Boston Market (Boca Raton)

Boston Market.

I’m gonna assume that you guys know what Boston Market is.

The last time Jeff Eats was in a Boston Market was in late-2008, If you check, you’ll find a Boston Market review dated 12/31/08…suffice it to say it wasn’t good!

To make a long story short, tonight Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats decided to give Boston Market another shot…picking up food at the 9949 Glades Road, Boca Raton location.

I should have known when we got there and “seeing the sign and I quote– “Monday-Friday 11am-10pm, Saturday-Sunday 11am-10pm” that things weren’t gonna be pretty…but I figured that the “$5 off a $20 purchase” coupon that Mrs. Jeff Eats had clipped-was worth a roll of the dice.

To make a long story short–it took close to 20 minutes to takeout 2 chickens and a handful of sides–that being with 3 people ahead of us–and 4 workers behind the counter.

Do you remember “Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine”?–well, that was staged mayhem–Boston Market’s chaos with 4 people running around like chickens without heads wasn’t-it was the real deal!

On the food, the parmesan chicken was inedible…unless, you’re a fire-eater with a bucket of ice water-standing by…the mac & cheese and corn nibblets tasteless, as were the cornbread and string beans.

Imagine…we waited 5 years for “another go round”–and the chain is still serving up inept service and lousy food.

Trust Jeff Eats…there won’t be a third time.

Boston Market’s food is terrible. It’s service is horrendous.

If you think that was crazy, the last time I was at that location (6:30PM on a Thursday), they ran out of Chicken!

They wanted to know if I would wait for more to come out in 45 minutes…

Jeff, leave it to you to get The Three Stooges into one of your reviews.
I know the store that you are talking about.
Tried it years ago and the food and service were terrible.
Wouldn’t waste my time giving it a second chance, coupon or no coupon.

Jeff, ive had that parmesan chicken and like it. its spicey but that’s how I like my food. you are right that service is often very confused when you order. by the way I live in plantation so I go to different sores than you have in boca.

How this joint and Panera stay in business is beyond me. The must run adds looking for the worse HELP possible. You go into either store and its like an Our gang Comedy. Everyone is running around not knowing what to do.

You are wrong about Panera Bread. They have excellent bread, soup, pastries and sandwiches…….. You probably dont like them because you can’t use a coupon and you didn’t clean your dentures well so you were having a bad tasting day……..

        Panera has horrendous counter staff.

There is no need to insult people just because you don’t agree with their opinion….Everything comes into their stores (they aren’t bakeries because they don’t have any bakery equipment, other than an oven and a proof box ) prepared or frozen, so I can’t consider anything they have to be excellent. The dough for their bread is delivered to their stores already mixed and a “baker” forms it, proofs it, and bakes it off. All the pastries, “bagels”, and soups come in frozen. Excellent is real bagels, homemade soup, fresh pastries made on the premises by real bakers, and fresh bread made from scratch.

One more thing, patrons at a restaurant are customers, not clients

My problem with Panera is that their portions are too small for me, especially their under-stuffed sandwiches.

At one point, many years ago, there were three chicken places at the intersection of Glades and 441. Kenny Rogers Roasters, Cluckers, and Boston Market. Of the three Boston Market had the worst food and service but somehow it was the only one that survived. I go there once in a while because my kids like their food. When I see the size of the chickens they serve they look more like pigeons than a full sized chicken
