A favorite on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show. He has appeared on Late Night with Conan Obrien, Comedy Central, CBS, ABC, FOX, MTV and CMT. Greg Hahn has parlayed his absurdly energetic, all out style of physical humor, one liners and crowd work into a performance of immediate pandemonium and continuous laughs. His unique stylings have led to numerous television, corporate and theater appearances throughout the US and Canada. Greg was raised in South Florida where in high school he amused the Catholic nuns by poking holes in his pockets enabling pencils to shoot out of his pant leg. As a college basketball player, his enjoyment of half court shots earned him a sweet spot on the bench.As a Captain in the Marines Corps, Greg kept his men highly motivated and could not overemphasize that camouflage is continuous. While a buyer for Lockheed Corporation, he thought why make $200 a day, when I can be a comedian and make that in a week .After several serious jobs where he refused to be serious, Greg turned pro as a stand up comedian and landed a job as emcee for a theme park lumberjack show. This supplied him with four audiences a day, intoxicated ax swinging lumberjacks, and a log rolling dog. Soon afterwards, he worked as stuntman in the Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show at Universal Studios. For $20 an hour, I would run out and get hit in the head with a stick, perfect! He continually honed his style of comedy then headed to New York City. While in New York, Greg developed into a touring headliner and costarred in the independent film Tomorrow Night which premiered at theSundance Film Festival. Then, after successful shows at the Montreal and Chicago Comedy Festivals, Greg enjoyed television appearances on Late Night with Conan OBrien (NBC), Premium Blend (Comedy Central), Make Me Laugh (5 episodes, Comedy Central), Louis CKs Pulp Comics (Comedy Central), 30 Seconds to Fame (Fox), Cedric the Entertainer Presents (Fox) and Star Search (CBS). When appearing on Star Search, Greg was spotted by Tom Griswold of the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show. Greg has since established himself as a favorite guest on the show and starred on the Bob @ Tom Comedy Central Special. He also headlines the Friends of The Bob @ Tom Theater Tour, which included a stop at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. A return appearance to the Montreal Comedy Festival along with the Halifax Comedy Festival and wild appearances on Country Music Televisions Comedy Stage, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen and running for president on TOSH.O (Comedy Central) have added to Gregs popularity. Greg now lives in Los Angeles where he continues to infiltrate the TV and movie biz with the intention of buying a llama farm and a kitchen fish tank.

Got an absolutely terrific New York Kosher Style Deli for you guys to check-out, Zinger’s Deli in Boca Raton.9

Now, follow the story- for the past 7 1/2 years, Jeff Eats has been raving about and telling you guys as to how good- full service Zinger’s Delicatessen, 7132 Beracasa Way, Boca Raton, Florida 33433, (561) 826-7323 was/is- as a matter of fact, (imho) Zinger’s Delicatessen has to be rated as one of the best (if not-the best) New York Kosher Style Delis in the State of Florida! Anyway, something like 5 months ago- Zinger’s Delicatessen’s owners, Gary and Joe- opened Zinger’s Deli a fast food/ order-pickup at counter/ soup, salad, sandwich, other stuff menu/ inside table seating- New York Kosher Style Deli on State Road 7 about a half mile from their original-Zinger’s Delicatessen.

Anyway, yesterday afternoon- Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats ate lunch at Zinger’s Deli and I’m telling you guys that the joint’s food was off the chart dynamite delicious!

Let me wrap Zinger’s Deli up by saying- if you’re looking for outrageously delicious reasonably priced New York Kosher Style Deli Food in a fast food setting- you now know where it’s being served.

A Swiss man, on holiday in Dublin, needed directions. He was standing outside Davy Byrne’s pub when he saw two youths walking by so he stopped and asked them, “Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?”

The two lads looked at each other blankly and then stared back at him.

“Excusez-moi, parlez vous Français ?'” he tries.

The two continue to stare.

“Parlare Italiano?” Still absolutely no response from the two lads.

“Hablan ustedes Espanol?” The Dublin lads remain totally silent.

The Swiss guy walks off, disappointed. One of the boys turned to the second and said, “Y’know, maybe we should learn a foreign language!”

“Why?” says the other youth, “That guy knew four languages, and look what good it did him.”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!…

Before Jeff Eats tells his story, I just wanted you guys to know that Shindig had been previously “reviewed” on 8/19/11…today’s review” came about in part as a result of reader Mike N’s suggestion to “re-test” the joint with a claim that Jeff Eats’ August, 2011 outing -and I quote-“Must have been an off night because I have been eating there for years and the food is always terrific.”

With the above in mind, here’s a new-review…

Gonna assume that you guys know what an Irish Pub “looks” like…you know-dark woods, dim lighting, tables, booths, big bar, all types of beer, Irish bands, Shepherd’s Pie, corned beef & cabbage. When you check shindigpub.com for menu/prices you’ll also find a ton of “decor” pictures.

The other night Jeff Eats “did” Shindig Irish Restaurant & Pub and I gotta tell you-I loved the joint. In addition to the requisite Irish-decor, Shindig served killer food. Now this is just an observation, but my past dealings with South Florida-Irish pub joints-have on the whole not been culinary-thrill-rides…nothing terrible, but average stuff at best.

Anyway,

Jeff Eats’ party of 4- “tried” bacon cheeseburger ($10.99), Shepherd’s Pie ($14.99), Bangers & Mash ($12.99), Fish & Chips ($14.99), baby back ribs ($4.99) and I gotta tell you everything was delicious. No fooling here, definitely one of the best-Irish-pub meals I’ve had down here in sunny South Florida.

Before I close this one out, I just wanted to mention that Shindig has all kinds of food and drink “specials”- like $5 burgers on Mondays. The full list of “specials” is listed under EVENTS on shindigpub.com.

One- almost final thought, I’m just thinking…since Jeff Eats has only “done” Shindig twice-with different results-who’s to say which review is more accurate? To that end, I’ve republished below- the original review of 8/19/11 so I’m – like FOX NEWS: FAIR AND BALANCED!!

Got a good Irish pub for you…Shindig Irish Restaurant & Pub in Port St. Lucie.

A recent dinner had me “trying”…braised short rib sliders, bacon cheeseburger, shepherd’s pie, fish & chips, corned beef & cabbage. Nothing to get hysterical about “foodwise” here…but the stuff is decent enough. Do like-I did…hit this joint on either a Friday or Saturday night when it features live bands. For “small” money (the most expensive item on the menu is the flat iron steak-$21.99), you’ll eat and drink good and have a blast listening to some of the better rock bands in the area.
