* Humor!

A gorilla strolled into a bar and asked for a drink. The bartender and all the other customers were taken aback by the gorilla’s ability to order a drink. Looking side to side, the bartender wondered if he was the only one who found it strange that the large animal had just entered his bar.

Without much thought, the gorilla leaned forward and asked the bartender to bring him a martini. The bartender’s jaw almost hung on the ground when he heard the gorilla order a drink.

The bartender shrugged his shoulders and decided that he would make the animal the drink that he requested without asking too many questions.

He made the martini, shaken, not stirred just as the gorilla had requested, and placed it in front of him at the bar. The gorilla pinched the thin stem of the glass and lifted it to his lips, taking a tiny sip. He said:

“Hmmm, this is great, man!”

Before the bartender turned around to attend to the other customers, the gorilla pulled out a $50 bill and slid it to the bartender across the bar.

Genuinely surprised, the bartender took the cash, thinking to himself that not only does the gorilla order and drink martinis, but he also pays for it. But, of course, this was the last thing he expected would happen during his shift.

As the bartender walked over to the cash register, he thought he would try something to see how far the gorilla’s intelligence really stretched.

He grabbed the change from the register and even wrote out a bill for the animal before walking back over to where he was seated. Then he gave him the change, and looked to see how he would respond.

The bartender decided to make small talk with the animal, saying he was happy to see him in the bar because they didn’t see gorillas regularly. The gorilla looked up and said:

“That doesn’t surprise me seeing that you charge $47 for a martini.”

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Paolo’s Of Boca Raton and its food killed! Inside table seating/ 2 tables outside, no frills decor, reasonably priced appetizers/ pizzas/ pastas/ subs/ wraps/ rolls/ calzones/ salads/ entrees/ desserts menu, open Sunday/Tuesday-Thursday 11am-9pm/ Friday-Saturday 11am-10pm/ closed Monday.

Now! You guys know that this Jeff Eats’ food gig is purely a subjective call…what I like, you may hate and vice versa- with that in mind, I’m telling you that this joint’s food is delicious- and Paolo’s Of Boca Raton is an absolute must try!

Trader Joe’s Everything Bagels.

Real simple tale- yesterday morning Jeff Eats “purchased” Trader Joe’s Everything Bagels (6 count/ $2.99) at- Trader Joe’s, 855 South Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida 33432, (561) 338-5031 and I gotta tell you guys, that these bagels whether eaten straight out of the bag or toasted are absolutely lousy!

Now, you guys know that this food “reviewing” gig is purely a subjective call- you know, what I like, you may hate and vice versa! With that in mind, my tastebuds said- white bread shaped like a bagel topped with everything seasoning!

A crusty old Sergeant Major found himself at a gala event, hosted by a local liberal arts college. There was no shortage of extremely young, idealistic ladies in attendance, one of whom approached the Sergeant Major for conversation.

She said, “Excuse me, Sergeant Major, but you seem to be a very serious man.

Is something bothering you?”

“Negative, ma’am,” the Sergeant Major said, “Just serious by nature.”

The young lady looked at his awards and decorations and said, “It looks like you have seen a lot of action.”

The Sergeant Major’s short reply was, “Yes, ma’am, a lot of action.”

The young lady, tiring of trying to start up a conversation, said, “You know, you should lighten up a little.

Relax and enjoy yourself.”

The Sergeant Major just stared at her in his serious manner.

Finally the young lady said, “You know, I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but when is the last time you had sex?”

The Sergeant Major looked at her and replied, “1955.”

She said, “Well, there you are.

You really need to chill out and quit taking everything so seriously!

I mean, no sex since 1955!

Isn’t that a little extreme?”

The Sergeant Major, glancing at his watch, said in his matter-of-fact voice, “You think so?

It’s only 2130 now.”

Bagel City South makes some of the best New York styled bagels and bialys in South Florida. The stuff is made the old fashioned way, that being hand rolled, boiled and then oven baked.

The joint is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Great place for appetizing, burgers, deli, eggs and of course those fantastic bagels/bialys.

Sassy waitresses and talkative countermen add to the New York flavor. This is a real good one.

Humor!

A wealthy politician released her tax returns for the public to view, according to custom.

The politician had a neighbor who was in charge of a charity that was struggling for funds. After seeing the politician’s tax returns, he saw a golden opportunity, and immediately went over and knocked on the politician’s door.

“All right, I can see from your tax returns that you make $500,000 a year, but you’re not giving any money to charity!” he told her. “Now, I happen to run a very credible charity, and…oh look! I live right next door. Tell you what: you write me a check for $1,000 right now to help my charity, and then I promise I’ll leave you alone.”

The politician gasped, very offended. “You think I have money just sitting around to give to charity?” she said. “Were you aware that last year, my father lost his house in a fire, and everything he owned along with it?”

“Um, I didn’t,” said her neighbor.

“And did you also know that my daughter got into a horrible car accident last year, having medical bills several times her annual wages?” she went on.

“Er…no, I’m sorry…”

“And that my sister had her husband walk out on her, leaving her penniless with three children?”

Her neighbor, now very embarrassed, said, “Oh, my! I apologize. I had no idea what was going on with your family members!”

And the politician continued: “And so… if I didn’t give any money to them, why would I give any to you?

Got a real good fast food burger joint for you guys to checkout, Thee Burger Spot in Tampa.

Simple tale to tell, yesterday Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats, Son Jeff Eats and a couple of friends “discovered” Thee Burger Spot and its food absolutely killed! Order/pickup at the counter, handful of tables inside/outside, reasonably priced beef hamburgers/ chicken sandwiches/ cheesesteaks/ sides/ some other stuff menu, open Monday-Saturday 11am-6pm/ closed Sunday.

Let me wrap-things up by saying, if you’re into off the chart dynamite flat top grilled hamburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, French fries, onion rings- Thee Burger Spot is an absolute must try!
