Pastrami Princess (Coconut Creek)

Posted on March 9th, 2011 · American Breakfast Coconut Creek Delicatessen

***** Pastrami Princess, 4690 North State Road 7, Coconut Creek, Florida 33073, (954) 968-3020.

Here’s a heavy-duty heads-up…Pastrami Princess, a New York Kosher Style Deli opened 2- days ago in Coral Springs. Don’t have all of the details, but Pastrami Princess is the “brainchild” of the former owner of NYC’s famous Pastrami King and a former owner of Boca’s- Pastrami Queen which recently closed because of “family problems.”

What I do know, is that Pastrami King and Pastrami Queen were both outrageously good and I do mean outrageously good delis. If Pastrami Princess is half as good as the King and Queen locations were…deli lovers like me, will have a new joint to call “home”…

Check my “Pastrami Queen” review (12/12/08) and my “Real NY Style Delis” review (8/27/09) — and you’ll find that Jeff Eats thought that Pastrami Queen was off-the-charts.

I’ll review Pastrami Princess which is open 7 days a week for breakfast-lunch-dinner—after I’ve eaten there.

Jeff, this is amazing great news. I am familar with both the King which was in Queens NY and Queen which was in Boca.
    Both made incredibly good food.

NO CORNBEEF! WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT. Lots of luck! Call ahead to check if they have Pastrami. This was my 2nd and last attempt trying to have a meal at the “Princess”. They still are using menus from there mother the Quuen. THE WORST!
They need an adult running the restaurant to do well.

Jeff, i anxiously went today but left very disappointed. I ordered a platter with cornbeef and pastrami. Unfortunately, cornbeef wasn’t available. My buddy order turkey sandwich off the frame. Again turkey wasn’t available. He had to settle for roast beef. Now the Pastrami was incredible but being out of stock of deli staples leaves a sour taste in my mouth…. Might give it another shot a few months once they get it together.

not much of a sandwich for the 10 bucks they get. make it thicker and charge more, but right now it isn’t worth the money.

Tried them the other day for lunch. Some employees has Pastrami Queen tees on. My wife said the Pastramai was good. I thought the Brisket was ok and the Roast Beef sandwich we ordered looked ok. Tessers deli in Coconut Creek on Lyons does a very good job with Roast Beef. We havent tried their pastrami.

i had the same problem went in there and ordered a corned beef sandwich and they had none, then tried turkey and had none of that as well, what kind of deli doesnt have 2 of the most popular items that people would order. Also they had no take out menus but the pricing on it was wrong, they need to get their act together!

We ordered Passover Dinner from the PastramiPrincess last week. It was the WORST food I ever put on my table.Brisket was so salty(not edible)-Pototoes were of unknown origin-Marble Cake should have been thown away a wk ago-Most Important at the last minute I was informed that they did not have the Charoset for the Sedar Plate- R U Kidding Me- $200.00 worth of aggrevation-
DO NOT EAT THERE- You’ll REGRET it !!!

I ate at Pastrami Princess for the 2nd time last week. The first time the matza ball in my soup was stone cold. This time my friend and I both ordered the Reuben sandwich.
Mine came out first. When I tried to take a bite I was unable to chew all the way through. Upon inspection the meat was about 50% fat. I began trimming the meat until I has a nice little pile of fat. 5 minutes later the other sandwich arrived and it was very lean. I asked the waitress to compare the two and she took mine back. The cook should be fired for letting something that disgusting to leave the kitchen. I also think $13 for 4-6 ounces of corned beef, saurkraut and cheese is insane.
Our waitress was also very slow and the place was not busy. Unfortunately I won’t be back.

Went in again this week. They did not have turkey. It was out. Went for the Brisket. I thought is was good. My wife had the Pastrami and no complaints from her. They have to be consistent. That being said I think I like Toojays better. Never been to Ben;sin Boca but in NY they were the best. I still lvoe Carnegie Deli but last time the roast beef was cut so thick, tastes better thin IMHO. The menus have tape all over them. They need some help to fix the menus etc or they wont survive. The location is not great and word of mouth here is pretty mixed.

    Simply AWEFUL! Service was horrendous.
    They had no hard salami??
They said come back 2 weeks.

    Go to Two Jays!!!

Dont waist your money on this garbage.
I had a hot dog that was burned as well.

  13. robertw says...

I went in again today! Lunch time. No Turkey again. I was told that it was too hot to cut. Now folks (as jeff would say) this is lunchtime. I am about out of patience with them. I dont think they will last long. Look how many people here are pissed. I thought they were OK. My wife thought the pastrami was ok.

Dont have the food available that is on the menu. waitress was not a happy employee

  15. robertw says...

Looks like they don’t have enough money to have the menu items. Huge issues. The location also stinks big time. Pasquales got a special deal on rent. (i know this) He at least is more visible from the street. Menus are really poorly done. Whoever owns the place, do they realize the ship is sinking fast. They need to offer delivery or something to increase sales as well.

Just happened to read your post and hope by this time you have landed on your feet. I have been trying to locate Joy Harrison, Denise Zinger’s mother. I’m a relative. Can you help?

      Thanks in advance.
