Not trying to burst anybody’s balloon or nothing, but these out-door art shows/festivals seem to run into each other down here in sunny Florida! I don’t know about you guys, but I’m thinking- you’ve seen one, you’ve seem them all! I ask you- Who in their right mind is gonna buy one of those gigantic metal-animal sculptures?

That said, for some unknown reason Mrs. Jeff Eats is of a different mind-set, so look for Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and Jiggy The Dog Jeff Eats to be aimlessly wandering around the 8th Annual Hot Works Boca Raton Fine Art Show on Sunday, January, 29, 2017- around 2pm!

DESCRIPTION
Join us January 28 & 29 for the 8th annual Hot Works Boca Raton Fine Art Show, located in downtown Boca on Federal Highway and Sanborn Square Park. Voted top 100 art fairs in the nation, this juried fine art and fine craft show showcases top-notch quality artists from around the globe and locally to sell his/her original and personally handmade artwork in all discipline.
The Boca Raton Fine Art Show’s focus is visual arts, diversity, community enrichment and fostering art education among youth. The quality of the artwork is judged by established industry professionals and many of the nation’s best artists exhibit at this show. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that enhances the artwork and creates a relaxing environment for art lovers.
Potions in Motions will be onsite with gourmet food; there is a place in the park to sit and relax while eating lunch and listening to free live entertainment from world-class favorites. While at the show, be sure to check out the Budding Artist competition for grades 6-12 or ages 9-19. Sponsored by Institute for the Arts & Education this program encourages students to create his/her original art that is publicly displayed at the show the entire weekend. There is $250 in Budding Artist awards; join us on Sunday at 3pm for the Budding Artist awards presentation, which exposes students to the rules and entrepreneurship of doing art shows for a living!

Real simple tale to tell you guys…

Last night Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and another couple “shared” an 8-corner cheese pizza topped with pepperoni and sausage at Rocket Pizza in Pompano Beach- and the pizza was off the chart delicious!

Not sure on the exact history here- but sometime in the past “Rocket Pizza” was part of the Jet’s Pizza franchise system. Not sure on dates, but the store started out as a Jet’s Pizza joint and sometime later was renamed Rocket Pizza! The store which is basically a takeout- is an absolute hole in the wall with 2 tables (4 seats each)/6 counter seats, order/pickup at the counter pizza joint!

Like I said 2 seconds ago, Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and another couple “shared” an 8-corner cheese pizza topped with sausage and pepperoni which was off the chart delicious! Just between us, to my eye, tastebuds and pocketbook Rocket Pizza’s pizza was exactly the same as the 8-corner that Jet’s Pizza serves up! For what it’s worth, Rocket Pizza uses the exact same conveyor-belt pizza oven as Jet’s Pizza does (I wonder how that happened?😜). For you guys who don’t know about Jet’s Pizza, checkout Jeff Eats’ 10/11/15 “love story” on the chain!

Just so we are straight with each other, Jeff Eats “only”-ate pizza at Rocket Pizza so I got no idea as to how its other stuff is- that said, if its pizza is any indication of the type of “food” it’s turning out- this joint could also be a big-league (I know Donald Trump!) winner for other Italian stuff- as well!

Jeff Eats is gonna make this tale real short and sweet…Clary’s Corner Cafe in Lake Worth is right up there with the best “mom & pop” breakfast/lunch joints that I’ve eaten in here in Florida and elsewhere!

This joint was so good, that Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats ate breakfast there on Tuesday (1/17/17) and returned on Wednesday (1/18/17) for lunch!

Clary’s Corner Cafe is located in a residential hi-rise (Lake Worth Towers), you’ll find Clary’s by walking through a red-door at the building’s address- it’s cash only- counter/table/booth seating- and the joint makes some of the most reasonably priced delicious breakfast/lunch stuff that you’ve ever eaten! In addition to its “everyday” menu- Clary’s runs daily breakfast and lunch specials! The joint is closed Sunday & Monday and is open Tuesday-Friday 8am-2pm and Saturday 8am-1pm.

Like Jeff Eats said about 6 seconds ago, Clary’s Corner Cafe is right up there with the best “mom & pop” breakfast/lunch joints that I’ve eaten in here in Florida and elsewhere!
