Got something terrific for you guys who like…great food, great music, great vibe…

Pompano Beach 30th Annual Seafood Festival which is scheduled for Friday-April 25th, Saturday-April 26th, Sunday-April 27, 2014

Over the years, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats have been to something like 10 Pompano Beach Seafood Festivals and everyone of them was an absolute blast.

Take a look at www.pompanobeachseafoodfestival.com for full details/schedule of activities/admission charges.

In a nutshell, 3-all day “affairs”– “FUN, FOOD AND MUSIC ON THE BEACH”…loads of craft merchants, loads of food vendors, great local musicians and bands…this year’s headliners–Grand Funk Railroad and Iron Butterfly’s Mike Pinera and Blues Image.

Like I said 3-seconds ago, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats have been to something like 10 of “them”–and we’ll be there on Saturday for number 11 (or whatever number it is).

Trust Jeff Eats on this one, if you like great food, great music, great vibe–you will absolutely love the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival.

There is one thing that I did want to mention–years ago this festival cost something like 3-4-5 bucks to get in (don’t recall exact amounts/years)-this year Adult Admission is $15–personally, Jeff Eats thinks that the sponsors of this event are “pushing their luck” with a 15-dollar number. Look! I appreciate that events like this aren’t cheap to put on–etc…but just think, a husband/wife/2 teenagers have to go for $60 just to get in the gate–not good! That’s just how I see it.

Anyway,

Don’t miss this one! This is- why you live in Sunny South Florida and not Kew Gardens, New York.

    Great festival.
Have been to 6 of them.

Jeff, I have lived in south Florida 31 years.
This festival use to cost about $3 to get in. I then remember when it went up to $5. Kids 12 and under were free.
I see from its site that admission is now $15. Personally I think charging $15 is absurd. That means that a couple coming to the festival is in for 30 bucks before they spend one red cent on food etc. In addition that’s $15 a day.
The folks running this event are not doing the public any favors here.

The South Florida fair charged $15 this year. So maybe the Pompano Beach price is in line.

    Been to several of them.
    A lot of fun.
15 bucks is way too much.

    Festival is a blast!
However, 15.00 is too much! Family of five and teenagers who love to eat. Come on now. 🙁

      I’m with you.
Way too expensive to get in.
Should be $5 to get in.
      $15 is nuts.
My husband and I have an 11, 13, 15 year olds. I see that up to 12 is free, so it would cost us $60 just to walk through the gate on Atlantic. With food etc this outing would run us over $100. Not exactly a bargain.
I remember when it was $5 a few years ago.

    $15 is too much.
    The admission should be $5.

I was considering going until my husband said it’s ridiculous to pay such a high admission price and you still have to eat. I guess we’re going to Deerfield Beach

  7. wag goner says...

    Use to go.
Now it’s way too expensive just to get in.

  8. Linda W says...

Went to Delrays free festival instead of this $15 ripoff one.
