A journalist and a young actor were sitting in a bar atop a luxury apartment building, drinking heavily and making wagers. After 7–8 rounds of shots the journalist says to the young actor “let’s make this interesting” and walks to the window looking far above the city. The journalist continued, “if you jump from this window to the ground below, using my newspaper connections I will make you more famous than you could ever imagine”. The young man thought about it and replied that “it would be crazy to attempt such a feat and would mean certain death”. The journalist assured him that it was safe and could prove it by jumping himself. “Let’s see..” said the actor. So the journalist promptly lifted the bottom window frame and lept gracefully, almost floating out of the window down to the ground below miraculously completely unharmed. The young actor seeing movie deals and adoring fans convinces himself that there must be some trick maybe an air vent block air to cushion the blow so when the journalist returned the young man finally agreed. Counting to three the actor jumped, plummeting to the ground with an awful thud, instantly dying. The journalist returned to the bar where the bartender, while pouring a shot said “ you’re a real jerk when you’re drunk Superman”!

***** The Fresh Market- $2.99 per lb Beef Ribs.

Just a heads-up, yesterday, The Fresh Market, 5540 North Military Trail, Boca Raton, Florida 33496, (561) 994-2221) had Beef Ribs for $2.99 per lb.- Chef Jeff Eats was a buyer coating the ribs with Sweet Baby Ray’s Original Barbecue Sauce and gas bbq-grilling them at 350 degrees for 90 minutes…WALLA!

By the way, the jist of this tale- is not that Jeff Eats is some kind of a wizard-cook or something, but rather that the beef ribs were ONLY $2.99 a pound! Just between you guys and Jeff Eats, am I wrong or am I right, that today a 1 scoop ice cream cone costs more than 3 bucks?

Got a real good breakfast-lunch diner for you guys to check-out, Canopy Road Cafe in Jacksonville.

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Canopy Road Cafe and I gotta tell you – dynamite food/ super pleasant service! Inside table / counter/ booth seating, reasonably priced full boat all day breakfast/ salads/ burgers/ sandwiches/ desserts menu, open 7 days a week 6:30am – 2:15pm.

Just so you guys know, in addition to Jacksonville, Canopy Road Cafe has joints in Tampa/Tallahassee (4)/Sarasota/Lithia/Saint James Florida.

Simple tale to tell, last night Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Brother Jeff Eats, Sister-In-Law Jeff Eats and dear friends Ellen and Eric “discovered” Mia Rosebud and the joint’s food and service were right on the money! Inside table and booth seating/ covered outdoor patio table seating, eat-at full liquor bar, happy hour, reasonably priced full boat Italian/ steaks & chops/ dessert menu.

Just so you guys know, Mia Rosebud is owned and operated by Chicago’s iconic Rosebud Restaurant Group which currently has 9 full service Italian restaurants in Chicago! Mia Rosebud which opened three months ago in Boca Raton is the Group’s first non-Chicago location!

Let’s wrap-up Mia Rosebud by saying that, Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Brother Jeff Eats, Sister-In-Law Jeff Eats and our dear friends Ellen and Eric loved the food/ the service was spot on/ most of the food portions were large enough for 2-to-share/ nobody had to get a second job to pay the bill/ that you guys can check menu/prices/info at rosebudrestaurants.com and Mia Rosebud is open Sunday-Thursday 4pm-10pm/ Friday-Saturday 4pm-11pm.
