  1. One of America’s All -Time greatest singer/songwriters.

  2. Ron Peltz says...

    Jeff,
    Smokey is the greatest,

IMHO I think that General Admission Standing Only Outside is a big error. The age of the crowd with weather being in the equation just doesn’t make sense.

  3. Rosa Harper says...

    Just bought 4 GA tickets.

  4. Jay Stern says...

The man is one of the greatest music talents of all time.

  5. Sheila Roman says...

    Saw the show last night.
    Smokey still can really sing.

The outdoor venue is a joke. First of all, if it starts to rain, that’s the end of the show. There is no cover whatsoever.

The advertisement said GA standing only. Surprisingly there were seats for everyone first come first served There was a front section with reserved seats. There were no risers as advertised. Every seat was filled. For sure the SEATS were better than standing, but when you advertise Standing ONLY the casino had people totally confused and probably lost even more concert goers who didnt come because of the Standing Only advertisement.

As mentioned, Smokey can still sing. That said at 81 he does more talking than singing.

All in all a fun night, but this COCO outdoor layout leaves a lot to be desired.

    • Jane Lu says...

My husband and I had reserved seats in the 3rd row.

You are right, Smokey can still sing, but at least 3/4 of the show if not more was his talking about nonsense.

Over the past 15 years I have seen Smokey 6 times/ He is one of the greatest songwriters/singers of all time. He is definitely NOT a great dancer.

The crowd last night, loved him. By the way, in the shows I’ve seen, he has been doing the same act as I saw last night. He does kill a lot of time, with talk and foolish dancing.

As I said, he is one of the greatest songwriters/singers of all time, but imho his version of Fly Me To the Moon doesn’t even come close to Frank Sinatra’s version.

Finally, at 81, he still got it.

  7. Louis Winston says...

    Jeff,
    Smokey can still sing.
As others here mention he kills a lot of time with stories and a gigantic audience singing contest.
