Gyroville…fast food Greek joint. Order/pickup at counter.

The other day, I had “dinner” at the Gyroville outpost in Boca Raton. Unless you’re Telly Savalas, you’re probably gonna need a GPS to find this joint as it’s located in the elbow-of a shopping center that’s in a horrendous location. The Boca store opened about 6-weeks ago…there are currently 2 other locations, one in Pembroke Pines and another in Fort Lauderdale. According to its menu, another- Fort Lauderdale location is set to open later this month. I guess, business is good—You can check menu/prices at www.gyroville.com.

To make this one short…I really enjoyed the food. A “sampling” of pork souvlaki, chicken souvlaki, grilled chicken, skirt steak—all, right on the money. I also thought that that the joint’s hummus and tzatziki were delicious. For those “totally” not on a diet, the baklava was worth the calories.

Like I said before, this is strictly a fast-food joint. Nothing fancy–just solid, really good, reasonably priced stuff.

Gyroville is open Monday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-9pm.

you are so right that the shopping center is in a lousy location. stores until very recently have been empty.
in the past year or so, 5 guys came in, same for laspada, cr chicks, shane’s ribs, hooters, so things are starting to pickup there. i also shoudl mention that nick’s pizzeria just opened there.
i have eaten in gyroville a couple of times and its very good.
by the way yogurtland is opening a store two or three dorrs from gyroville.

I ate there tonight, and I would have to say it was one of the worst meals I have ever eaten…or I should say, couldn’t eat. Ordered the vegetarian platter with fries. The spinach pie (otherwise known as spanikopita in other restaurants) was rubbery, doughy and dry. The fries were rubbery and greasy. The falafel was dry. Just awful. Will NOT be returning.

Funny that you didn’t say that Nick’s is in a horrendous shopping center since it’s the same one.

I hate Gyroville. They chop all of the lettuce and vegetables and their Tzatziki is junk.

I work in the plaza with Gyroville. I eat there at least twice a week. Never any problems. It’s located right next to ManCave which is a full salon/spa dedicated just to men.

I have eaten there now about 5 times and each time has been as good as the first. I absolutely love the heros and my new favourite the Hermes sandwich. The prices are very reasonable. My entire family love the food. The owner is friendly and this has now become our new favourite destination for a delicious, good value for money meal.

Ate here for the second time – had chicken souvlaki on pita – decent, but small portion of chicken and they use watery diced tomatoes. Have eaten a few times at Souvlaki Fast, which is much better in my opinion.
