The Skinny- the joint opened about 3 months ago, table/hi-top/counter seating, menu of reasonably priced- pizzas/salads/calzones/wings/subs/garlic rolls/beers/wines, open Monday-Thursday 11am–10pm/ Friday–Saturday 11am-11pm/ Sunday noon–10pm.

Last night, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats gave Pizza District a shot and I gotta tell you that the joint killed it! Absolutely delicious thin crust pepperoni pizza/ garlic rolls/ chicken parm sub/ Greek salad!

Let me wrap this tale up by telling you guys- that Pizza District’s delicious food/ pleasant service/ reasonable prices/ cool looking “steel” decor/ easy going vibe- spell winner in Jeff Eats’ book!

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Luke’s Dixie Donuts and I gotta tell you that this joint’s donuts are terrific! Order/pickup at counter, handful of inside and outside tables, reasonably prices donuts/coffee menu, open Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4pm/Friday-Sunday 5:30am-7pm.

You guys do know, or should know by now- that this food reviewing “gig” is purely a subjective situation. You know, what I like, you might hate, what I think is hot, you might think is cold!

Anyway, I am telling you guys that Luke’s Dixie Donuts are off the chart delicious! The ones Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats had yesterday had both of us thinking of becoming cops!

Got a real-good “mom & pop” eat in/takeout Chinese joint for you…Hunan Wok in Dania Beach.

Using the worn- but extremely accurate “Jeff Eats’ Brooklyn Jewish Chinese circa 1950s Taste Test”-I gotta tell you that I found Hunan Wok’s wonton soup, egg rolls, fried dumplings, boneless pork spareribs, roast pork fried rice, sweet & sour pork, pepper steak, shrimp in lobster sauce all right on the money. Before the “snickering” gets too loud, Jeff Eats shared this recent eat in dinner “feast” with Mrs. Jeff Eats and our friends Nancy and Norman–just wanted you guys to know that I’m not some over-eating slob gorging himself on food-I share!

Now you know and I know that what I like, you may hate and vice versa…with that caveat-I gotta tell you everything was really good.

Look, over the past 8 years Jeff Eats has eaten in a ton of South Florida Chinese restaurants- it would be absolutely absurd to try and assign Hunan Wok a Chinese restaurant ranking number.

Let’s close this one out with this…

If Hunan Wok was by-my-house…I would definitely be a steady eat in/take out customer.

CHICAGO – After making appearances around the world, McDonald’s Chicken Big Mac is officially coming to U.S. restaurant menus.

The fast food giant announced on Thursday that the sandwich, which is a twist on the original Big Mac with two chicken patties, will become available starting on Oct. 10.

McDonald’s said the sandwich will be offered for a limited time “at participating locations while supplies last.”

“With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we’re excited to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans,” Tariq Hassan, the McDonald’s USA chief marketing and customer experience officer, said in a statement.

The Chicken Big Mac is exactly as it sounds. Rather than two beef patties, the newly-offered sandwich comes with two breaded chicken patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, and pickles on a sesame seed bun.

The Chicken Big Mac has been on menus in international markets like the U.K and Australia. It was previously tested in Miami in 2022, and food blogger @Snackolator sparked excitement among fans when they posted in late August that the sandwich was indeed coming to the U.S.

Real simple tale to tell, yesterday Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats “discovered” Goldberg’s Delicatessen and Bagel’s and the joint’s food absolutely killed! Inside table/ booth/ hi-top seating/ outside table seating, reasonably priced full boat breakfast/ bagels galore/ salads/ soups/ hot and cold sandwiches/ burgers/ hot dogs/ wraps/ knishes/ desserts menu.

Now you guys and I both know that there are more deli/bagel joints in Florida than there are Chins in a Chinese phonebook (I know, Soupy Sales 1958)- anyway, I am telling you guys that Goldberg’s Delicatessen and Bagel’s ranks right up there with Florida’s best ones!

Long story short, last night Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Bella Amici Pizzeria & Restaurante and the joint’s food absolutely killed! Handful of inside & outside tables/ inside counter seating, no frills pizza joint decor, reasonably priced appetizers/ pizzas/ pastas/ hot & cold heros/ entrees/ desserts/ daily specials/ beer & wine menu, open Tuesday-Thursday 11:30am-9pm/ Friday-Saturday noon-10pm/ closed Monday.

Just so you know, Bella Amici’s food totally blew Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats away! I gotta rate this joint right up there with the best “mom & pop” red sauce Italian joints that we have eaten at in Florida. Just so we are straight- if you’re looking for fancy schmancy- Bella Amici is absolutely-positively not going to work for you! I’m talking here- tee shirts/shorts/flip flops, pizzas, pastas, mussels marinara, lasagna, wings, fried calamari, strombolis, heros, antipasto salad, garlic knots, tartufos, endless Coca Cola refills and loads of napkins!

Simple tale to tell, yesterday- Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Andy’s Frozen Custard and the joint’s frozen custard was absolute dynamite! Order/pickup at outside windows/ drive-thru, outdoor bench/table seating, reasonably priced vanilla chocolate seasonal frozen custard cones cups shakes malts ‘all kinds of concoctions’ toppings galore menu.

Right off the bat I am telling you guys that if you’re into frozen custard, Andy’s Frozan Custard is an absolute must try! Just so you know, Andy’s Frozen Custard is a national chain which currently has 150 locations (15 states) 9 of which are in Florida.
