Couple Gets Married in Garden Section of The Home Depot

Of all the places people choose to tie the knot, one couple in Arizona decided to have their ceremony right where they work — Home Depot.

The ceremony took place in the garden section of the store, so talk about the perfect backdrop. KPHO was there to witness Marty Tetrault and Kelly Olsen’s vows:

“In copper pipes and elbows,” said Marty Tetrault.

“And in lumber and in concrete,” replied Kelly Olsen.

To top it off, the bride’s bouquet was made out of the tools she works with every day.

“She works in the plumbing department. Her bouquet was made of plumbing supplies. That’s one way to save money on your nuptials,” said HLN host Robin Meade.

Marty works in the lumber and building department and says they don’t get to see each other as often as one might think.

“There are a couple departments within the store here that separate us, so we don’t really get to share a lot of time together within the store.”

All of the people in the wedding party were co-workers who the couple considers family.

Mulberry 1965 is a food truck…that makes absolutely dynamite Neapolitan wood fired brick oven pizza that run 9-12 bucks a piece.

From what Jeff Eats under stands- Mulberry 1965 “camps” at 56 Northwest 59th Street, Miami 7 days a week- 11am-3pm… after 3pm the truck can be found at various locations/parties/events throughout South Florida.

Real simple menu- something like 10 different pizzas, handful of toppings and a bunch of specials on the weekend.

The other day Jeff Eats “had” a Margherita Pizza (Tomato Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Pecorino Romano, Organic Basil, E.V.O.O.) and a Quattro Formaggi Pizza (Fresh Mozzarella, Organic Basil Gorgonzola, Pecorino Romano, Ricotta, Garlic, E.V.O.O. ( No Sauce )) and I gotta tell you, the pizzas absolutely blew me away. In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting top-notch quality stuff like this- from a food truck…Trust Jeff Eats when I tell you, the pizzas were as good, if not better than the ones served up by most of South Florida’s full-blown wood fired brick oven joints!

Just between you guys and Jeff Eats- Chinese takeout joints are a dime a dozen down here in South Florida. Trust me, I’ve been to plenty of them!

With that in mind, when I come across a really good one, it sticks in my mind- and Kiki’s Asian Bistro is one of the “stickers”!

Real simple story here, absolutely delicious American-Chinese Food- I absolutely love the joint’s General Tso’s Chicken. Just so we are straight, I singled out the General Tso’s Chicken- but literally everything that Kiki’s serves up is right on the money.

If you live or work near Kiki’s- try it!

Got an “American-style” joint for you…Our Place, in Boca Raton. Now don’t get nervous or nothing…but the joint is located in the Boca Raton Plaza Hotel & Suites. Now, I can just imagine what’s going through your mind…not exactly the Ritz Carlton in Manalapan.

Anyway…Our Place is a good-casual joint. The menu is limited, but there are enough appetizers-burgers-sandwiches-entrees…so nobody is going to go hungry. Take a look at the joint’s website www.ourplaceboca.com for menu/prices/photos–this way, you’ll know what you are getting yourself involved with.

I gave Our Place a shot the other night and I enjoyed it…Real reasonable prices and the bacon cheeseburger– chicken cordon blu sandwich–philly cheese steak sandwich–baby back ribs…were A-Ok… better than the stuff most of the sports bars down here serve.

Absolutely-positively nothing fancy here. Lookup “casual” in Webster’s and this joint’s picture is probably there.

This is my kind of a joint. Good food. Good service. Good prices…and tee shirts and shorts are the dress of the day. The joint also has tv sets and an outdoor tiki-bar…what’s bad!!

Our Place is open 365 days a year 7am-2am. The kitchen closes at midnight.

Somewhere Jeff Eats read or maybe it was- heard…that eating dark chocolate was good for you!

Sure hope that’s true, because these little suckers are amazingly delicious and kinda addictive!

I’m thinking that a fair monetary “settlement” by Chili’s to each of the customers involved should be $100,000…and that-the waiter should receive a 90 day jail term!

I’ll bet you anything, that if the above “settlement” and “jail sentence” were standard practice- there would be far less spitting going on in America’s restaurants!

DNA proves Chili’s waiter spit in customer’s drink

Some of us have suspected a surly waiter spit in our food, now a New York State couple used DNA evidence to prove it. A Syracuse-area couple was not going to stop until they brought a rude waiter to justice. The couple says their waiter, then 24-year-old Gregory Lamica, was visibly annoyed and frustrated one busy night in the restaurant, but it seems the last straw was when they asked for drink refills to go.

When they went to put the cups in their car’s cupholders, the couple says, one of the lids popped off and revealed something gross. The couple told their local news paper in Syracuse: “It wasn’t regular spit either. It was a loogie.” What’s worse is they said they brought the drink with the loogie back to the managers at Chili’s and all he did was issue a refund. So they called the State Troopers to investigate and sure enough the test came back positive for his DNA in the customer’s cup.

The couple plans to sue Lamica and the restaurant for psychological trauma.
