Got an absolutely terrific fast food hot dog-burger joint for you guys- Joe’s Famous Hot Dogs-Burgers & More in Florida City. Real simple concept at work here, order/pickup at “food truck” and eat in your car or eat “there” at a handful of picnic benches and umbrella-tables!

Long story short, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats recently did lunch at Joe’s and I gotta tell you that the joint’s barbecue bacon cheeseburger, pulled pork sandwich, grilled hot dog and French fries absolutely killed!

Just between you guys and Jeff Eats, it’s joints like Joe’s Famous Hot Dogs-Burgers & More that make being Jeff Eats “fun”…I find them, I eat them and then I tell you guys about them! Hopefully, your food sensibilities “play” on the same page as mine-do, because Joe’s is off the chart perfect- reasonably priced delicious food in a a no-frills setting!

It all begins at a deli in Miami in 1977, where 46-year-old Jackie spots twenty-something Ginger (played by Sheba). The trouble is, Jackie is also wooing Trixie, a gorgeous young Latina, and Rosa, a senior citizen with attitude, a fact that sends Ginger into romantic distress. ***** Banquet Pot Pies.

The other day while “shopping” in a Walmart Super Store in Delray Beach- Jeff Eats came across Banquet Pot Pies in the frozen food aisle! Next thing I knew, I had 10 of the 7oz- 84 cent suckers in my cart (4 turkey, 4 chicken, 2 sausage & gravy)…long story short, Jeff Eats tried all 3 pies- (all you gotta do is microwave for 5 minutes) and I have to tell you that I loved them!

If you check Banquet’s website banquet.com- it lists all of the 7oz pot pies that it makes and where you can buy them! Like I said 2- seconds ago, I got mine in Walmart and paid 84-cents a piece. A cursory look at Banquet’s website indicates that Publix and Walgreens also carry the pot pies!

For you guys now scratching your heads questioning Jeff Eats’ sanity for buying this “stuff” at Walmart-no less…all I can tell you, is – don’t knock them until you’ve at least tried them for yourself!

One note of caution, Jeff Eats also tried Banquet’s 8-cheeseburger sliders (Walmart-$2.49) and the freaking things tasted like absolute crap!

* Burger King Adds Hot Dogs To Its Menu.

Just in case you missed yesterday’s news, Burger King announced that starting February 23, 2016 all of its US restaurants will be offering a $1.99 100% All Beef Flamed Broiled (Oscar Mayer brand) Hot Dog and a $2.29 100% All Beef Flamed Broiled (Oscar Mayer brand) Chili-Cheese Hot Dog.

Just between you guys and Jeff Eats, we’ll have to wait and “taste” the dogs before passing judgment on the new menu items. All I know is that when I’m thinking “hot dogs” the name Oscar Mayer never really enters my equation…but like I just said, we’ll have to taste the dogs before passing judgment. Two other quick thoughts, at least Burger King had the good sense to broiled the dogs and not boil them – and starting February 23, 2016 unless something goes very wrong, Burger King will instantly become the largest retailer of cooked hot dogs in the United States.

Jeff Eats will update this “tale” (pun intended) after I down some of the dogs!

* Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Rotisserie Chickens.

Got a real simple story to tell you guys…

For years, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy has been telling me that Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotisserie Chickens were sensationally delicious- and for years Jeff Eats has paid his very dear friend Roy no mind!- That is until yesterday at 3:46pm when Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats just happened to notice a 7 person line waiting at the deli-counter in the Walmart located on Military Road & Linton Avenue in Delray Beach for Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens which were coming-off 2- huge rotisserie grills. To make a long story short, in the span of 4 minutes Jeff Eats counted 12 1 lb. 13 oz. $4.99 birds being “snatched up” -with two (1 Lemon, 1 Traditional) of them finding their way into Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ shopping cart!

Let me wrap this one up for you guys, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy was absolutely right Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens were sensationally delicious. For you guys “into” Costco, Publix, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Boston Market trust Jeff Eats when I tell you that “their” rotisserie chickens are no match for Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens. Now you guys and Jeff Eats both know that “taste” is a subjective thing- what you like -I may hate and vice versa, so do what you’d like with the above Walmart Chicken Information!-and those of you with any sense of good taste can thank Jeff Eats later!
