Trust Jeff Eats when I tell you that Matteo’s broiled pork chop “covered” with grilled onions/mushrooms/cherry peppers is absolutely off the chart. The chop is HUGE and every time I’ve had it, it was a challenge to finish the whole thing. I’m telling you, this chop is something very-very special.

Just so we are straight with each other, Matteo’s is one of the best Italian joints in South Florida. Jeff Eats has literally eaten there countless- times and the food and service are always top-shelf.

Matteo’s is an absolute must try!

    Jeff,
I eat in Boca location. Love the food and service.
Maybe you can explain why their bread is so lousy?

      HT:

Just had a chance to read your comments.

Not commenting on good or bad bread…but, just maybe Matteo’s doesn’t want its customers filling up on bread–and as a result ordering less food. Just a theory.

      Thanks for reading…

  13. Jeff Eats,
Our family recently moved to Deerfield Beach from Baltimore.
We started to read your blog about a month ago and have to tell out that you really have your finger on South Florida’s food/entertainment pulse.
You got some great picks and your Matteos’ in Boca was an absolute homerun. Some of the best Italian food that we’ve had in the past 20 years. For sure the best baked clams that we have ever eaten.
Love the site and we look forward to trying many of your picks.
    The Greer Family
