Not to get personal but I know that you live in Boca Raton. I mention that because I also live in Boca Raton at the Broken Sound Country Club.

I was thinking that maybe you could help me out with a little football party I’m having next Sunday at my home for about 35 people. I’m thinking salads, pizzas, subs, calzones, wings and fruit/desserts. Definitely using The Boys Farmers Market for fruits/desserts. What’s your best call on the the other items? It goes without saying, looking for delicious food, good prices, reliable, close by and delivery service if possible.

Got the perfect joint for you, Jet’s Pizza in Boca Raton.

Just a heads-up, don’t be a-scared (afraid) that Jet’s Pizza is a -takeout only- national pizza chain…

Over the past few weeks, Jeff Eats has “taken-out” something like 5 times from the Jet’s Pizza in Boca Raton-and I gotta tell you, that all the-stuff (pizzas/calzones/subs/salads/wings/breads) ordered was right on the money! My last- outing just 3- days ago, netted me Jet’s bread, Caesar salad, a calzone (marinara sauce/mozzarella cheese/pepperoni/sausage) and an 8 corner pepperoni pizza- all of which I would highly recommend being in your party order! Trust Jeff Eats when I tell you, that all of Jet’s Pizza’s food is delicious…it’s just a question of the menu you want to put together!

By the way, there are currently 27-Jet’s Pizzas in Florida (jetspizza.com/stores/state/FL)- based on your “address” the Boca Raton store is the closest to your home.

Got a real good sports bar for you guys to checkout, Uncle Mick’s Bar & Grill in Jupite

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and our long-time friends Tom and Sandy “discovered” Uncle Mick’s Bar & Grill and I gotta tell you that the joint’s food and service were right on the money! Table/booth/hi-top seating, separate full liquor bar, loads of tvs, reasonably priced appetizers/ salads/ burgers/ hot and cold sandwiches/ wings/ entrees menu, pool tables, stage/dance floor, lineup up events including live music- bands /karaoke/Texas Hold’em/ line dancing, open Sunday noon-3am/ Monday-Saturday 11am-3am.

Let’s wrap up Uncle Mick’s Bar & Grill by saying-its real good food, pleasant staff, low key no drama vibe and the good company of our friends Tom and Sandy made for a perfect Labor Day outing!

Let me start by saying…HUNAN GARDENS IS A GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD CHINESE RESTAURANT…The operative word in the last sentence is, NEIGHBORHOOD, capisce?

Over the years I must have eaten in this joint at least 20 times. I can’t remember a time, when Hunan Gardens failed to pass my circa 1957 Brooklyn Jewish American Chinese Taste Test of – wonton soup-egg rolls-spare ribs-pan fried dumplings-roast pork fried rice-sweet and sour chicken-pistachio ice cream!

Gourmet stuff? I don’t think soooo! This is a good NEIGHBORHOOD Chinese joint to know about. For those who live in the Delray Beach area, Hunan Gardens is located in the “middle” of a strip shopping center located at the southeast corner of the Linton Boulevard/Military Trail intersection.

Hunan Gardens is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. By the way, this joint is owned/run by super-nice people.

Got a real good pizza joint for you guys to check-out, How Ya Doughn’? in Boca Raton.

Real simple tale to tell- basically takeout/delivery, pizzas/salads menu, order/pickup at counter, inside counter seating/handful of outside tables and picnic benches.

Yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” How Ya Doughn’? (which opened something like 3 months ago) and I gotta tell you that the pizzas and salads we picked-up to help “feed” a couple of visiting cousins were off the chart delicious!

Now, you guys know that this food reviewing gig is purely a subjective game- you know, what Jeff Eats likes you may hate and vice versa! With that in mind, I kinda think that I know my pizzas and pizza joint salads and I’m telling you that How Ya Doughn’? is an absolute must try joint!

How Ya Doughn’? is open Tuesday-Thursday 11am-8pm/ Friday-Saturday 11am-10pm/ Sunday noon-8pm, closed on Monday.
