The legendary front man of Mötley Crüe is coming to Pompano! His unmistakable voice lead some of the greatest rock songs of this generation including “Shout At The Devil,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Kickstart My Heart,” “Same Ol Situation,” and “Saints of Los Angeles.” Opening for Neil will be hard rock icons, Great White.

Vince Neil will be singing all of his classic hits at The Amp, from both his years with Mötley Crüe and his three solo albums. The badass performer is also working on new music, and he has hinted about performing some of it during this tour.

“I’ll say that we are recording some stuff for a new record this year,” he said in a Loudwire interview in January. “You often hear some surprises at our shows. I don’t want to give away some of those surprises…The music is exciting. It’s good, fun, nasty, raw energy and goods songs.”

Neil has also signed on to be a contestant on the upcoming season of The Celebrity Apprentice, which will feature new host Arnold Schwarzenegger.

A respected philanthropist, Neil established The Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation (www.skylarneil.org), as tribute to his daughter whom he lost to cancer in 1995, the organization has raised over $2 million to help combat childhood cancer.

Opening for Neil is Great White, a band whose sound has captivated audiences worldwide with crushing blues-based guitar riffs and swagger that invokes an emotional high for anyone who listens. The band’s core writing team of Michael Lardie and Mark Kendall forged numerous hits over the years, and when Audie Desbrow joined in ’85, the grooves hooked an amazing stride. For nearly a decade, Scott Snyder has merged his unforgiving rhythm to Desbrow’s relentless percussion. And, in 2011, Terry Ilous’ feverish energy and far-stretching vocals melted perfectly into the Great White mold.

The band has sold 10 million albums worldwide, had has six Top 100 Billboard hits, nine Top 200 Billboard albums, two platinum albums. A couple of weeks ago, Jeff Eats was in the Orlando-area and came across food truck- The Pastrami Project Delicatessen- that makes outrageously delicious pastrami sandwiches. Just between you guys and Jeff Eats, I bought a couple of the suckers and devoured them during my 2-hour and 46 minute Florida Turnpike trip back to Boca Raton.

You guys down “south” now- got another reason to visit Orlando- besides Space Mountain, your kid at UCF and Halloween Horror Nights!

Just between you guys and Jeff Eats…if you’re into listening to & partying with some of South Florida’s best bands, Rip’s is a joint that you definitely want to know about! Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats (don’t tell the Eats- kids) have spent a good number of nights there and I gotta tell you, we’ve always had a great time! The joint isn’t “big” but it does have a full bar area (real reasonable prices), something like 30 tvs, indoor/outdoor seating…and as you can see from the down below menu, enough- reasonably priced/decent “bar food” so everyone will find what to eat! For-you guys who maybe wondering and I know who you are…the cheeseburger ($8.99-comes with French fries), the grilled parmesan wings (10-$9.99) and the prime ribs sliders (3-$10.99) are real strong!

Got a very good “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joint for you guys- 9 month old Francesca’s Italian Ristorante & Pizzeria in Delray Beach.

Real simple tale to tell you guys, last night Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “did” dinner- and Francesca’s food, service, prices were right on the mark!

For you guys with inquisitive minds, Francesca’s menu has the “expected” appetizers, salads, soups, hot/cold subs, pastas, pizzas, calzones, stromboli, entrees (soup or salad, pasta side)- your tee shirt/shorts/flip flops’ ensemble is the dress of the day!

You guys and Jeff Eats both know that “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joints are literally a dime a dozen down here in sunny South Florida. For sure- some are very good, others are good, some are fair and others flat-out stink! You guys and Jeff Eats also know, that food “reviewing” is a subjective-exercise, what Jeff Eats likes, you may hate and vice versa- with that in mind, based on the veal parmigiana, penne with meat sauce, stromboli, garlic rolls, Philly cheesesteak sub (Francesca’s calls them heroes) that Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats had- Francesca’s gets a “very good”-call…delicious food, super pleasant service, large portions, reasonable prices!

Jeff Eats is kinda thinking -that if you live or work in Francesca’s neighborhood- you definitely want to give the joint a shot!

Real- and I do mean real simple concept at work here…food court pasta joint-currently with 2-locations, Oviedo Mall and Lakeland Square Mall…pick your pasta/top your pasta!- told you guys, real simple concept!

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats recently did lunch at the Oviedo joint and I gotta tell you- Cup Pasta is cranking out some real delicious stuff! Just between you guys and Jeff Eats- Cup Pasta hasn’t reinvented the “design your own wheel” or nothing- that said, its reasonably priced-freshly made pastas and toppings- were absolute dynamite and you can’t ask for much more than that!
