Trust Jeff Eats when I tell you that I know my Grandma Pizzas- and that Vinny’s Grandma Pizza absolutely kills! I also know my “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joints- and I’m telling you guys, Vinny’s Pizza is right-up there with Florida’s best players!

***** Vinny’s Pizza, 6671 West Indiantown Road, Jupiter, Florida 33458, (561) 575-5445.

For our purposes we’re gonna call Vinny’s Pizza an “out of sight out of mind” mom & pop red sauce Italian joint…

Jeff Eats first told you guys about Vinny’s Pizza on November 3, 2010…truth be told, hadn’t been back “until” last night when Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats stopped in for a Grandma Pizza and an obscene amount of Coke and Diet Coke. By the way, I’m kinda thinking the sole reason for the long-absence, the freaking joint is 86 miles round-trip from Jeff Eats’ Boca Raton residence!

Long story short, absolute dynamite Grandma Pizza!

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats loved Vinny’s in 2010 and loved it again in 2016- with all things being equal, the next “love” is gonna be sometime in 2022! Hey, an 86 mile round-trip, ain’t exactly chopped liver either!

All kidding aside, trust Jeff Eats on this one, you gotta try Vinny’s Pizza, it’s that good!

***** Vinny’s Pizza, 6671 West Indiantown Road, Jupiter, Florida 33458, (561) 575-5445.

Got a real good-reasonably priced “mom & pop–red sauce” Italian joint for you…Vinny’s Pizza in Jupiter, Florida.

Vinny’s menu has all of the “expected stuff”…pizzas, pastas, calzones, hot & cold subs, meat/seafood/chicken dishes (dinners–include salad, pasta side, garlic knots).

A recent dinner outing had me doing…large 16” pizza ($12.20), penne alla vodka ($10.50), meat lasagna ($11.25), veal parmigiana ($14.50). Keeping in mind, that joints like Vinny’s aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel—I can, without hesitation tell you that-Vinny’s food was terrific. Definitey one of the best NYC styled pizzas that- I’ve had in a very long time. The pie was thin-crispy-with an amazingly-perfect sweet sauce. As for the penne, lasagna and veal parm—I know joints that get double the price and can’t hold a candle to Vinny’s food.

Vinny’s is a winner. This is NOT and I repeat NOT—some hack joint, just turning out passable food. Do have one huge problem with Vinny’s…it’s 86 miles (round-trip) from my house.

Vinny’s Pizza is open Monday-Thursday 11am-9pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday noon-9pm.

Smith goes to see his supervisor in the front office.

“Boss,” he says, “we’re doing some heavy house-cleaning at home tomorrow, and my wife needs me to help with the attic and the garage, moving and hauling stuff.”

“We’re short-handed, Smith,” the boss replies. “I can’t give you the day off.”

“Thanks, boss,” says Smith, “I knew I could count on you!”

Jackie Robinson Day- April 15, 2024

* Jackie Robinson Day- April 15, 2024.

And you guys thought – that paying your taxes was the only “terrific” thing to celebrate today!

From Wikipedia.com:

Jackie Robinson Day is a traditional event which occurs annually on April 15 in Major League Baseball (MLB), commemorating and honoring the day Jackie Robinson made his major league debut. Celebrated at MLB ballparks, on that one day, all players, coaches, and managers on both teams, and the umpires, wear Robinson’s uniform number, 42. April 15 was Opening Day in 1947, Robinson’s first season in the major leagues.
Initiated for the first time on April 15, 2004, the festivity is a result of Robinson’s memorable career, best known for becoming the first black major league baseball player of the modern era in 1947.[1][2] His debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers (today’s Los Angeles Dodgers) ended approximately 80 years of baseball segregation, also known as the baseball color line, or color barrier.[2] Robinson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.

You guys know that this food reviewing gig is purely a subjective call- you know, what I like, you may hate and vice versa…with that in mind, I am telling you guys, that King Palace Chinese Bar-B-Q Restaurant is one of the best Chinese joints in Florida!

North Miami isn’t exactly a hop, skip, and a jump away from Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ Boca Raton abode- so we don’t get down to King Palace as much as we would like!

Trust Jeff Eats on this one- This joint is an absolute must try!

Hallelujah!

Found a Chinese joint that both the Brooklyn Jewish American Chinese Circa 1952 and Real Chinese Food crowds will love…King Palace Chinese Bar-B-Q Restaurant in North Miami.

A recent outing of Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and two other couples “netted” us -egg rolls, pan fried dumplings, bbq roast pork, egg drop soup, wonton soup, sweet & sour pork, roast pork fried rice, Peking pork chops, bbq roast duck, seafood pan fried noodles, frog conjee, were all right on the money. Just so you know, that frog conjee “right on the money-call” wasn’t made by Jeff Eats who declined trying the dish-others at the table assured me that it was delicious and tasted just like chicken.

Let me wrap this up…everybody -is gonna find what to eat at King Palace.

King Palace Chinese Bar-B-Q Restaurant is real good.

The joint is open 7 days a week 11am-10pm.

From chrisruggierosings.com:

Chris Ruggiero takes his audiences on a journey through the golden age of rock and roll, breathing new life into the timeless music of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Chris has been described as an “old soul” at only 24 years old, whose approach to his concert appearances is more in line with that of a bygone era than it is the artists of his generation. Chris says, “I try to make every move and sing every song with a touch of class that reminds the audience of a time when entertainers put their heart and soul into their songs and delivering an exceptional concert was paramount.”
Chris first came to national attention when he performed in concert on one of PBS-TV’s coast-to-coast broadcast specials, which still airs to this day. Since then, Chris has been traveling around the country delivering his unique brand of vintage rock and roll and sharing his passion for the classics. He’s shared the stage with some of the most legendary artists in the history of rock and roll and been inspired to carry the torch. What Michael Bublé did for the swing music of the 40s and 50s, Chris Ruggiero does for the pop-rock standards of the 60s and 70s. If there’s any doubt that what he’s doing is resonating with audiences, his Facebook page reached a staggering 63 million people last year.
“When I’m on stage singing a classic love song and I look out into the audience and see that twinkle in their eyes, I know they’re thinking about a special time and place in their life – or maybe even their first kiss!” Chris says. “It’s magic.“ One of the most important things to Chris is his family, and he considers every audience for whom he performs his family by the end of each show. For Chris, entertaining is not a vocation, it’s a way of life. “Just give me a spotlight and a microphone and tell me what time I go on!”
