***** Cups Frozen Yogurt, 2605 South State Road 7, Wellington, Florida 33414, (561) 333-3134.

Cups Frozen Yogurt is a franchise “self serve” frozen yogurt chain…for our purposes there is currently 1-Florida location in Wellington. When you check menu/prices/other info at www.cupsfrozenyogurt.com you’ll find that it also has stores in New York-New Jersey-Virgina-California.

Cups Frozen Yogurt advertises itself as “Frozen Yogurt-that’s hot.”

Like others in the space, Cups-is self serve frozen yogurt by the ounce/all kinds of toppings. From what Jeff Eats can “tell” Cups’ game-plan is to be a cool (pun intended) joint…electronic dance music blasting away in an upscale South Beach Dance Club type setting.

Let me wrap this up for you…

Forty-five years ago, Jeff Eats father told-him (that’s me)-“If you take a monkey and put him in a $1,000 suit (that was a load of money for a suit back then) he’s still just a monkey.”

With that monkey-story in mind, Cups Frozen Yogurt is a self serve frozen yogurt joint that its owners have “dressed up.”

Just so you know, Jeff Eats tried a handful of Cups’ yogurt-flavors…all of them were just-fine, but “nothing” shall we say proprietary going on there.

In closing, Cups Frozen Yogurt is a small chain. It currently has 1 Florida outpost and another under construction in Boca Raton. Personally, Jeff Eats thinks that- Cups is coming to Florida’s self serve frozen yogurt party way too late… Now, all this is just one man’s opinion…but that’s the way I see it.

In all fairness- Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats-coincidentally all EDM fans, loved the Cups’ concept-yogurt.

For those of you up -for giving Cups a try- if necessary, there is an Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Boca Raton where you can polish-your foot work up!

Cups Frozen Yogurt is open 7 days a week 11am-10pm.

You got this one pegged just right.
I know Cups from its Clifton NJ location.
    Decent enough yogurt.
    Loud music.
    Night club interior.
Teenage girls in tight clothes running the place.
The self serve business is over saturated and this is that dressed monkey you mentioned.
The music alone makes it an unbearable outing.
    This concept will soon end.

    Hey Jeff,
I think that CUPS is related to ZinnBurger which is coming to Boca. They are next door to each other.

  3. Linda E. says...

Jeff, No question it’s but a variation on a theme but CUPS was very good. Clean, good flavors and a great look and vibe.

  4. Tony N. says...

You want to have a headache with your yogurt then go to this place. It’s so loud with music that its ridiculous.
Poor concept that is only good for teenagers.

They couldn’t have picked a worse location.

  7. Mister Waiter says...

I give the Wellington store no chance of making it. It is one of the worst locations possible.
The Boca store currently being built is in a much better location. Can’t hurt being next to Zinburger’s.

Took a look at the Wellington store. Didn’t try the yogurt. It won’t last long. HORRENDOUS LOCATION. Can’t understand how the people who own this store could ever think that the location was viable. Also can’t fathom how the franchise allowed them to open there.

Just happened to be in Wellington yesterday and stopped by CUPS.
    Yogurt was okay.
You have to be kidding me that the owners actually thought that this location would work.
This has to be one of the worse spots that could ever have been picked.
There is no way in hell that this store will last.

the store location tells me that the franchisor couldnt give a good crap about this franchisee. there is no way that this store could ever be successful. i couldnt think of a worse location in wellington.
as for the music theme etc. the franchisor must be smoking some real good sheeet to believe the concept will work.
well, another poor franchisee is soon going to watch his hard earned money go down the drown because out of business is coming.
