Earlier this week- caught a load of Kit Kats while- trick or treating!

You guys ever try refrigerated Kit Kats with black coffee? Me neither, that is until this morning!

Pretty, pretty, pretty good!

Now, just so we are straight with each other- this Kit Kat Coffee thing is in addition to- the toasted everything or onion or sesame or pumpernickel with a schmear that “you” normally start your day off with!

While Jeff Eats is on the subject of bagels, checkout Bagel City South in Boca Raton- no bs here, I’m thinking about as close to a real New York bagel as there is down here in Florida!

Bagel City South makes some of the best New York styled bagels and bialys in South Florida. The stuff is made the old fashioned way, that being hand rolled, boiled and then oven baked.

The joint is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Great place for appetizing, burgers, deli, eggs and of course those fantastic bagels/bialys.

Sassy waitresses and talkative countermen add to the New York flavor. This is a real good one.

Gonna sound overly dramatic- but everybody’s bucket-list should include seeing the Harlem Globetrotters at least once! Like I just said, overly dramatic!

Real simple tale to tell you, Jeff Eats is thinking- that Tucci’s Fire N Coal Pizza is one of the best coal-oven pizza joints in Florida.

No bs-here, its salads, pizzas, pastas and entrees are all- off the chart- and I really can’t think of another Florida coal oven joint that makes better coal oven wings.

Regular, Jeff Eats’ readers know that…I love a good pizza. I don’t care if it’s brick-oven, wood oven, coal oven, this oven or that oven…just as long as it tastes good. You also do know that I speak fluent Italian…”Give me two slices and a large Coke.”…don’t you? Over the past 3-years or so, South Florida has been “hit” with a ton of new pizza joints which play the “coal oven-chicken wings” card…guys like Anthony’s, Coal Mine, Carolina’s, Mona Lisa, just to name a few…and by in large, they are all pretty decent… of course, some are better than others…that’s why Jeff Eats is here.

Anyway…last night, I gave Tucci’s Fire N Coal Pizza in Boca Raton a shot. The joint which has been open for something like 3 months… has indoor seating for about 50 and maybe 10 outside. The menu has 4 appetizers, chicken wings, escarole & beans, eggplant rollatini and sauteed broccoli rabe & sausage…2 salads, Italian and caesar…loads of coal/wood cooked pizzas…2 desserts, cheesecake and cannoli…beer and soda by the bottle.

Let’s make this review easy. I had an Italian salad, margherita/ricotta pizza, chicken wings. The food was delicious. The salad was cold, fresh, crisp… The chicken wings were seasoned with garlic and carmalize onion, The pizza was thin crusted, crisp, perfectly well-done, right on the money sweet sauce…As for service, pleasant as can be…Price-wise, small wings (10) $9.95, salad which could have feed 3 ($10.95), pizzas–depending on what you order (that’s obvious) start at- small ($13.95)-large ($17.95).

Tucci’s Fire N Coal Pizza is a really good coal-oven pizza/chicken joint. I enjoyed its food and casual “hole in the wall” atmosphere. By the way, you can check Tucci’s menu/prices at www.tuccispizza.com.

Tucci’s is open for lunch & dinner Tuesday-Sunday…the joint is closed on Monday.

VoicePlay- an absolutely dynamite “acapella act” that you guys gotta go see!

Hello Dere… Come join us for an intimate evening with legendary comedian Marty Allen And Bombastic singer, songwriter Karon Kate Blackwell. He is the same funny crazy guy from Television, movies and night clubs that you enjoyed for years. Karon holds her own while acting as Marty’s Straight lady. This is a family friendly show full of warmth and joy. You will leave smiling and singing one of Karon’s songs or still laughing at Marty’s atics.

Marty Allen has been making audiences laugh for 70 years, and he doesn’t intend to stop anytime soon, he still performs all over the country with his wife Karon Blackwell. He’s got stories about the Beatles, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Robin Williams, Tony Bennett and all the greats! His popularity over the years continues to grow. Marty has appeared on television game shows in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. At one point he was called the “Darling of Daytime TV” and “One of the most recognizable faces in America.” While he was destined to become huge in the comedy world, Allen actually earned accolades in his youth by winning all kinds of dance contests. Still going strong, Marty performs in Las Vegas on occasion.

A favorite story of Allen’s is about the time that he dressed up like Elizabeth Taylor, including a wig, a stole and earrings. He went to the restaurant where Liz and Richard Burton were having dinner. Allen says they started laughing hysterically when he began imitating Taylor. Burton asked him if he had ever thought of doing anything by Shakespeare, and the quick-witted Allen replied, “I don’t do old material.” Today, Allen and his wife Karon Kate perform their act mainly at casinos around the country.

Got a real good Italian joint for you guys, Tony B’s Ristorante & Supper Club which opened something like 2- months ago in Parkland!

Just so we are straight with each other, Tony B’s isn’t a $ $15.95 mom & pop- soup or salad- entree- pasta side- garlic knots, red sauce Italian joint- that said, I’m thinkin’ that you won’t need to take a second job either to pay the tab at this white table cloth, booth/table seating, separate full liquor bar area, separate dance floor, weekly music events- Italian restaurant which serves-up delicious food, serviced by a skilled professional wait-staff!

Long story short, Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and two other couples recently did dinner and I gotta tell you that the meatballs in ricotta, chopped salad, rigatoni bolognese, gnocchi sorrenttino veal marsala, pollo scarpariello (on the bone), shrimp oreganatta, veal milanese and tiramisu which found their way to our table- were absolute dynamite! The meal was complemented by the fabulous music of Joey & The Paradons- one of Florida’s premier doo wop/60s/70s bands!

There really isn’t too much more to tell you- other than- you guys gotta give Tony B’s Ristorante & Supper Club a shot! Right on the money food, top shelf service, reasonable prices, nice sized portions, music entertainment- all packaged in a real easy going white table cloth joint!
