Got a real good Italian joint for you guys to checkout, D’Angelo’s in Palm Beach Gardens.

Real easy tale to tell, last night Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” D’Angelo’s and its food was right on the money! Table/ booth seating, reasonably priced appetizers/ soups/ salads/ heros/ pizzas/ pastas/ entrees/ desserts menu.

Let’s wrap D’Angelo’s up by saying, delicious food/ super pleasant service/ no frills dark wood decor/ reasonable prices make it an absolute must try!

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Subby’s and I gotta tell you, absolutely dynamite subs and salads! Order/pickup at counter, handful of inside and outside tables/ wall counter seating, reasonably priced chicken- steak- hot- cold subs/ salad menu, open Monday-Sunday 11am-9pm.

Now we all know that this food reviewing gig- is purely a subjective call- with that in mind, I am telling you guys that Subby’s stuff is off the chart delicious, that the joint is an absolute must try and that you can catch menu/prices/info at subbysubscom.

The guy who owns Bagel Twins is a smart guy.

A few years ago, when Bagel Twins was getting ready to open in a shopping center directly across the street from Poppie’s Restaurant & Delicatessen (see review-7/11/08) literally a Delray landmark… I remember commenting to a group of people that, Bagel Twins a bagel-deli joint would have no chance against Poppie’s and would die a fast death…Well low and behold, it’s now years later and Bagel Twins not only survived, but is one of the most popular bagel-deli joints in the area.

Since it opened, I have eaten at Bagel Twins at least 5 times…it does both breakfast and lunch. The joint does an enormous eat-in and take-out business. Its stuff is real good.

Just so you know, Bagel Twins is located in a shopping center which is right next to Delray Medical Center (Delray Hospital)…I got a sneaking suspicion that many of the doctors/ nurses/ workers employed by the hospital/or have offices in the shopping center and their patients are “supporting” Bagel Twins. I never figured, that crossing a little street named Military Trail (that’s what separates Bagel Twins and Poppies) was such a big deal, but I guess that it was/is.

Give Bagel Twins a try…the guy who owns it, makes some good stuff and is real smart.

Let me make this writeup as short as possible.

Tomasso’s is a pizza-subs takeout joint. It has been around since 1981. As you can see from its menu at www.tomassos-pizza.com it has all the stuff that you would expect from a neighborhood takeout…pizza, pastas, subs (you may know them as hoagies, grinders, po’ boys, oyster loaves, Italians), calzones, strombolis, veal-seafood-chicken-meat entrees, etc.

Tomasso’s food is very good. It is probably as good as your local favorite takeout, if not better…Because Tomasso’s is not “in my neighborhood” I haven’t gotten as much food from this joint as I would have liked. There is one other thing that separates Tomasso’s from the other area takeouts, namely its owners. Over the years, Tomasso’s has bent over backwards to help the local area public schools, teams and charities…this joint is always sponsering some type of fund raising event… the latest being its August 2nd “Pizzas For Pencils” which is raising money for after school supplies.

Very good food. Very community minded owners. Why wouldn’t “you” give them your business?

If you live in Tomasso’s area, this is an Italian takeout that deserves your business.

Got a real good Chinese joint for you guys to checkout, Bamboo Court Chinese Restaurant in Sebastian.

Real easy tale to tell- Yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Bamboo Court Chinese Restaurant and its food was right on the money! Order/pickup at counter, handful of tables, reasonably priced appetizers/ soups/ entrees/ combo plates/ lunch specials menu.

Just between you guys and me, I’ll bet you a buck, that you’ve been in a ton of fast-food Cantonese Chinese joints- that looked just like Bamboo Court Chinese Restaurant. And, I’ll also bet you another buck, that most of the time, the joints’ food was just-maybe-passable!

Anyway, trust old Jeff Eats on this one, this joint’s food was really good!

Let’s wrap-up Bamboo Court Chinese Restaurant by saying, if the joint was a whole lot closer to Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ Boca Raton abode- we would definitely be steady eat in-takeout customers!

Got a real good “mom & pop” breakfast/lunch joint for you guys to checkout, Sara’s Kitchen in Palm Beach Gardens.

Simple tale to tell, yesterday morning Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and our friends Andy and Beth/ Mark and Peggy “discovered” Sara’s Kitchen and I gotta tell you guys, delicious food and super pleasant/competent service. Inside table seating/ small handful of outdoor tables, reasonably priced full boat breakfast/lunch menus, no frills decor, open Monday-Friday 7:30am-2pm/ Saturday-Sunday 7am-2pm.

Let’s wrap-up Sara’s Kitchen by saying its reasonably priced food killed, its service was spot on, big portions, no fancy schmanzy decor- spells big time winner in Jeff Eats’ book!
