Trader Joe’s Dress Circle Crispy Crunchy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.

Jeff Eats recently came across “these” cookies while shopping at the Trader Joe’s, 855 South Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida 33432, (561) 338-5031 and I gotta tell you-I know delicious oatmeal cookies when I eat them and Trader Joe’s Dress Circle Crispy Crunchy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies were as hard/bland as could be and far from being delicious! By the way, unless I’m completely nuts or something (and trust Jeff Eats I’m not), I didn’t find one freaking raisin in/on the 8 miniature cookies that I ate!

    Jeff,
I had a similar experience to yours.

Awhile ago I bought these cookies.

When I first opened the plastic seal, I found the cookies too be very hard, not that tasty and there were definitely no raisins.

The next day, I tried them again and for some reason the cookies were much softer and tastier. Maybe letting air into the package when I opened the seal did something. I really enjoyed the cookies on the second outing, third outing etc.

By the way, like you, I never spotted any raisins in the entire tub.

    Jeff,

A few months ago I purchased both the oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies. The chicolate chips were fine but the oatmeal when I opened the package were hard like a rock. As described by reader ksr the next day after the original opening of the tub, the oatmeal were much softer and delicious. I think the unsealing must have something to do with the change. Just so you know, I didn’t see any raisins either.

I had a similar situation with Walmart’s Great Value Oatmeal Cookies. Hard as a rock with no real taste when I opened the package. The next day the cookies were much softer and tasted great. Go figure.
