Got something that you guys might-want to checkout…

Farmer’s Table-a spanking-brand new breakfast-lunch-dinner “healthy” restaurant that is set to open in Boca Raton on November 27, 2013.

Now nothing for nothing, the term “healthy” is a very subjective word–so I’m gonna let you read a PR piece which Jeff Eats recently received on the restaurant…hopefully, you’ll get some idea as to what Farmer’s concept is all about. You can also check www.farmerstableboca.com for menu/prices to further enlighten you on what Farmer’s Table plans on cooking (pun intended) up for its patrons.

Just so you know, Jeff Eats plans on trying this joint sometime in the next 30 days, so if you get there before I do, write me and give me the skinny. By the way, Jeff Eats’ plan for “testing” Farmer’s Table includes having Mrs. Jeff Eats and Daughter Jeff Eats on premises–as they are huge fans of “healthy” cooking/foods (whatever that constitutes)–and will guide me in- writing a fair and accurate review for you, my beloved readers.

Before you get to that PR piece, Farmer’s Table is owned/operated by Boca Raton resident–Michael Robbins who if you do some “googling”- “binging” – “yahooing” has quite a diversified business background in real estate development, motion picture production, hotel ownership/operations. Just call it a hunch, but Mr. Robbins’ (who is also heavy-into philanthropic endeavors) latest business venture may-be more about “YOU” eating, good-fresh-healthy “prepared” food than- his making a boatload of money.

Anyway…here’s that PR piece-

    jeff, the location stinks.
this fellow’s deep pockets aren going to help him with this one.
the concept isn’t right for the location.
maybe on glades road between 441-95 but no way on out of the way military trail.

  2. SLF says...

If I’ve got my facts straight the operating partner use to own Green Market on Jog in Boca. A real failure. There also use be a fast food healthy restaurant in Boca on St. Andrews maybe it lasted 4 minutes. This limited health restaurants don’t work. Men don’t go there. So that means families don’t go there.

  3. KJN29 says...

Read the menu, I’m going to give it a shot.

  4. Lynn T says...

Looks like an interesting concept. May even give it a try. The location stinks. It would much better on Glades Road around 95.

  5. Susan C. says...

    Jeff
Ate lunch there and really enjoyed it. Nice selection of healthy fresh food. Nice looking restaurant.

  6. Sun Sentinel gave it 3 1/2 stars today. Wonder who got paid off there? I ate there and they got to be kidding. Food is just ok.

  7. DG says...

Enjoyed dinner tonight. Food was good (better than OK). Service and ambience/decor were good too. However, feel that TripAdvisor reports are over-enthusiastic with too many excellent ratings to be credible.

Bottom-line is that we expect to return fairly often as there are enough interesting menu choices from a concept/approach that we like.

  8. VGT says...

    jeff,
time for you to get there and give us a legit review on this joint.
sun sentinel gave them 3-1/2 ***, tripadvisor has load of positive reviews, same for yelp and facebook has 1250 likes. personally i think that someone is loading up the good comments real fast. no way you get so many facebook likes for a new place if you are legit. looking to see the real jeff eats call. thanks.

      VGT:

Just had a chance to read your comments.

Just so you know, the owners a few months ago advised Jeff Eats that they would have me in for a “tasting” as soon as they had their menu/service at full speed.

Jeff Eats never heard from the owners again.

      Thanks for reading.,,

  9. GTA says...

DO NOT GO…..WASTE OF MONEY…. OWNER is SURLY, STAFF POORLY TRAINED…….we just returned from a HORRIBLE dinning experience at the Farmers Market. We were RUSHED out having dinner and drinks in less than an hour. They attempted to take away dishes while we were still eating off them( our forks were in our hands, and they were taking our plates) Three times in less than a span of 5 minutes we told the wait staff we were not done. The waiter had a very obnoxious attitude, and made numerous mistakes on our final bill. Maybe if they paid the staff better, and did not run the ” restaurant” as if it were a fast food operation, ( ie: McDonalds, Taco Bell) they might attract a better client. We finally spoke to the owner, who was into impressing us, that he also bought the hotel adjacent to this restaurant. He was only interested in what ” country club” we resided in. We would NEVER NEVER eat here again, nor would we ever suggest to any of our friends to even try this place. It has been numerous restaurants, over the course of the last 5 years, and with staff and ownership that was evident tonight, it too will follow suit and fail, which will not be any loss to the area. The restaurant is a fad, billing itself as healthy food, the only healthy thing we did was leave!!

  11. LG says...

  12. Daniel Baieve says...

    Small portions.
    Wait staff that seems confused.
Food that really had little taste.

  17. marilyn says...

why don’t you list your menu and prices? the website is excellent, but I cannot bring up your lunch or dinner menu? Why?

  18. Leo Bernstein says...

Ate dinner 3/30/14..trout dish came out tepid, side of kale was cold….server never asked if everything was OK…I think the chef was waiting for the burger to get done..not a good idea..on the other hand the vodka martini I ordered was excellent, but I was charged for a grey goose when I ordered an absolute……I left only a 15percent tip when I usually leave at least 30percent and felt very bad about it.

  19. HelloThere says...

This place is disgusting. Ordered a burger and there was a dead roach on the burger.

  20. Leo A says...

    Food is good.
    Service is terrible.

  21. larry lehrman says...

Went there with a rather large group.
    Food was good.
    Wait staff good.
    The hostess desk sucked. CONFUSION.

  22. DealMaker says...

    Jeff,
I see that you have never actually reviewed this restaurant. I read the your post about the owner setting up a tasting. I guess it never happened.
    I ate there last night.
    The food is bland.
    The service is amateurish.
A waste of time and money.

    • JeffEats says...

      DealMaker:

Just had a chance to read your comments.

Just so you know, the owners never contacted Jeff Eats to schedule a tasting.

To be perfectly honest with you, I personally believe that a person’s word is their bond-

Trust me, Jeff Eats won’t be reviewing Farmer’s Table in the near future.

I will tell you, that I have heard good and negative things about Farmer’s Table.

Sorry but readers are on their own with this one.

      Thanks for reading..,
