***** Awesome Wicked Snackbar *****
There is an old saying- “Three times is the charm.”
First “it” was a Quizno’s sub shop, then it was a bakery and now it’s an American Style” joint named Wicked Awesome Snackbar selling craft beers, wines, soups, salads, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, daily meat/chicken/seafood specials, home made desserts.
The way I got this figured, Wicked’s owner saw an empty bay in the Shadowood Square Center, 20642 State Road 7, Boca Raton, Florida-the previous tenants had already built the space out–so for a “minimal” investment he took a shot and opened Wicked Awesome Snackbar.
Now for the record, Jeff Eats has “yet” to try this joint… But I will tell you, yesterday afternoon- I stopped by Wicked and the cookies on display and the salads/sandwiches I saw coming out of the kitchen looked awfully good.
So, the plan here–In the near future I’ll eat at Wicked and make a call on it. In the mean-time, if any of you guys get there before I do, please give me your opinions. So you can appreciate Jeff Eats’ “thought process”–I was so intrigued by the Wicked Awesome Snackbar “handle” that I actually made a special trip to scope the joint out for a future-meal.
Call it a gut feeling, but based on my brief ” visual” Wicked Awesome Snackbar may-be a real sleeper with tremendous food.
You can check menu/prices at www.wickedawesomesnackbar.com. Wicked’s phone number-(561) 883-3200.
The joint is open Sunday-Thursday 11:30am-9pm and Friday-Saturday 11:30am-midnight.

I have been going to this little place near my office for about 6 months now. Its called The Samich Shop. Odd name but great food. It started out as strictly a sub shop but has evolved into a darn good place for salads paninis wings burgers and fries. Their gourmet burgers and paninis are awesome. Well worth the try.
Jeff, cute name. have driven past it several times and never paid it much attention. its on an out parcel in front of the center and not really visible from the road.
will give it a try.

Hi, Jeff.
I recently purchased an almost 30-year-old family-style restaurant in the small city of Miami Springs.
I would like to invite you to come by for lunch or early dinner, Monday through Friday, and try our food.
Best,
Damian Grass

Hey Jeff,
You need to spend some time at the WAS. The food is great! All made fresh that day. We’ve had the salads, sandwiches and dinner specials. The cookies are the best I have ever had! You must come with patience as they will make things from scratch. Great craft beer selection. Owners are so kind and generous! I wish SoFla had more of these gems.. and less chains. You will enjoy!
Jeff, never ever would have even thought of going into this place. I’ll give it a shot.
The other night they did a Groupon at WAS. The entire crowd was through Groupon. They gave us wings, pizzas, desserts and other items. The food was very good and the restaurant is really cool but on the small size. My husband and I would definitely go back. The only concern I have for WAS is its location which isnt too great.
Amateurs own this place.
I give it 6 months.
Me too.
These guys haven’t got a chance.
The food is fair but they don’t know how to treat customers.
Gh
You knew it was doomed.
Clowns can’t run businesses.
I took a sandwich there today. FOr 9 bucks it was kind of small. Definitely should have been a little larger. I was driving the plaza and knew Jeff reviewed the place so I gave it a shot. It is definitely a place where they need people to know they are there. Not sure if that sort of place will work there. i see they are more like a drink and tapas place at night
I was thinking about this place today. I dont think they make it. They are positioned somewhat as a bar with food. I dont think that location will work for what they are trying to do. Not big on the name either since people associate a snack bar with those hot lights and fried foods. In a place like the Walk in Coral Springs or a high traffic area, maybe.
Out of business.
That didn’t take long.
Real rookies owned it.
