*****  Havana, 6801 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405 (561) 547-9799.

Havana is a terrific Cuban joint. Check its website at www.havanacubanfood.com for menu/prices/details.

I have been stuffing my face at this joint for years. Not certain on the number, but I probably have eaten at Havana something like 15 times. Havana which has been around since 1993, has a 2-story dining room which is open Sunday-Thursday 11am-11pm and Friday-Saturday 11am-1am…The joint also has a take-out window that is open 24 hours.

Havana’s menu is loaded with appetizers, soups, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. I can’t remember them all… but the chicken fajitas, flank steak, Cuban sandwich and spicy hamburger are some of my favorites.

Havana’s food is terrific…The prices are right…The decor is Cuban (whatever that is?)…The service is good…Tee shirts/shorts are just fine…The joint’s hours are great.

  1. Wrong!!!Havana is a second rate Cuban restaurant. I ate there about 4 months ago and although it is nicely decorated and has very pleasant help the food is horrendous. I had a Cuban steak that was like eating an old worn car tire. It was as tough and stringy as could be and had absolutely no taste. The only saving grace of this dining experiece actually debacle is that a few blocks away is an original Carvel stand where I was absle to wash away the awful taste of Havana’s food. I would never go back to this place in a million years.
You are wrong on this one.

I agree with Mr. Perry. Havana leaves a lot to be desired. Food is just OK. For really good Cuban try the Cuban Cafe in Boca NOT THE OFFSHOOT IN DELRAY. Delray doesn’t come close.

I adore Havana…the food is awesome, I don’t know what Alfred and Mr. Perry are talking about. I have been eating there once a month for years..if you love cuban, you will love Havana!

A top Cuban restaurant in West Palm Beach, this place is regularly packed during lunch and dinner. Havana has become a highly popular dining spot due to its amazing Cuban cuisine, great service and warm atmosphere. Needless to say, it’s well worth the wait to experience a famous Havana churrasco steak or the deep-fried plantains with a tres leche perfect for two for dessert. Havana delivers a fun, exciting and delicious Cuban dining experience.

I really believe they could try and get the gum off the sidewalk outside for starters..doesn’t make the best first impression. The food is authentic Cuban (so is my husband). It is one of the few 24 hour walk up windows…gotta love that. You have to like Cuban food to appreciate it. My sister ordered the snapper once and when it came with bones and a head on the plate we were surprised. The beans and rice are awesome and so are most things on the menu. I’ve heard they recently made some improvements lately but I haven’t been there in awhile. All in all, good food!!

Try Havana’s Cuban Cuisine on Griffin road and Pine Island-I am sure you” ll have a better experience. The ropa, pork and calamares frita is succulent and throw in a sangria for good measure

Let me tell you, I was at Havana last night and I had the oxtail, to my surprise it was so good I ordered an extra side to take home, oxtail has to be well made so it will taste good, Havana you got my loyalty, I will be in at least once a week thanks for the good food and the special attention of my waiter I think his name was Domingo great knowledge of the food.
