Pattie Lou’s Donuts (Orlando)

Posted on August 10th, 2022 · American Breakfast Desserts Fast Food Orlando

***** Pattie Lou’s Donuts, 139 E Pine Street, Orlando, Florida 32801, (407) 203-3362.

Got a real good ‘cake’ donut joint for you guys to check-out, Pattie Lou’s Donuts in Orlando.

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Pattie Lou’s Donuts and I gotta tell you- the joints’ donuts killed! I’m kinda thinking that you guys already know the concept- vanilla cake donuts that “you” (actually its Pattie’s staff) top with “toppings” and a good handful of already “designed” signature donuts for the “non-designer-stick-in-the-mud crowd.” Order/pickup at counter, handful of tables/window counter seats,

Pattie Lou’s Donuts is open Monday-Saturday 8am-4pm/ closed on Sunday.

You guys can check menu/prices/info at pattielousdonuts.com.

  1. I’m a huge donut fan.
I love all kinds of donuts.
Every so often I stop into joints like this where you can ‘make’ your own cake donut. I will say, that I prefer donut shops that have both yeast and cake donuts. having just cake ones kind of limits my options on buying a dozen.

  2. Same concept as Duck Donuts which has something like 225 locations. The one I frequent in Boca Raton is literally always busy. Fun concept if you’re into cake donuts. If you’re into yeast donuts you’re out of luck.

You hit the nail on the head.
If you’re into cake donuts, this works for you. If you’re into yeast donuts, it doesn’t work.
Personally i love jelly and glazed donuts. these are yeast donuts.

Cute concept, but it seems to me that this Make Your Own concept is more for kids than adults.
Not for me, to stand there and design donuts, but that’s just me.

Jeff, spelled it out way back in 2018.

    Duck Donuts (Kissimmee)

    ***** Duck Donuts, 710 Centerview Boulevard, Kissimmee, Florida 34741, (407) 350-5832.

Got a real good donut joint for you guys to checkout- Duck Donuts in Kissimmee.

Real simple concept at work here, freshly baked “vanilla cake” donuts with your pick of toppings, handful of “vanilla cake” donut sandwiches, handful of “vanilla cake” donut sundaes- order/pickup at counter, watch your donuts get made, 3 indoor tables/2 outside tables. For you guys not interested in playing Pierre Cardin- Duck Donuts has a rotating lineup of signature “vanilla cake” donuts available for purchase!

Just between you guys and Jeff Eats, until yesterday- when Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats stopped in the Duck Donuts in Kissimmee, neither one of us had ever heard of the joint-before! Playing Clark Kent and Lois Lane, we found that Duck Donuts is a franchise-deal currently with something like 60 stores (2 in Florida-Kissimmee and Estero with a third store under construction in Boca Raton) with current plans to build an additional 120 stores in 23 states. You can checkout locations/info at duckdonuts.com.

Like I said 2 seconds ago, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats found Duck Donuts, yesterday! Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats each “designed” 12 donuts- and the 2- $15.50 per dozen boxes (donuts bought individually- $1.40) had 24 winners in them! Just so you know, the donuts were the same size as your “standard” Dunkin’ Donut- and if you’re into “vanilla cake” donuts- the bet here is that you’re really gonna enjoy Duck Donuts! Just so you guys and Jeff Eats are straight with each other- Duck Donuts only makes “vanilla cake” donuts not “yeast donuts”- so to paraphrase the late great Sy Syms- An educated consumer is Duck Donuts’ best customer!

    Duck Donuts is open, Monday-Thursday 7am-7pm, Friday-Saturday 7am-9pm, Sunday 8am-9pm.

    Jeff,

I recently took my grand kids aged 8 and 11 to Pattie’s and they had a blast designing a 1/2 dozen donuts. Believe me when i tell you, some tasted better than others, but all in in all every one of them tasted pretty good.

Definitely a cute concept, but this 54 year old grandma would prefer a Krispy Kreme or for that matter a Dunkin’ Donuts outing.

    JMHO

By the way, both kids also love Duck Donuts which as you know is basically the same concept.
