Real simple tale to tell, last night, Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats “discovered” Campi Italian (which recently opened) in Delray Beach and the joint’s food and service blew us away! Inside table/booth seating/ outdoor patio table seating, eat-at full liquor bar, reasonably priced appetizers/salads/pastas/entrees/desserts menu.

Just between you guys and me, Campi Italain is owned/operated by the same guy who owns/operates the iconic 40 year old Campagnola restaurant in New York City. The best way to describe Campi Italian, swanky looking white table cloth decor, hip super competent wait/management team, delicious food and a vibe that makes you feel as if you’re eating in an Italian grandma’s kitchen! Sounds- confusing? Go eat there and just maybe- you’ll “see” what I am talking about! By the way, the joint’s desserts are off the chart dynamite!

Let’s wrap-up Campi Italian by saying that its food killed, that it’s open, Monday-Thursday 5 pm-10 pm/ Friday-Saturday 5 pm-11 pm/ Sunday 5 pm-9 pm, that you can check menu/prices/info at campidelray.com and make sure that you leave room for dessert!

Got a real good cheesesteak joint for you guys to checkout, Wicked Cheesesteaks Pizza & Wings in Fort Lauderdale.

Simple tale to tell, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and our friends Marcia and Robert “discovered” Wicked Cheesesteaks Pizza & Wings and I gotta tell you that its food absolutely killed! Order/pickup at the counter, indoor table & counter seating/ small handful of outdoor tables, handful of full size stand-up arcade games, reasonably priced cheesesteaks/ wings/ pizzas/ salads/ heroes/ sandwiches/ quesadillas/ calzones/ strombolis/ appetizers/ desserts menu.

Let’s wrap-up this tale by saying that Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Marcia and Robert loved Wicked Cheesesteaks Pizza & Wings’ food, that the owners were super pleasant and that you guys should give the joint a shot!

***** Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle- Chocolate Chip.

This past Wednesday (7/3/24) I “discovered” bags of Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle – Chocolate Chip (20oz/$8.98) at Costco Wholesale, 17800 Congress Avenue, Boca Raton, Florida 33487, (561) 981-5004- and when I read that an 8 piece serving only had 120 calories- figured that it was worth a shot and bought 2 bags!

The only thing that I can tell you guys is that this “thin and crispy brownie snack” is absolutely delicious, is totally addictive and that I have already devoured both bags! And, I am looking forward with bated breath to my next Costco Wholesale outing!

For you guys who may not appreciate where Jeff Eats is going with this tale (or maybe mathematically challenged), 20 ounces is equal to 1.25lb X 2= 2 1/2 lbs.- And, I am not especially proud of myself!

A journalist and a young actor were sitting in a bar atop a luxury apartment building, drinking heavily and making wagers. After 7–8 rounds of shots the journalist says to the young actor “let’s make this interesting” and walks to the window looking far above the city. The journalist continued, “if you jump from this window to the ground below, using my newspaper connections I will make you more famous than you could ever imagine”. The young man thought about it and replied that “it would be crazy to attempt such a feat and would mean certain death”. The journalist assured him that it was safe and could prove it by jumping himself. “Let’s see..” said the actor. So the journalist promptly lifted the bottom window frame and lept gracefully, almost floating out of the window down to the ground below miraculously completely unharmed. The young actor seeing movie deals and adoring fans convinces himself that there must be some trick maybe an air vent block air to cushion the blow so when the journalist returned the young man finally agreed. Counting to three the actor jumped, plummeting to the ground with an awful thud, instantly dying. The journalist returned to the bar where the bartender, while pouring a shot said “ you’re a real jerk when you’re drunk Superman”!

***** The Fresh Market- $2.99 per lb Beef Ribs.

Just a heads-up, yesterday, The Fresh Market, 5540 North Military Trail, Boca Raton, Florida 33496, (561) 994-2221) had Beef Ribs for $2.99 per lb.- Chef Jeff Eats was a buyer coating the ribs with Sweet Baby Ray’s Original Barbecue Sauce and gas bbq-grilling them at 350 degrees for 90 minutes…WALLA!

By the way, the jist of this tale- is not that Jeff Eats is some kind of a wizard-cook or something, but rather that the beef ribs were ONLY $2.99 a pound! Just between you guys and Jeff Eats, am I wrong or am I right, that today a 1 scoop ice cream cone costs more than 3 bucks?

Just so you guys know, an 18 oz bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s Original Barbecue Sauce will run you something like 6 bucks!
