* Labor Day, Monday- September 4th, 2017.

Three guesses, and the first two don’t count- as to where Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats are gonna be eating lunch this coming Labor Day, Monday- September 4th, 2017!

For you “slow” guys out here…

Nathan’s Famous

1310 Surf Avenue
Brooklyn, New York 11224
(718) 333-2202
nathansfamous.com
Hours:
Sunday-Thursday 9am-11pm
Friday-Saturday 9am-midnight

If you can keep a secret, nobody and Jeff Eats means nobody- makes hot dogs and French fries as delicious as Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island does!

One last thought, although there are a number of Nathan’s “outlets” (check nathansfamous.com for locations) in Florida – Jeff Eats has yet to find even “one” that serves hot dogs and French fries as good as those made at the original Coney Island joint. Jeff Eats can’t explain “why”- but that’s what my tastebuds tell me!

    Jeff,
I have to agree with you that Nathan’s hot dogs and ff from its Coney Island location are great. You are also on the money that its Florida locations although good, don’t come close to the Coney Island food. And like you, I don’t know why.

    Jeff,
Give Zinger’s Deli in Boca Raton a try.
They recently added Nathan’s grilled hot dogs to their menu.
I had 2 for lunch the other day and they were delicious.
They also make delicious french fries.

    Jeff,
The Nathan’s in the rest stop at, Florida’s Turnpike Okeechobee, FL 34972 serves up really good dogs and fries which will run you for 2 dogs and ff around $10.

Ive been stopping here for the past year and really enjoy the food.

    Jeff,
Nothing beats eating a Nathan’s hot dog topped with mustard and sauerkraut and a side of its french fries and its original Coney Island location.
My wife and I have been down here in Delray Beach 15 years. We are both originally from Brooklyn, Midwood HS alumni. Whenever we visit friends and relatives in Brooklyn (at least onec a year) we make it our business to stop by Nathan’s in Coney Island.

  5. Jeff,
I buy their hot dogs at Publix. Boil and then broil them. Absolutely delicious. Much better than Hebrew National’s dogs.

  6. Carl Furillo says...

I like Sabrett natural casing dogs better.

The hot dogs and french fries at this location were lousy l4 months ago when I and my wife ate food from there. The help stinks.

Grew up in Oceanside, NY. Was raised on Nathan’s hot dogs and fries at the Oceanside Nathan’s. To this day some 40 years later I haven’t found better. Ive also had Coney Island Nathan’s hot dogs and fries and I’d rate them as being equal with Oceansides.

I had Nathan’s years ago in Boca Raton as well as Sawgrass Mills, good but not as good as Oceanside or Coney Island.

  9. Tom Kennedy says...

I love Nathan’s in Coney Island. You can’t beat their franks and fries.

  10. Keith Jameson says...

Was at Nathan’s in Coney Island today. 2 dogs, ff and a lemonade 20 bucks. Delicious but not cheap.

  11. Jon G says...

A great contest would be an all expense paid vacation for 2 for a week trip to New York city and a extra food voucher in the amount of $500 to be used at Nathan’s in Coney Island in Brooklyn and Katz’s in the lower East side of Manhattan for those that don’t know the location.

  12. I will turn 76 this coming Labor Day.

I was born in Brooklyn and lived there until moving to Delray Beach in March, 2015.

While a Brooklyn resident I must have eaten at Nathan’s in Coney Island literally a thousand times. Nathan’s hot dogs and French fries is the greatest dog/fries combo ever!

Since March, 2015 to date, I have been back to visit Brooklyn relatives 22 times. Each and every time, I have made it my business to visit Nathan’s in Coney Island and have dogs/fries.
Still the best that I have ever eaten.

If you have never been to Nathan’s in Coney Island, put it on your bucket list. It’s an amazing restaurant and Coney Island is a must see area! Of course, make sure that you have the hot dogs and fries!

    Happy Labor Day To All!
