Rise Biscuits & Donuts opened last week and I gotta tell you- delicious stuff! I singled out its Maple Bacon Bar for special mention- but trust me, its bacon/fried egg/cheese biscuit is also absolute dynamite!

Got a joint that you guys may want to checkout- Rise Biscuits & Donuts scheduled to open in Coral Springs this coming Saturday, December, 2, 2017 (7am-2pm)!

Jeff Eats’ very dear friend, Nick lives in Durham, North Carolina. For the past several years, he has been telling me- actually he’s been raving about a fast food biscuit/donut chain- named Rise Biscuits & Donuts which supposedly makes off-the-chart delicious donuts, biscuits, sandwiches and salads!

Checking Rise Biscuits & Donuts’ website (risebiscuitsdonuts.com) Jeff Eats found- that Rise currently has 1- Texas location, 1- Georgia location, 1- Virginia location and 10- North Carolina locations. I also found a list of “Coming Soon” locations and like I said 2 seconds ago- a Coral Springs’ location is set to open this coming Saturday!

Checking YELP and other review sites, Jeff Eats found tons and I do mean tons of positive comments about Rise Biscuits & Donuts!

You guys now know about- as much as Jeff Eats does about Rise Biscuits & Donuts- with that in mind, next week Jeff Eats is going to checkout the Coral Springs’ location- followed by my take on the joint!

We opened Rise in Durham in 2012 with a simple vision…serve great food at an affordable price point, made with premium quality ingredients by people who care. Rise serves biscuits, donuts and sandwiches from 7am-2pm every day, waitstaff-free and with a swift service line. We’ve got fresh coffee, juices, and milk for you to enjoy while you wait.

At breakfast time, we offer unique biscuit sandwiches featuring everyday favorite fillings like our buttermilk-brined fried chicken, crispy bacon, salt-cured ham and country sausage topped with egg, cheese, and spreads. Come lunchtime, the menu shifts to sandwiches on a potato roll, including our righteous chicken, Savory Buffalo Chicken with house-made buffalo sauce, shaved celery and blue cheese sauce, and limited time offerings like the Cubano with roast pork loin, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. Yeast and cake donuts are available throughout the day and feature unique flavors like the Maple Bacon Bar and Crème Brulee.

Got a real good reasonably priced- build your own pizza & salad joint for you guys, MOD Pizza which opened in Parkland something like 6-weeks ago.

Unless you’ve-just arrived from Planet-Mars, you know the concept- order at the counter/ food delivered to table, gas fired oven/ pick your dough, sauce, cheese, toppings.

MOD (Made On Demand) Pizza is a national pizza chain with something like 215 units scattered throughout the United States. The Parkland joint is the chain’s first Florida location (indoor- table, booth, counter seating and outdoor table seating).

Yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats did lunch at MOD- and I gotta tell you- that the pizzas we “built” were absolutely delicious!

Like I said 2 seconds ago, you’ve seen the “concept” before- with that in mind, MOD Pizza was right on the money decor-wise, food-wise, service-wise and price-wise!

Yesterday, Jeff Eats came across these Trader Joe’s Soft Black & Soft Strawberry Licorice Twists $2.49-packages while shopping at the Trader Joe’s, 855 South Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida 33432, (561) 338-5031 and I gotta tell you guys, real good stuff! Not sure whether it’s a psychosomatic-thing, a black only-thing, a strawberry only-thing, or a strawberry & black combination-thing, but Jeff Eats has found a delicious Ex-Lax replacement! Anyway, I gotta be running, but I’m thinking, I may have told you guys stuff you didn’t need to know!

We had a feeling you’ve been dying to know more about licorice, so we’ve pulled together some fun facts…

Way-back on 9/16/17- Jeff Eats told you guys about a real good Italian bakery- Palermo’s Italian Bakery in Boynton Beach. Over the past 8 years, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats have been steady Palermo’s customers and I gotta tell you guys that the joint’s cakes, breads, cookies, pastries and prepared foods are top-notch stuff!

The tale- Over the past 8 years, Palermo’s expanded its bakery “operation” to include a limited breakfast/ lunch menu and live entertainment (at night) on its rear outdoor patio! On Friday & Saturday nights- in addition to desserts the joint has “price fixed” Italian dinners! Every month- Palermo’s website- palermoitalianbakery.com has an entertainment calendar which lists upcoming performers/ events. Trust Jeff Eats on this one, this is a really casual way to enjoy delicious desserts/dinner stuff while being entertained by some very professional performers!

Its stuff is outrageously good.
