This show recreates the sound and vibe of a 1970’s Carole King concert experience following her legendary album, “Tapestry.” You will be transported back to the iconic image of her multi-million selling album of 1971.

Impeccable attention to detail is taken in recreating a respectful and accurate musical presentation of piano and vocals, just as they were. Suzanne’s performance will take you on a journey back to those great recordings. During the 70’s & 80’s, Carole played solo, with acoustic musicians, and a full band with horns during this period. This show is performed in any of those formats.

TAPESTRY not only presents the record-breaking, Grammy-winning album of the same name, but is a retrospective of the iconic songwriting team of Goffin and King, and her hits that continued into the 70’s. This prolific team wrote chart-topping hits for artists such as Aretha Franklin, Bobby Vee, The Beatles, James Taylor, the Drifters, Donny Osmond…and the list goes on.

Got a real good Italian ice/gelato/soft serve ice cream joint for you guys to checkout- Gio’s Italian Ice in Melbourne.

Simple tale to tell…yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Gio’s Italian Ice and I gotta tell you that- this joint’s stuff is off the hook delicious! Order/pickup at counter, handful of tables inside-outside, home-made Italian ices/home-made gelato/soft serve menu.

Trust Jeff Eats on this one, I know- my Italian ices/gelato/soft serve and I’m telling you guys that you’d be hard pressed to find better-in Florida!

Let me wrap Gio’s Italian Ice up by saying- that this joint is an absolute home-run. If you live, work or play anywhere near Gio’s Italian Ice- make it your business to give it a shot…you won’t be disappointed!

This is a real simple tale to tell…

If you want some of the most delicious New York Style pizza, hot/cold subs, stromboli- down here in sunny South Florida…get yourself over to Bambini’s Garden Pizzeria in Delray Beach.

Just so you know, the joint is owned by the same folks that own- The Boys Farmers Market in Delray Beach (see review 10/17/14) …Bambini’s is basically a takeout, but there is limited indoor/outdoor seating.

This past Sunday afternoon, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats had a bunch of friends over to our home in Boca Raton…to feed the hordes of people- we picked up from Bambini’s 2- 20″ cheese pizzas ($14.99 each), 1- 20″ meatball pizza ($16.99), 1-20″ white pizza ($17.99), 3- 10″ chicken parmesan subs ($7.99 each), 3- 10″ eggplant parmesan subs ($7.99 each), 4- 10″ sausage/peppers/onions subs ($7.99 each), 3- pepperoni Stromboli ($9.99 each) and I am telling you EVERYTHING was delicious.

No fooling here, Bambini’s stuff literally blew Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and our friends away.

For what it’s worth-Jeff Eats had been hearing about this joint for months- and this past Sunday was the day “I” decided to give it a shot. The pizza was as close to perfect as can be… thin crispy crust, sweet sauce- the subs’ fillings were dynamite/the semolina seeded bread was terrific, the prices- tons of food for cheap money!

No crapping you guys, I couldn’t have picked a better joint for this particular home-event!

Bambini’s Garden Pizzeria is an absolute must try.

To make sure we are straight on the facts… basically a takeout, limited menu (stromboli, subs, wraps, salads, pizzas)- and if you are wondering, the joint “does pizza by the slice.”

Bambini’s website-bambinisgardenpizza.com- is kinda useless, no menu info provided.

Bambini’s Garden Pizzeria is open Monday-Thursday & Saturday 10:30am-9pm, Sunday 10:30am-7pm.

My 98 year old Aunt Alva is in a nursing home. I went to vist her the other day and was stopped by various men in dark glasses and searched. “What’s going on?” I asked. “The President is visiting” one said. I went into the day-room and there was the President and he was talking to my Aunt Alva! Amazing! As I approached, I saw her looking at him and she was clearly not understanding a word he was saying. He pickd up on this and said “You don’t know who I am do you?” Aunt Alva looked him up and down for a few seconds then repied “No, but if you ask one of the nurses she’ll tell you!”

Blood, Sweat & Tears is not the first band to ever use a horn section, but they are the first to fuse it with rock, jazz, and some blues thrown in for good measure. From the first ensemble in the late sixties practicing in a loft on Bleeker Street in New York’s Greenwich Village and having crowds clapping on the street below between songs, founding member and drummer Bobby Colomby knew they were on the right course. Since then, the band has never stopped touring for over 50 years.

Got an absolutely killer Italian joint for you guys to check-out, Conte’s Pizza in Delray Beach.

Basically a takeout operation, pizza/ calzone/ stromboli/ wings/ salads/ hot & cold subs/ garlic knots menu, order/pickup at counter, handful of inside and outside tables.

Last night, gave Conte’s a shot picking-up food for myself and five poker buddies- and I’m telling you guys that its stuff was absolutely off the chart- delicious!

Forgetting that Jeff Eats footed the bill (and that free food always tastes good)- my friends all in their late sixties- (3 originally from The Bronx and 2 originally from Brooklyn) agreed that Conte’s pizza, calzone and garlic knots were right up there with the best stuff we grew up on- before we-became Floridians!

Trust Jeff Eats when I tell you guys- that you definitely want to give Conte’s Pizza a shot!

Got a real good sports bar for you guys to checkout- The Doghouse Grille in Jupiter.

Real simple concept working here- inside table/booth- outdoor table seating, handful of flat screen TVs, beer/wine bar, appetizers/ salads/ soups/ mini hot dogs with tons of toppings/ burgers/ sandwiches/ wraps, open 7 days a week 11am-11pm.

Last night, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” The Doghouse Grille (which advertises itself as- The Home Of The Mini Hot Dog) and I gotta tell you- we really enjoyed the joint!

Following the old French adage- “When in Rome do as the Romans do”…we did 6 mini hot dogs and threw in orders of tater tots and french fries for good measure! Trust me when I tell you, real good stuff!

For you guys wondering as to exactly how-big the mini hot dogs were/are? Well wonder no more- and I assure you that the pictured hand does-not belong to the Jolly Green Giant!

Like I said 3 seconds ago, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats did 6 mini hot dogs, tater tots and french fries. The promise here, the next time we eat at The Doghouse Grille- we’ll definitely make it our business to try some of the delicious looking – burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps which other patrons😜 were dining on- and update this tale for you guys!
