Got a real good “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joint for you…Fiorella Italian Restaurant And Pizzeria in Lake Worth. You’re big “boys” -so no need to describe what Fiorella’s decor looks like-but unlike most of it South Florida brethren it has a small full liquor bar area.
You’re big “boys” so no need to detail Fiorella’s menu- but its got the expected appetizers, salads, subs, calzones, pastas, pizzas, stromboli, entrees, desserts- its also got the expected soup/salad-entree-pasta side-garlic rolls “specials.”
A recent dinner outing, had Jeff Eats “trying” baked clams oreganta, plain pizza, veal parmigiana, lobster ravioli, eggplant rollatini, penne ala vodka, shrimp scampi, clams/white sauce over linguine, and I gotta tell you, Fiorella makes some real good stuff. For you new- Jeff Eats’ readers, there were 6 folks in my-party, didn’t want you to think I’m some amazing-over eater.
You guys should know by now, that Jeff Eats isn’t really into doing- food pecking orders- but I loved the shrimp scampi, clams/white sauce over linguine, lobster ravioli,-so there!

Finally, I know that some of you guys are wondering where Fiorella stacks up in the South Florida Mom & Pop Red Sauce Food Chain- let’s do it this way, if Fiorella was close- by my house, Jeff Eats would be a very steady eat in/takeout customer.
Now for a real solid, Fiorella’s website has a load of discount coupons and its takeout menu has even more coupons.
By the way, Fiorella which has been around since 2006 is open Monday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday noon-9pm.

The Cheese Danish is a fresh take on a pastry McDonald’s first offered in the ‘80s.
McDonald’s is welcoming a new addition to the McCafé Bakery menu this fall, and it’s giving fans a tasty way to switch up their seasonal routines in a world of pumpkin, maple and pecan.
Introducing the Cheese Danish. This flakey pastry with a sweet cream cheese filling and topped with a buttery streusel and light vanilla drizzle is exactly what you didn’t even know you needed this season. Perfect to enjoy for breakfast or as an afternoon treat, McDonald’s is serving it up all day at participating restaurants nationwide starting September 14. It’s available for purchase in restaurants, the drive-thru or on the McDonald’s App for McDelivery.
The Cheese Danish, which is a fresh take on a pastry McDonald’s first offered in the ‘80s, joins an all-star roster of McCafé Bakery items including the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, and Cinnamon Roll. Wingstop is a real-easy concept to comprehend… non breaded wings, breaded boneless wings, breaded white meat chicken strips…9 flavors…handful of sides.
A recent outing had me trying—breaded wings/breaded strips/boneless wings/french fries…hawaiian, teriyaki, garlic parmesan flavors. Loved all of the offerings/flavors. Also really enjoyed the fresh hand cut french fries. From what I can tell, everthing is made to order…the stuff came out of the kitchen piping hot.
If you like wings and fries, you’ll like this joint.

Got a real good super casual seafood joint for you guys, Chowder Heads Restaurant in Jupiter.
Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and another couple recently did dinner- and I gotta tell you, other than being a bit on the pricey-side, not one person at our table, including Jeff Eats bitched about anything!
Chowder Heads bills itself as serving “Authentic New England Seafood”…If you can keep a secret, Jeff Eats’ knowledge as to what constitutes “Authentic New England Seafood” was “acquired and honed” by my having having spent 5 Summers 1957-1961 at Camp Annisquam (and as a result- having taken 5 tours of the Birds Eye Frozen Food Factory) in Gloucester, Massachusetts!
Trust Jeff Eats on this one, Chowder Heads Restaurant which is open Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11:30am-9pm, closed on Monday- serves up real good stuff!

Got a real good sports bar for you guys to checkout, Uncle Mick’s Bar & Grill in Jupiter.
Real simple tale to tell, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and our long-time friends Tom and Sandy “discovered” Uncle Mick’s Bar & Grill and I gotta tell you that the joint’s food and service were right on the money! Table/booth/hi-top seating, separate full liquor bar, loads of tvs, reasonably priced appetizers/ salads/ burgers/ hot and cold sandwiches/ wings/ entrees menu, pool tables, stage/dance floor, lineup up events including live music- bands /karaoke/Texas Hold’em/ line dancing, open Sunday noon-3am/ Monday-Saturday 11am-3am.
Let’s wrap up Uncle Mick’s Bar & Grill by saying-its real good food, pleasant staff, low key no drama vibe and the good company of our friends Tom and Sandy made for a perfect Labor Day outing!
