Still cannot beat Zingers for oustanding food and excellent value…. Jeff you need a get together with all your “readers” for 2013. Happy New Year!!

    • Jon g says...

If Zingers is anything like Pomperdales then you should avoid it like the plague because Pomperdales is the worst. Their pastrami is like eating rubber and the corned beef is way to salty. Half of the reviews say Pomerdales is better than Zingers. So I can one imagine what Zingers is like. I’ll stick to the New York Big Apple Deli in N. Miami Beach most consistant of them all and the best soups around.

Zinger’s is the best deli in s fl, it runs circles around your big apple pick. I haven’t been to pomperdales since it changed hands a few years ago.

        • Jon g says...

I’ll check it out but if it’s anything like Pomerdales like so many people compare it to then it a awful too…I have this feelling that Zingers is on par with every other deli in South Florida and that it’s just plain average. The Big apple Deli is very good for two reasons the meat is steamed properly and the soups are are of this world. Nothing worse than rubbery pastrami if every bite doesn’t melt in your mouth than it’s just no good and the Big Apple Deli does that. I’ll check out Zingers one of These days and let you know if it any good.

How can you “have a feeling that Zingers is on par with every other deli in South Florida and that it’s just plain average” if you never experienced it. As with any piece of meat, it is possible to get a cut that is a little tough or has gristle. As a whole, however, Zinger’s has the best pastrami I have had in SoFla.

          • L Teague says...

So you got a feeling, so that’s that.
            I got a feeling you’re an idiot.
            Zingers food is exceptionally good.

          • Jon g says...

Hey schmuck I didn’t insult you till now asshole!!!! The reason I get a feeling without going is because the majority of recommendations i’ve gotten Here in South Florida about delis have been way off….most people like the schmuck above don’t have a clue what good deli is like!!!!

          • Jon g says...

I also said I’ll go try it just to be fair.

          • Barry Greenberg says...

Your comments are stupid beyond belief.
By the way your Big Apple Deli is no match for Zinger’s and your Blue Willie BBQ which you keep pushing sucks.

          • Jon g says...

Greenberg, It’s obvious you don’t have a clue about BBQ or Deli’s. If you took the time to look at Yelp you would see Blue Willies has gotten no worse than 4 stars and most are 5 stars so I guess that means they suck!!!! And even Jeff Eats rated Big Apple one of the best so I guess that means it sucks too. The only one who is stupid beyond belief is you!!

          • Jon g says...

Oh by the way about the no worse than 4 stars and mostly 5 stars Zingers can’t make the same claim….

          • HerbK says...

Jon g, I think Zingers is good not great, their sandwiches are not stuffed enough for me.

As for Yelp, don’t think for a second that their reviews are unbiased. You can hire virtual assistants in the Philippines, for as little as $200 a month, who will write great reviews for your business and terrible reviews about your competition, on a daily basis

          • Jon g says...

Herbk- I can see that, however I don’t think a small mom and pop would spend the money. A large company probably would but a small mom and pop?

          • HerbK says...

Jon G, if you owned a transmission place and you could pick up a couple of overpriced transmission repairs every week wouldn’t you happily pay someone oversees $200 a month to write how great your place is, while you ripoff most of your customers?
I know this happens because I have a bunch of VAs working for me in the Philippines for my internet business. More than a few that I let go took lower paying jobs writing bogus Yelp comments but did them using my email accounts, which they had access to, so I also got the confirmation notices.
There are also many high paid companies that specialize in reputation management that employ VA’s to write phony reviews all over the country on Yelp and other similar sites

          • Jon g says...

Herbk-I know it goes on. I just think in this economy the small place that sells some sandwiches or pizza slices that has from 5 to 20 seats is going to pay a couple of hundred dollars a month to Try and trick someone. Maybe I’m being naive but I just don’t think a small place would do it. I think if the food is good word of mouth is the best form of advertising. And I think that true for any small business.

          • Bradley says...

I love Zingers!! @^@ By far the best deli in South Florida!!

      • Frank W says...

        Try it. Then comment

        • Jon g says...

          I’m going to….

          • Scotty says...

I feel like I started an Internet blog riot…….

  14. Joe Gordon says...

    V&S Deli is mine.

  15. robertw says...

People here get quite testy over delis and Italian joints/pizza all the time. I will try Zingers again myself this week. I really only had food from there one or two times in the past. I did try the Pastrami Queen in Coconut Creek which was related to Zingers ex wife of something. That place did not last long. They were always out of items.

  16. jenna says...

Three G’s. Always good food. Someone said Bens’s in Boca and that was just awful… went there only once. Watery soup. Skinny skimpy sandwiches. New place went to yesterday..Zorba Taverna in Delray/ Cr. Military and Linton. Amazingly good food. Fresh and delicious. Think it was a bagel place before and just opened last week.. seriously, good. So much food and priced reasonable.

  17. WWWE says...

I like Gramercy Bagels in Delray.

  18. CookoJones says...
