Kyojin Buffet (Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Lauderhill & Miami)

image

*****  Kyojin Buffet, 3485 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33306 (954) 568-2208.

Kyojin Buffet is a Japanese/Chinese buffet-joint…which currently has 4 locations,  Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Miami and Lauderhill…I have eaten in the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale restaurants a combined total of 9 times… If sushi is your game, the buffet is loaded with choices…plenty of soups, meat-seafood-chicken dishes, not to mention desserts…there are also guys working habachi grills, who will make you all the bbq ribs-chicken-steak-shrimp that your little heart desires. The food is pretty decent… but it won’t make you forget your favorite Japanese or Chinese joint…the joints are kept exceptionally clean and the buffet is constantly replinished.

Take a look at Kyojin’s website www.kyojinbuffet.com for menu/pricing/locations. Kyojin is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner…by the way, this isn’t one of those “bargain” buffets…lunch and dinner prices differ, but figure on spending around 25 bucks or so for the dinner buffet. One final observation…everytime I have eaten at Kyojin, it has been packed…which leads me to believe that a whole lot of people like the food and consider it a bargain for the money.

I ATE A KYOJIN 4 TIMES, I FOUND I LIKE THE FOOD AT PEKING TOKYO BUFFET BETTER IN DEERFIELD OFF FED HWY . ALSO AT 9.99 ALL WEEK LONG. IN ADDITION TO SUSHI BAR IT HAS A HUDGE CHINESE BUFFET. YOU CANNOT LOOSE FOR 09.99 PROBABLY THE BEST BARGAIN IN SOUTH FLORIDA. IM STILL WAITING FOR JEFFS OPINION ON THIS ONE.

Was a long time fan of Kyojin in Boca; our family used to go about 3 times a month – until we found Edo Sushi in Parkland (441 & Lox Rd).

Excellant alternative to Kyojin. Same format, even better on weekends with sashimi on the buffet for lunch.

We live off Federal Hwy in Boca and its well worth the drive!

I’ve been to Kyojin numerous times. It is fair at best, but the price for lunch during the week is very reasonable and one of the servers, Katia is always pleasant and helpful for the dinner crowd; however, I have tried Edo in Parkland and, they are more upscaled, but the best so far is Shin Ju in Coral Springs, Florida. Give it a try Jeff if you haven’t already.

Best sushi in the area is Makino (University Dr. south of Commercial). Lunch is $8.95 all you can eat, and freshness and variety is second to none.

Good New I heard Shin Ju is openning near the Glades exit off the turnpike. For the record:
1)Shin ju does not make you eat the rice if you do not want to
    2) For a tip the Sushi chiefs wil make you custom rolls
    3) The sushi is better that the other buffets

Used to frequent the place but it has become a factory operation with sushi makers who took a weekend course…This is not high end but filling ….Sometimes noisy with TVs on a few walls….Might go back
