Yesterday afternoon- Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats were up-in Daytona Beach and came across Mr. Dunderbak’s- the best way to describe the joint, a Bavarian-German themed Cracker Barrel Old Country Store- all kinds of beers/packaged food and assorted souvenirs-and other Bavarian-German crap that I guarantee- you don’t need- combined with a breakfast/lunch/dinner-table service Bavarian-German restaurant that serves-reasonably priced delicious food.

Magic & Comedy with Kevin Lee
If ever there was a comedian/ magician to be seen, it is Kevin Lee. Kevin’s unique combination of comedy, magic and juggling leaves audiences both in awe and in stitches. Lee, has appeared on all of the national television stations on shows such as “Showtime at the Apollo”, HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam”, and Jamie Foxx’s “Uptown Comedy Club”, to name a few. Lee was also voted “Washington DC’s Funniest Comedian” by Washingtonian Magazine.
Audiences are wowed by Kevin’s amazing juggling, fire and sword-swallowing comedy.
Kevin’s stage career began at The Comedy Cafe in Washington DC where he placed first in the very first comedy competition he ever entered. After a quick stint as a Street Entertainer in DC, Lee moved to Venice Beach, CA, the Mecca of street performers. It was there that Kevin honed his craft, building his repertoire of comedy, magic and juggling to audiences of all ages and walks of life. While in California, Lee became a regular at the world’s famous Comedy Store.
Lee has also been seen on five seasons of BET’s “Comic View” and his distinctive skills have allowed him to share the stage with legends such as Gladys Knight, Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, Whitney Houston, Chris Tucker and Sinbad. He performed for the troops in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm and continues to entertain military bases around the world today, including Korea, Germany, Italy and Japan. Wynton Marsalis featured Lee in his “The Magic Hour Tour” which sold out from New York to Los Angeles in 2004. Lee, a high-energy, one-of-a-kind performer has brought audiences to their feet worldwide. A rare and true talent, Kevin Lee is not to be missed.

Wing Loon is a Chinese takeout/delivery joint that you guys should know about!. A recent outing had Jeff Eats trying- wonton soup, egg rolls, pan fried dumplings, bbq ribs, roast pork fried rice, honey garlic chicken, shrimp with black bean sauce, pepper steak—and I’m telling you guys everything was right on the money good!
Wing Loon has both walkup & drive thru service- the joint also has a small covered outdoor patio with a handful of tables- for you guys who want to eat “there.”
The joint is open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 3pm-10pm… closed on Monday.

With the caveat being- what Jeff Eats might like, you might hate and vice versa…
A couple of weeks ago- Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and another couple ate dinner at Trattoria Nonna (which opened something like 7-months ago) in Boca Raton and we all agreed that this Italian joint had a very stylish modern-upscale “look”- that its food was lousy, that its service was lousy, that its noise level was beyond absurd!
For you guys who like “color”- ordered dishes included veal parmigiana, margherita pizza, chicken scarpiello, baked clams oreganata, calamaria fritti and vitello alla marsala- and I’m telling you that not one dish was even half way decent. The sauces were as bland as could be and the veal had the consistency of shoe leather! Service- virtually non-existent with some high school kid playing waitress. Prices- a drop on the high side- but nothing to get hysterical about! And finally to put icing on the cake- a noise level- loud beyond belief, helped in part- by a guy running around from table to table playing an accordion!
