Got a real good “mom & pop” or maybe I should- say “aunt & uncle” diner for you guys to checkout- Aunt D’s Kitchen in Jensen Beach.

Simple concept at work here…breakfast/lunch, counter/table seating, 50’s decor, menu loaded with breakfast stuff/ sandwiches/ burgers/ salads/ daily specials, good food, reasonable prices.

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats did a recent breakfast at Aunt D’s Kitchen and I gotta tell you- nothing fancy schmancy going on here- just real solid food, pleasant service, the constantly topped-off coffee cups and- Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats not being there- made for a really enjoyable 40 minute drama-free outing!

I don’t know about you guys- but, Jeff Eats any day of the week- would rather eat in an independently owned “mom & pop” diner rather than a large chain operation like IHOP or Perkins! Mind you, there is nothing wrong with the IHOPs and Perkins of the world- call me sentimental or whatever- but in my book, joints like Aunt D’s Kitchen are what America is all about! Hey! For crying out loud, Memorial Day is this coming Monday!😛

Aunt D’s Kitchen is open Monday-Saturday 6:30am-2pm, Sunday 6:30am-1pm.

Simple concept at work here- order/pickup at counter, all kinds of bagels/hot & cold sandwiches/ salads/ some other stuff menu, inside table/covered outdoor patio seating, open 7 days a week 6am-3pm.

Yesterday, Jeff Eats and three business associates did an early lunch at 18 Bagels Co. and I gotta tell you guys that this joint’s stuff was right on the money! Just between us, I kinda think I know my “bagel joints” and I’m telling you- right off the bat, 18 Bagels Co. “makes” real-bagels…boil and bake!

Trust Jeff Eats on this one- reasonable prices, delicious stuff, nice clean modern decor and a super pleasant staff makes 18 Bagels Co. an absolute winner!

Real simple concept- order at counter/food delivered to booth/table/counter seating, open Tuesday-Thursday 11am-8pm/ Friday 11am-3pm/ Saturday-Sunday 9am-3pm/ closed Monday.

Something like 93 minutes ago, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Chewie’s Kitchen and I gotta tell you that the joint’s food absolutely blew us away.

Let me wrap Chewie’s Kitchen up by saying- reasonable prices and dynamite food make- Chewie’s an absolute home-run…

Definitely one of the best Brooklyn Jewish American Chinese Restaurants circa 1957 in South Florida. If this joint was a drop closer to Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ Boca Raton abode- we would definitely be real steady customers. That said, since 2011 we’ve still managed to get to China Hollywood on average something like 6 times a year!

Literally-every day, old Jeff Eats gets asked…”What’s a really good Chinese restaurant down here.” For those of you who live or work in Hollywood–try China Hollywood.

Recently did dinner at this joint–and I gotta tell you, the food was very-good. My outing netted me–egg rolls, bbq ribs, pan fried dumplings, wonton soup, roast pork fried rice, shrimp with black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken, pepper steak with onions…like I just mentioned, the food was very-good.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here…China Hollywood’s food is probably better, that’s right better–than your favorite neighborhood joint. If this joint was in my neighborhood, it would definitely have me as a steady customer.

As you guys know, what consitutes good food is a very subjective thing. With that in mind, I’m telling you that China Hollywood passed Jeff Eats’ Brooklyn-taste test with flying colors.

China Hollywood is open Sunday-Thursday 11am-10pm and Friday-Saturday 11am-11pm.

Just checked the box-office (miznerparkculturalcenter.com) small handful of tickets left for Saturday, October 5th- 8pm show…3PM SHOW JUST ADDED. Don’t miss these guys, they put on an absolutely terrific Beatles’ tribute show!
