$2.50 Walmart Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Rotisserie Chickens

Posted on April 2nd, 2016 · American Deals Fast Food · 14 Comments »

* $2.50 Walmart Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Chickens.

Way-back on February 11, 2016 Jeff Eats told you guys about-how delicious Walmart’s Rotisserie Chickens were. That tale is reprinted down-below!

Long story short, since that tale appeared, I have literally been telling anyone and everyone who would listen about these chickens.

Anyway, a few days ago a Walmart cashier (Linton Boulevard & Military Trail- Delray Beach store) told me that every day at 8pm the $4.99 rotisserie chickens are marked down to $2.50 a piece. When those chickens are sold, the next freshly made batch are priced at the “regular” $4.99 price. Just so you know, last night at 8:02pm Jeff Eats purchased 4- Walmart lemon paper rotisserie chickens and the cashier charged me 10 bucks- so I know the lady (cashier) spoke the truth…interestingly, nowhere in the store is this “markdown” advertised in print, this is simply a “word of mouth” situation! The one caveat to the $2.50 “tale”- Jeff Eats isnt sure if this markdown is a company-wide policy or just limited to the store I mentioned- the bet here, it’s in all-stores, but like I just said, I’m not sure!

Let’s close this one out by telling you that Walmart’s lemon pepper and tradional rotisserie chickens are dynamite!

As for the $2.50 “tip”- don’t say that Jeff Eats never gave you nothing!

* Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie & Traditional Rotisserie Chickens.

Got a real simple story to tell you guys…

For years, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy has been telling me that Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotisserie Chickens were sensationally delicious- and for years Jeff Eats has paid his very dear friend Roy no mind!- That is until yesterday at 3:46pm when Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats just happened to notice a 7 person line waiting at the deli-counter in the Walmart located on Military Road & Linton Avenue in Delray Beach for Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens which were coming-off 2- huge rotisserie grills. To make a long story short, in the span of 4 minutes Jeff Eats counted 12 1 lb. 13 oz. $4.99 birds being “snatched up” -with two (1 Lemon, 1 Traditional) of them finding their way into Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ shopping cart!

Let me wrap this one up for you guys, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy was absolutely right Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens were sensationally delicious. For you guys “into” Costco, Publix, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Boston Market trust Jeff Eats when I tell you that “their” rotisserie chickens are no match for Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens. Now you guys and Jeff Eats both know that “taste” is a subjective thing- what you like -I may hate and vice versa, so do what you’d like with the above Walmart Chicken Information!-and those of you with any sense of good taste can thank Jeff Eats later!

***** Dontee’s Restaurant, 620 Belverdere Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, (561) 655-6001.

Got a real good diner for you guys, Donatee’s Restaurant in West Palm Beach.

Just between you guys and Jeff Eats- I’m a sucker for joints like Dontee’s Restaurant. Maybe it’s the genes or something, but I absolutely love “mom & pop” diners with booth/table/counter seating, flat top grills, easy going and super pleasant staffs, reasonable prices, delicious food, big portions, pass through windows, no drama, tons of breakfast stuff, burgers, salads, sandwiches, Greek stuff, entree “specials” and in Dontee’s case that are open Monday- Friday 6am-8pm, Saturday- Sunday 7am-3pm.

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats recently did lunch- and like I said 1.456 seconds ago, Dontee’s is a real good diner.

Let me wrap Dontee’s up for you guys, the joint hasn’t reinvented the wheel, it’s just an example of a well greased one (I know, corny)…

Got this seemingly “terrific” Flowering Cherry Hedge offer via e-mail today!

Jeff Eats’ born and bred Brooklyn gut-is telling him…”Stick with Publix, don’t play Johnny Appleseed, you know stickball, you know punchball, you don’t know cherries, Stick with Publix, Stick with Publix, Stick with Publix.”

Just in case your gut is telling you something else- 1. Think about getting a new gut, 2. Check with your HOA to make sure that it allows “you” to grow cherry hedges, 3. Same as #1- Think about getting a new gut, 4. cherryhedge.com.

Shut Up & Jam Tour

* Ted Nugent.

A recent e-mail received by Jeff Eats.

Jeff,

How do you hear about and keep track of various events, concerts, festivals, shows, etc. in South Florida? How do you decide which ones to tell your readers about?

Tanya

________

Tanya,

Good questions!

No bs- here, on average Jeff Eats receives 20-25 e-mails a day from Florida “venues.” Throw in visiting a ton of internet sites- and Jeff Eats has a pretty good idea as to what’s playing and what’s coming up!

As to “which ones” I tell you guys about, let’s just say I got a pretty good “feel” as to what most of Jeff Eats’ readers (known as an audience) are into- for example, I know from your past Jeff Eats’ “comments” that you love Oldies & 60’s Rock n Roll shows!

Printed down below is an “example” of the type of e-mails I receive from Florida venues.

Thanks for reading…

Free Rolling Stones’ Concert (Havana, Cuba)

Posted on March 30th, 2016 · Cuban Deals Music/Events/Other · No Comments »

* Free Rolling Stones’Concert!

At first glance -Jeff Eats thought that this recent admitonenow.com article was an advertisement for a new senior assisted living facility opening in Pembroke Pines…

image

Did any of you guys go? (The concert was this past Friday)- Havana is only 90 miles north of Key West!-you may-be wondering how Jeff Eats knows the distance/mileage- you guys do remember John Kennedy, Fidel Castro and Nikita Khrushchev, sure you do!

image

from admitonenow.com
Tonight, the Rolling Stones will bring their music to Cuba for the first time ever. Concert organizers expect more than a million people to show up on the streets of Havana for the open air concert. The band arrived in the Cuban capital on Thursday. The performance is billed as the first open-air concert in Cuba by a British rock band ever. Not too long ago, Rock and Roll was considered subversive and decadent by the Castro-regime, so this concert marks something of a milestone. Up until the year 2000, the music of the Beatles was banned.

The Rolling Stones have now been touring for over five decades. In a recent press release, lead singer Mick Jagger told Cuban fans “We are so excited to be coming to play for you. Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful country.”

Music really breaks barriers. Recently, Cuba saw electronic artist Diplo perform in Cuba’s first ever electronic dance concert. Cuba is the last stop on the Rolling Stones’ Latin America tour.

The concert is FREE on a first-come, first-served basis. If 1 million people actually show up to the concert, that equates to 1 in 11 people on the island.

Fun fact: Guitarist Keith Richards has one very strange requirement before he goes on stage. He must have Shepherd’s pie or the show will not go on.

In return for the “free” concert, the band is expected to receive a lifetime supply of Cuban cigars. Well, at least that’s what we assume.
