You know and I know that ice cream stores, yogurt stores, gelato stores, juice/smoothie stores are a dime a dozen down here in sunny South Florida. In my travels, I have found that “these” stores have now become like lawyers and doctors…that being, they specialize in one area or another. For example, a store may have 67 different types of yogurt but not one scoop of ice cream…or a store may sell 359 different types of smoothies but have no yogurt

Anyway…today I found -Frozen Delight–an all in one, ice cream/yogurt/gelato/smoothie joint. Absolutely perfect for the couple or family that likes different “things.” Sounds simple, but trust me, I’ve been to many “shoppes” where Jeff Eats left happy while Mrs. Jeff Eats left pissed off beyond belief…and vice versa. There have been times when we have left a joint…where even the United Nations couldn’t have solved the dispute…Just thinking, the UN may-be the wrong “example” as its resolving-history isn’t all that good…But, I think you guys appreciate what I’m trying to say here.

Frozen Delight- has the “full boat” of yogurts, fat free yogurts and low calorie yogurts…plus all the toppings that your little heart could want. In addition, its got a ton of ice cream flavors, in-store made gelatos, fresh juices, smoothies and waffles. Mrs. Jeff Eats especially enjoyed the joint’s 8 calories per ounce chocolate and pistachio yogurt…Jeff Eats on the other hand, absolutely loved the chocolate chip ice cream and mocha gelato “calories unknown”-cone that -frozen delight’s fixed up for me.

You folks now know about a really good “multi-faceted” yogurt-ice cream-gelato joint.

One final thought…

What Happens To Student Debt When You Die?

We know it’s a weird question, but it’s an important one when it comes to your financial planning.
What happens to your student loans if you die?

It’s not a fun thing to talk about, but if you haven’t paid off all of your student loan debt when you die, what happens to it? The answer ranges from simple to complicated, and it depends on a number of factors.

If you have federal student loans, they’ll be forgiven as long as someone provides the servicer with a death certificate or other qualified proof of death.

Parent PLUS loans are also eligible to be discharged, and since it’s the parent who took on the loan burden, the debt will be discharged if either the parent or the student dies before it’s paid back. Keep in mind, if the student dies, the forgiven loan amount is considered taxable income, which could lead to a hefty tax bill next April. Parents will receive a 1099-C form after the debt is canceled.

Cosigners could be in deep trouble if you have one since they’ve agreed to be responsible for your loan in the event you can’t pay it back. The death of a borrower can trigger a default, which makes everything due immediately, and this can happen even if you’ve always made payments on time. There might be a way for you to remove your cosigner’s responsibility through what’s called a cosigner release. A cosigner release allows you to remove the cosigner from your loan if you meet certain criteria — usually several months of years of consistent payment proving you can handle the loan on your own. Not all loan servicers allow this, so be sure to check with yours.

Loans issued by private loan issuers are where this issue can get thorny. The largest private student loan issuer, Sallie Mae, forgives debt if you die, but not every lender has such leniency. Since private student loans are treated more like traditional loans than federal student loans, lenders may come after your estate when you die, but if the loans are in your name only, your children should be fine.

Check with your loan company. Check the National Student Loan Data System to find your lender, then call them to figure out whether your loans will be discharged.

Got a real simple story to tell you guys…

For years, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy has been telling me that Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotisserie Chickens were sensationally delicious- and for years Jeff Eats has paid his very dear friend Roy no mind!- That is until yesterday at 3:46pm when Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats just happened to notice a 7 person line waiting at the deli-counter in the Walmart located on Military Road & Linton Avenue in Delray Beach for Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens which were coming-off 2- huge rotisserie grills. To make a long story short, in the span of 4 minutes Jeff Eats counted 12 1 lb. 13 oz. $4.99 birds being “snatched up” -with two (1 Lemon, 1 Traditional) of them finding their way into Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ shopping cart!

Let me wrap this one up for you guys, Jeff Eats’ very dear friend Roy was absolutely right Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens were sensationally delicious. For you guys “into” Costco, Publix, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Boston Market trust Jeff Eats when I tell you that “their” rotisserie chickens are no match for Walmart’s Lemon Pepper Rotisserie and Traditional Rotessire Chickens. Now you guys and Jeff Eats both know that “taste” is a subjective thing- what you like -I may hate and vice versa, so do what you’d like with the above Walmart Chicken Information!-and those of you with any sense of good taste can thank Jeff Eats later!

Real short tale to tell you guys, last night Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats, Son Jeff Eats and two of Jeff Eats Son’s buddies did dinner at Gar Sing- and the joint’s food passed Jeff Eats’ Brooklyn Jewish American Chinese circa 1957 Food Taste Test- with flying colors!

Believe me when I tell you guys- this takeout/dine-in (handful of tables) joint’s food was off the chart delicious! No bs- here, Jeff Eats is kinda thinking that Gar Sing could easily compete with NYC Chinatown’s best joints!
