Handful of tables, reasonably priced -pizzas/ salads/ pastas/ entrees/ hot & cold subs/ other stuff menu, no frills decor, open Sunday 11:30am-9pm/ Monday-Thursday 11am-9pm/ Friday 11am-10pm/ closed on Saturday.

Let me wrap The Pizza Shop up- by saying, its New York Style Cheese Pizza (thin/ crispy/ sweet sauce/ foldable/ nice oil drip) alone, was worth the price of admission!

Trust Jeff Eats on this one, Joy Luck’s food absolutely kills!

Real simple tale to tell you guys, last night Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats ate dinner at our friends’ Lou and Angela’s house in Palm Springs. Lou and Angela ordered from Joy Luck Chinese Restaurant which delivered the food to their home! AND- Lou and Angela picked-up the bill! Lou told me that Joy Luck is a “mom & pop” restaurant which does both eat-in and takeout!

Putting aside the fact that free-food always tastes good, I gotta tell you that this Joy Luck joint makes some heavy duty delicious stuff…wonton soup, egg drop soup, egg rolls, fried dumplings, bbq ribs, shrimp with lobster sauce, roast pork fried rice, sweet & sour pork, roast pork lo main, beef with Chinese vegetables- were all right on the money! For the curious, I thought that the shrimp with lobster sauce, bbq ribs and roast pork lo mein absolutely killed!

Let me wrap this one up for you guys, free or not free- Joy Luck’s food is really good.

Yesterday- Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Whit’s Frozen Custard and all I can tell you- is if you like frozen custard- you will absolutely love this joint. Simple concept- order/pickup at counter, inside table & wall counter seating, very reasonably priced vanilla/chocolate/rotating daily and monthly flavors/toppings/shakes-malts menu, open 7 days a week noon-10pm, currently 51 U.S. store-chain with a handful of Florida joints- Boca Raton store opened in October,2019.

Let me wrap-up Whit’s Frozen Custard by saying that its custard is made fresh daily and is absolutely delicious!

Simple tale to tell, yesterday- Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Mickey’s Subs and I gotta tell you that the joint’s subs absolutely killed! Order/pickup at counter, table seating, reasonably priced hot/cold subs/chips menu, open Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm/Sunday 11am-5pm.

Now, (I’m kinda assuming that) you guys know, that most good sub joints use Boars Head Meats & Cheeses and -that the vegetables/sauces/breads/portion size/prices/sub maker’s passion determine- who the really top-notch players are!

With the above in mind, trust Jeff Eats when I tell you – that Mickey’s Subs is a top-notch player!
