*****  Pizza Time, 1001 SW 2nd Avenue, Boca Raton, Florida 33428 (561) 391-9240.

Do me a favor and read the writeup (June 30, 2008) that I did on Pizza Time (Coral Springs). Go ahead, I’ll wait…

Rather than rehashing the details…suffice it to say, that the guy who originally owned the Pizza Time in Coral Springs sold the joint and has now “resurfaced” in Boca Raton (in what was formely Sal’s Italian Restaurant) in a new Pizza Time.

This “newest” Pizza Time is terrific. It is as good as the original Coral Springs’ joint. Great pizza, pastas, meat/seafood/chicken entrees.

Pizza Time is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

  1. jeffeats: Ate at Pizza Time in Boca Raton last night. Same nutty guy who owned the Coral Springs’ restaurant was running this one. Pizza was delicious as was the veal parm. Glad they opened as it saves me a ride to Coral Springs.

  2. Hey!!you are right that old Pizza Time guy is back in business in Boca Raton. The food is okay but imho Nino’s runs circles around this Pizza Time. No need to rush to this restaurant.

Tried the new Pizza Time. The food was as good as the Coral Springs’ store. Very nice cozy looking restaurant. Great pizza and chicken parm.
    Will be back for sure.

One day it was a Sal’s the next day it was a Pizza Time. Other than adding a few Pizza Time signs and a handful of photos the restaurant has the same interior as Sal’s. Use to pickup pizza on the way home from Sal’s. One big difference, the pizza went from just ok to being great. Glad Bobby bought this location.

One of my favorite things is good garlic bread and good garlic knots. I was over at Pizza Time and had some of its garlic knots and they were some of the best that I have ever eaten. Most places just baked rolls and then slop butter/garlic on top. I don’t how they make them here but these were big rolls witht he butter and garlic running through the entire roll. Just great.
I also had a veal parm main dish that was delicious. I think what made it was so delicious was that it was baked and not fried.
    Great marinara sauce.
Everyone should try Pizza Time it is so much better than the crappy places that are around.

  6. Dinner for 4 last night cost $78 and everyone went home with a doggy bag. Everyone had a salad, main dish and pasta side throw in 3 sodas and a glass of wine.
The sauce on my eggplant parm was incredible.
Others had chicken parm, veal parm and grilled chicken breasts.
Better than the original Coral Springs spot.
Was there at 7;30 pm place was very busy and the takeout didn’t stop during the hour we were there.
    Highly recommended.

in addition to you heard a lot of good things about this Pizza Time. tried it and wasn’t impressed at all. had the chicken parm and pizza. the parm tasted like it came out of a frozen food case at Publix and the pizza was ok but nothing special. can’t figure why so many people like this place.

Where is this place? I do not trust the address and I have tried to call them using the number listed and it is the number of a Pizza Hut, not Pizza Time.

  9. JeffEats says...

Zack: Just had a chance to read your post. The number now posted is the correct number.

    Thanks for reading…

just a quick comment on this restaurant. it is a small restaurant. it use to be a Sal’s. the booth seats are too low and a bit uncomfortable. you see the owner making everything as pizza ovens etc are right out in the open.
    the food is very good.
dishes like chick parm and veal parm are baked and not fried to death like most places do it.
the marinara sauce is incredible and makes everything covered in super.
the garlic knots are large and really covered in garlic and oil unlike most places which just brush the tops of rolls.
i suggest that you try pizza time it really is much better than the junky places that are all over the place.

Pizza Time and Nino’s are the two best joints in Boca. Nino’s has a bigger menu. It is a tossup as to who is better. I have eaten in both joints and like Pizza’s pizza better and also their garlic knots. I like Nino’s because I can get chicken cacciatore on the bone and a pounded veal chop and Pizza Time doesn’t have those dishes.
    Both are real good.
You can’t go wrong at either joint.

I know that Bobby sold Coral Springs. Glad to see that he is back in business in Boca. He seems to be more relaxed in the new store. Food is as good as Coral Springs.

    • traceea says...

relaxed? are you serious? someone went off there beam in there (in the kitchen) and pulled a gun when the waitress ordered one to many caprese salads! Yikes! But have to say the food is good but a little pricey! It is BOCA!

Jeff, Please try Pizza Time on Camino Real near Fresh Market/Walgreen’s. Its name doesn’t do it justice. It is run by an Italian family from Brooklyn (your neck of the woods) and everything I’ve ever had there has been perfect. (I’ve never tried the pizza though.) Can’t wait to hear what you think
