy restaurant gift certificates at highly discounted rates. With this method, you could easily end up with $50 worth of food for less than half that price.

7. Pay Attention to Your Receipts

Restaurants are always trying to get customer feedback in order to improve their food and service and one of the most common ways they do so is through online questionnaires. Some establishments will occasionally include info on customers’ receipts asking them to fill out a short online survey and most offer special discounts or freebies as enticement. This means it could pay to pay attention to those receipts.

8. Fill Out Online Surveys to Earn Restaurant Gift Certificates

Not necessarily the quickest way to earn free food, but nonetheless, there are numerous online survey sites that pay participants in restaurant gift cards. Although you’ll usually need to fill out a number of surveys to get rewarded, the surveys are usually incredibly simple and you can complete them during commercial breaks.

9. Be on the Lookout for Senior and Student Discounts

If you happen to be a student or a senior citizen, it is worth asking every restaurant you go to whether they offer special discounts. Many places offer 5 to 10% discounts for customers over a certain age or those with a valid student ID, so it’s well worth asking.

10. Become a Secret Diner

Similar to becoming a mystery or secret shopper, there are a number of websites offering work as a secret diner. All you need to do is sign up, claim assignments and then fill out a detailed questionnaire about your dining experience. Although you’ll need to pay for your meal out of pocket, the rewards you can earn in return will more than pay for your meal.

***** Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, 2146 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida 33431, (561) 923-9353

Way-back on July 3, 2014 Jeff Eats did a story (reprinted down below) about California based “make your own” pizza chain Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza-and its plans to enter the Florida market…

Long story short, Blaze currently has something like 60 locations nationwide which include 1-in Boca Raton, 1-in Fort Lauderdale. 1-in Gainesville, 1-in Sarasota…locations in Davie, Orlando, Tallahassee, Jacksonville are under construction.

Yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats gave Blaze’s Boca Raton joint which opened a couple of weeks ago- a shot and I gotta tell you that we were impressed! By the way, the joint has both inside and outdoor patio seating- so you guys with dogs…

Now, nothing for nothing, Henry Ford invented this assembly-line “thing” a hundred years ago, or at least I think he did…and Subway and Chipotle have it down to a science…that said- dough, pick your sauce, pick your toppings- into a stone hearth oven for 3 minutes- pay $5-$10- 11″ pizza delivered to your table!

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats did a Simple Pie (mozzarella, parmesan, red sauce) and a Meat Eater (pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, red sauce) and like I just said, very impressed. Delicious crust, nice sweet sauce- and it didn’t taste like “fast food”…as good- as most of the full service coal-oven and wood fired pizza joints down here-that bang you for a whole lot more money!

For sure, Blaze has the obligatory salads- but the real game here is pizza.

Trust Jeff Eats, you won’t be disappointed!

You can check the Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza story/menu/locations/info out at blazepizza.com.

Blaze Fast- Fire’d Pizza is open 7 days a week 11am-10pm

One final note, not to sound like a college professor or nothing- but if you check, Jeff Eats has a couple of stories about the “make your own” pizza business- hopefully this “pizza segment” doesn’t mimic the self-serve yogurt craze of just a few short years ago…a word to the wise to potential franchisees and others- THERE ARE ONLY JUST SO MANY OF THESE TYPE JOINTS THAT ANY ONE GIVEN MARKET CAN COMFORTABLY HANDLE!

_____
July 3, 2014
Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza.

Way back on December 29, 2011 Jeff Eats did a story on-the make your own fast food pizza business. If you like, you can read that story, if not, not!

Anyway,

In recent years, a number of “make your own pizza” joints have opened in the United States…you can do the research-there are a ton of franchise operations peddling the concept…right off the top of my head, Uncle Maddio’s, Top That! Pizza, Your Pie, Pie-Ology, Pie-Lingual, MOD Pizza, Pie Five Pizza–if Jeff Eats “gave” it some thought, I’m sure I could up with other-names.

Real simple concept,

You pick your dough, you pick your sauce, you pick your cheese, you pick your toppings…the pizza is “assembled” in front of you at the counter, then cooked and delivered to your table. No brain cancer surgery here, you’ve seen the “assembly line” formula used on subs, yogurt, soft serve, burgers, hot dogs-before.

Just wanted to let you guys know -that Lebron James just invested in a Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza franchise that plans on opening 10 Florida stores…not sure of exact locations, but at least one of these-make your own pizza joints will be in Boca Raton -and plans to be open sometime within the next 6 months. Really know very little about Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza except that the parent comes out of California and that it currently has something like 25 locations in the western part of the United States with a heavy presence in California.

Can’t resist…I guess that all of that Heat money is burning a hole in Lebron’s pocket.

So,

Let’s keep an eye out for Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza…and see if Lebron knows how to play in the fast food make your own pizza league.

Dixie Belles Cafe (Orlando)

***** Dixie Belles Cafe, 7125 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32809, (407) 812-7012.

Got a real good “mom & pop” breakfast/lunch diner for you guys to check-out, Dixie Belles Cafe in Orlando.

Real simple concept working here, inside table/booth/counter seating, handful of outside tables, menu loaded with breakfast/lunch stuff, open Monday-Friday 6am-2pm, Saturday-Sunday 6:30am-1:30am.

You regular Jeff Eats’ readers should know by now- that Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats are huge fans of “mom & pop” diners. Trust me when I tell you that “America Runs On Mom & Pop Diners”- your favorite joint maybe called Joe’s Diner, or Lou’s Diner, or Tom Sawyer’s, or Ronnie’s Breakfast Lunch, or- Dixie Belles Cafe…but unless you’ve been living under a rock somewhere- mom & pop diners are joints where you get loads of reasonably priced no frills- no drama delicious food, bottomless cups of coffee, waiters/waitresses/and owners who work their tails-off taking care of business, where you go to relax- put co-workers, bosses and pain in the ass neighbors on hold, unwind and take a deep breath and in Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ case- discuss family business with our family!

Enough philosophizing…

Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats did a recent late breakfast/lunch at Dixie Belle’s Cafe and all four of us really enjoyed the joint. For the curious, the family business discussed included new car lease, health insurance policies, upcoming Labor Day trip to New York City and a Delray Beach apartment lease!

You can check Dixie Belles’ menu/info out at dixiebellescafe.com.

One last thought, that sweet potato muffin at the top of this tale- is off the chart shout out delicious!

Got a terrific— “New York Kosher Style Deli” for you…NY’s Big Apple Deli in North Miami Beach.

You can check menu/prices at www.nysbigappledeli.com.

Two recent lunch outings had me “sampling” pastrami/corned beef/brisket/turkey…some of the best stuff I’ve had down here in sunny South Florida. Also gave the joint’s chicken salad and chopped liver a shot…once again, real good stuff. I also did 2-soups, chicken matzoh ball soup and mushroom barley—both were homeruns.

Let me sum NY’s Big Apple Deli up in a nutshell…this is one of the best New York Kosher Style Delis in South Florida.

NY’s Big Apple Deli is open Monday-Thursday 8am-7pm and Friday-Sunday 7am-3pm.

Christopher Columbus Statue Controversy

Posted on August 22nd, 2017 · Music/Events/Other · 20 Comments »

* Christopher Columbus Statue Contriversy.

Jeff Eats is “reading & hearing” that a number of American cities are considering “removing” their respective Christopher Columbus’ statues because of the oppression they represent to native Americans!

Just a gut call here, but Jeff Eats is thinking that no statue- means no Columbus Day Holiday- which means no day off for school teachers etc.- so Jeff Eats says the statues stay!
