Got a real good Italian joint that you guys gotta checkout- Mr. D’s Pizza in Plantation.
Real simple tale…hole in the wall joint that makes off the chart reasonably priced delicious pizza/ hot & cold subs/ salads/ pastas and entrees, basically a takeout with 4 counter seats, open Monday-Thursday 10am-10pm/ Friday-Saturday 10am-11pm/ Sunday noon-9pm.
Yesterday afternoon, Jeff Eats “discovered” Mr. D’s Pizza and I’m telling you guys that this joint’s food is definitely the real deal!
If you’re a fancy schmancy kinda-person, Mr. D’s Pizza ain’t gonna work for you! Like I said 2 seconds ago, hole in the wall takeout joint- counter seating for 4!
Let me wrap-up Mr. D’s Pizza by saying- if this joint was closer to our- Boca Raton abode, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats would be real steady customers!

Jeff Eats recently “discovered” an absolutely amazing “mom & pop” fish joint…Fish Shack in Pompano Beach.
Wanna talk hole-in-the-wall? The joint is located in a miniscule bombed-out strip center…maybe table seating for 20 and 5 at the bar. Fish Shack’s menu is loaded with fish-stuff…that said, it has hamburgers, chicken breast sandwiches, wraps, salads and chicken wings for the non-fish eaters that may-be in your party. Outrageously delicious reasonably priced…blackened red snapper–grilled yellow fin tuna–conch fritters–fried oysters–cheeseburger–shrimp burger.
Every so often Jeff Eats comes across an absolute HOMERUN…Fish Shack is a GRAND SLAM!
Like I said a few seconds ago…hole in the wall, fabulous food.
I highly recommend that you try Fish Shack. The bet here–you won’t be disappointed.
Fish Shack is open Monday-Saturday 11am-9pm, closed on Sunday.

Got a real good “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joint for you guys to check-out, Little Italian Pizza in Pompano Beach.
Real simple tale to tell- handful of tables, full boat menu of reasonably priced off the chart delicious pizzas/ pastas/ hot & cold subs/ salads/ entrees/ other stuff, open Monday-Saturday 11am-10pm/Sunday 4pm-10pm.
Last night Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Little Italian Pizza and I gotta tell you guys- the joint’s food absolutely killed!
Let me wrap this tale up by saying- that I know my “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joints and I’m telling you guys that Little Italian Pizza is an absolute must try! And- if you can keep a secret, the joint’s New York Style Pizza with its thin crisp crust, sweet sauce and nice oil drip- alone is worth the price of admission!
