That’s why my husband and I no longer shop at Publix on a regular basis. Stores like Costco, Target, Walmart and Amazon are eating Publix lunch.
Jeff, when we moved to Florida some 30 years ago we had Publix, Albertsons and Winn Dixie. Publix was left standing. Fresh Market and Whole Foods replaced the other 2. Thank God for Walmart, Costco and Target because without them and folks like The Boys we would be eaten alive by Publix, FM and Whole Foods.
Publix was the game, but no more.
For example the Bays English Muffins that you love are $3,99 today at Fresh Market and $4,19 at Publix. Wheneverv I shop in Publix unless its a bogo it seems its items cost more than at competitors.
Walmart is a very poorly run store. The help stinks. the reason I shop there is because is that they have the best prices on groceries etc. Publix is a better run store but price wise, not as good as Walmart. So there you have it. personally I’d rather save the money, so i go to Walmart.
I love Lindys Italian Ices. In Walmart 6 cups pack is $2,79 and in Publix it’s $4,79. The list goes on and on. The coffee one you pointed out is beyond absurd.
