Got a real good Chinese joint for you guys- Golden Pavilion in Jupiter.

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats recently did an early dinner there- and I gotta tell you, Golden Pavilion’s food was right on the money!

In addition to a menu loaded with real good Brooklyn Jewish American Chinese Food circa 1957- Golden Pavilion has a dim sum menu (served every day) for you guys who like to play that game!

Just between us guys, Boca Raton resident Jeff Eats can only think of two eat-in Chinese joints by my house-(5 miles) whose food comes even close to being as good as Chinese Pavilion’s is! By the way, 42 miles one way- is way outside of Golden Pavilion’s delivery radius!

Got a real good “mom & pop” diner for you guys to check-out, Fat Jack’s Deli & Pub in Lakeland.

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff “discovered” Fat Jack’s Deli & Pub (which opened in 1963) and the joints’ food and Mayberry service-decor-vibe blew us away! Indoor table/ booth/ counter seating, reasonably priced breakfast/ lunch/ dinner/ daily specials menu, open Monday-Friday 7am-8pm/ Saturday 6:30am-8pm/ Sunday 7am-2pm.

First things first, if you’re “looking” for fancy schmancy- this joint ain’t gonna work for you. Like I said 6 seconds ago, “mom & pop” diner/ Mayberry service-decor-vibe! For you guys who don’t know “Mayberry” it’s Google time!

Long story short, last night Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Bella Amici Pizzeria & Restaurante and the joint’s food absolutely killed! Handful of inside & outside tables/ inside counter seating, no frills pizza joint decor, reasonably priced appetizers/ pizzas/ pastas/ hot & cold heros/ entrees/ desserts/ daily specials/ beer & wine menu, open Tuesday-Thursday 11:30am-9pm/ Friday-Saturday noon-10pm/ closed Monday.

Just so you know, Bella Amici’s food totally blew Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats away! I gotta rate this joint right up there with the best “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joints that we have eaten at in Florida. Just so we are straight- if you’re looking for fancy schmancy- Bella Amici is absolutely-positively not going to work for you! I’m talking here- tee shirts/shorts/flip flops, pizzas, pastas, mussels marinara, lasagna, wings, fried calamari, strombolis, heros, antipasto salad, garlic knots, tartufos, endless Coca Cola refills and loads of napkins!

Real simple tale to tell, last night, Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats “discovered” Campi Italian (which recently opened) in Delray Beach and the joint’s food and service blew us away! Inside table/booth seating/ outdoor patio table seating, eat-at full liquor bar, reasonably priced appetizers/salads/pastas/entrees/desserts menu.

Just between you guys and me, Campi Italain is owned/operated by the same guy who owns/operates the iconic 40 year old Campagnola restaurant in New York City. The best way to describe Campi Italian, swanky looking white table cloth decor, hip super competent wait/management team, delicious food and a vibe that makes you feel as if you’re eating in an Italian grandma’s kitchen! Sounds- confusing? Go eat there and just maybe- you’ll “see” what I am talking about! By the way, the joint’s desserts are off the chart dynamite!

Let’s wrap-up Campi Italian by saying that its food killed, that it’s open, Monday-Thursday 5 pm-10 pm/ Friday-Saturday 5 pm-11 pm/ Sunday 5 pm-9 pm, that you can check menu/prices/info at campidelray.com and make sure that you leave room for dessert!

***** Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle- Chocolate Chip.

This past Wednesday (7/3/24) I “discovered” bags of Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle – Chocolate Chip (20oz/$8.98) at Costco Wholesale, 17800 Congress Avenue, Boca Raton, Florida 33487, (561) 981-5004- and when I read that an 8 piece serving only had 120 calories- figured that it was worth a shot and bought 2 bags!

The only thing that I can tell you guys is that this “thin and crispy brownie snack” is absolutely delicious, is totally addictive and that I have already devoured both bags! And, I am looking forward with bated breath to my next Costco Wholesale outing!

For you guys who may not appreciate where Jeff Eats is going with this tale (or maybe mathematically challenged), 20 ounces is equal to 1.25lb X 2= 2 1/2 lbs.- And, I am not especially proud of myself!
