Pizzacraft Artisian Pizzeria (Fort Lauderdale)

Posted on November 23rd, 2015 · Fort Lauderdale Italian Pizza

Pizzacraft Artisian Pizzeria, 330 SOuthwest 2nd, Fort Lauderdale, FLorida 33312, (954) 616-8028.

There is an old Polish saying or maybe it’s an old Latvian saying…”If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything.”

With the above in mind, yesterday Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats ate lunch at Pizzacraft Artisian Pizzeria- basic cheese pizza pie, meatball sub, ricotta appetizer and…since I am neither Polish nor Latvian, lousy way-overpriced crap!- the $18 6-slice pizza was under-cooked (the cheese was room temperature) and the dough was topped with a puddle (trust Jeff Eats, “puddle” is being kind) of “who knows what reddish/yellow liquid”- the $14 meatball sub tasted like/and had the same consistency as the Sloppy Joes that P.S. 179’s cafeteria use to serve for lunch in 1957 (trust Jeff Eats, in 1957 nobody lined-up for seconds on those Sloppy Joes) and the $9 ricotta appetizer had no taste-whatsoever!

To be perfectly honest with you, after paying the $56- bill (tax and tip included) I felt like an absolute schmuck for having chosen this joint to eat at. What a freaking rip-off!

Now you guys and Jeff Eats both know that food “reviewing” is a subjective game…what I may like, you on the other hand may hate -and vice versa…with that in mind, printed down below is Pizzacraft’s description of itself…

Trust Jeff Eats, lousy way-overpriced crap!

  1. Jeff,
Pizzacraft is owned by the same co that owns ROK which is a terrific burger operation.

Based on ROK I tried Pizza about 2 weeks ago and like you found the joint to be an absolute disaster. The pizza was horrendous. The cheese was big globs that were luke warm at best and the sauce was like a pool of reddish/yellow colored liquid sitting on top of the dough. Absolute garbage.

Overpriced for a small 6 slice pie is an understatement.

This joint will never see me again and the ROK people should be ashamed of this mess.

That’s a shame. As the poster above mentioned ROK burger, their other restaurant, is terrific. ROK is also priced pretty well compared to other gourmet restaurant burgers.

Haven’t tried Pizza Craft, however I find all of these fancy artisan/craft pizza places to be a rip-off. I prefer the typical red sauce pizzerias. In most cases the food is better and at about 1/3 of the price.

There’s a place that opened up by me in Delray. It could be great for all I know, but they’re selling a plain cheese pizza for $25!

Ate there a couple of weeks ago and it sucked. Reading YELP I thought I was the only one who thought it sucked. Now I know I’m not alone.
By the way their ROK Burger rocks, so go figure.

Agree. Pie looked good but was not good….

    Tried it.
    Terrible.

At Louie Bossi. Housemade salumi is legit. Pizza on the cusp. Sauce needs work. Too watery… Dough not bad. Wayyy better than pizza craft.

    Slice soon
