Trust Jeff Eats when I tell you guys- that Gourmet Gourmet is one of the best Chinese take-out joints in Florida.

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats got hooked on this joint about 7 years ago and literally whenever we are in Gourmet Gourmet’s neighborhood- we get something to eat there.

Like I said, Gourmet Gourmet is a take-out joint, that said it does have a small eat-at counter if you want to “dine” there!

Got a really good Chinese “takeout” joint for you guys…Gourmet Gourmet in Miami. Just so you know, Jeff Eats first told you guys about Gourmet a Gourmet on 11/25/10- some things bear retelling…

Let me make this one short and simple…

Applying the world-famous Jeff Eats’ “1959 Brooklyn-Jewish Chinese Taste-Test”—wonton soup, egg rolls, bbq ribs, roast pork fried rice, general tso’s chicken, beef with broccoli, mu shu pork…Jeff Eats has to tell you, that Gourmet Gourmet is one of the better Chinese takeout joints that I’ve encountered down here in sunny South Florida. Just so you know, the food was picked-up at the store and was eaten at a friend’s apartment about 5 minutes away…For those of you who like a pecking order, I thought that the mu shu pork and egg rolls were the best items, closely followed by the bbq ribs—the rest of the stuff “tied.”

Like I said a few seconds ago, Gourmet Gourmet is a TAKEOUT—so that precludes a ton of you readers from playing this “game.” For those of you who live or work in Gourmet’s neighborhood—this is a good joint to know about.

The joint is open Monday-Saturday 11:30am-9:30pm and Sunday 5pm-9:30pm.

* Piper’s Sports Bar and Grill Presents-CHAIN REACTION The Ultimate Journey Tribute Band.

For you guys who maybe wondering what Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats will be doing on Saturday Night, December 16. 2017 around 9pm- well wonder no more!

In recent months, Jeff Eats has been hearing some real good stuff about no-frills Piper’s Sports Bar and Grill in Greenacres! Loads of flat screen tvs, reasonably priced booze, real good reasonably priced food (handful of appetizers/salads/wings/burgers/sandwiches), top notch- Rock n Roll- cover/original/tribute bands on Friday & Saturday nights, karaoke/pool/poker/jam nights!

Long story short, on Saturday, December 16th, 2017- Chain Reaction an absolutely terrific Journey/Styx tribute band is booked to play the joint. Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats are gonna be there to party with the band- and to checkout Piper’s food & booze- so on and so forth!

Piper’s Sports Bar and Grill is open Monday-Saturday 11am-2am, Sunday noon-2am.

One final thought, Mrs. Jeff Eats doesn’t think that my “habit” of writing about our future plans-is such a great idea, what with all of the home burglaries she reads about every day in the Sun Sentinel- I told her- that she need not worry as our new puppy Floppy who stays at home when we are out for the evening- loves to play with strangers.😜

***** Great Value- Hip Chip Ice Cream Sandwich.

Yeserday- Jeff Eats bought a package of Walmart’s house brand, Great Value- Hip Chip Ice Cream Sandwich at the Walmart Supercenter, 16205 South Military Trail, Delray Beach, Florida 33484- and ate all 6 sandwiches while watching last night’s Yankee game! Not going to tell you guys which team Brooklyn born and bred Jeff Eats was rooting for!

Long story short, the sandwiches ($4.88/6 per package) were absolutely delicious!

The next time you’re in Walmart, buy yourself a package or two or three- of Great Value- Hip Chip Ice Cream Sandwich, that is unless unless you don’t like or- you’re allergic to vanilla ice cream and/or chocolate chip cookies!

Yesterday, the pictured package cost Jeff Eats $3.98 at- the Walmart Supercenter, 16205 South Military Trail, Delray Beach, Florida 33484- and I gotta tell you guys, these walnut & pistachio muffins were delicious.

So- if your tastebuds work like Jeff Eats’ tastebuds do- you definitely should think about buying these muffins!
